Chapter 1137 Hunting
Chapter 1137 Hunting
Arthur finally found the mysterious swordsman, the very person who was able to withstand his attack! As expected, he really was in the Exhibition Tournament!
He couldn’t help but get excited. If all things went well, he’d be fighting Jaku in the next stages.
Once that happened, he’d be able to quell the beating of his Sword Heart. Ever since the incident in the dungeon, Arthur felt his own heart beating with insecurity. He had never found another swordsman who could match him with the turn of sword.
With this opportunity, Arthur would be able to prove to himself that he was the better of the two swordsmen. After all, he’d be able to use his own power without limits. He’d be able to use his Aubility Power and his Sword Heart in tandem.
Sure, this demi-human had an Aubility Power of his own. But even that wouldn’t be enough to defeat him.
Only time would tell.

Meanwhile, in a secluded area of the Colosseum, the Heavenly Knight Swordsman watched the fight with great amusement.
Eldea was pleasantly surprised to see some unexpected wins this morning. Fenix and the other Knights who hadn’t been performing well before now finally showed off their true talents.
This was exactly the reason why she started this exhibition match in the first place. She wanted to shake things up! The Knights and swordsmen have been far too complacent recently. They needed a change in pace, especially with the turmoil brewing in New Sparta.
Now, those who unexpectedly lost in the first round would feel incredibly motivated to become stronger. This, in turn, would make the competition in the future that much more intense.
“Swordmistress, you have a visitor.”
Eldea raised her head. And before the visitor even came near her, she already knew who it was.
She could smell him from a mile away.
“Huntrax,” she muttered.
Soon after, a man wearing what could only be described as the attire for beggars entered the room. He didn’t just look like a hobo, he smelled like one too. His tattered brown coat looked like it had stains from vastly different liquids.
“I wonder how you can shoot your arrow without your target smelling you from far away,” Eldea commented.
“Hahaha, that still doesn’t help them escape my arrows,” Huntrax said. He sat opposite Eldea, cleaning his nose as he did so.
The butler frowned at such a vulgar display of manners. But the man was a Heavenly Knight. He simply couldn’t say what he wanted to say.
“What do you come here for?” she asked him straight. “Aren’t you going to hunt a gigantic beast or something?”
Huntrax raised his hands. “No need to be so defensive, old friend. I’m simply here to check out New Sparta. I’ve been seeing a lot of those automobiles start to spread out in the continent, you know. It’s been making it harder tracking down my targets.”
Eldea scoffed. She knew that Huntrax wouldn’t have trouble shooting down a target even if they were riding a car as fast as light itself.
“If that were indeed so, then you wouldn’t have brought your students here.”
At this point, Huntrax laughed and opened his arms wide. “You got me. I’m here for a hunting mission.”
The Heavenly Swordmistress frowned. A hunting mission? If the Heavenly Shooter was forced to act, then the target must be someone big. “Hunting what?”
Huntrax displayed a crazed look. “Not what. Who.”
Hearing this, Eldea paused for a few seconds. There were only a few human targets who required a Heavenly Knight to act. Eventually, she figured out the truth.
And in the most hushed of words, she whispered:
“The Grandmaster.”
Huntrax winked at her. “Exactly. We’ve heard from the Eternitus Consortium that he’s hiding somewhere here in New Sparta.”
Eldea pursed her lips. She didn’t know how to feel knowing that one of their biggest problems was just hiding under her nose this entire time.
“Why am I hearing about this only now?” she asked him.
“I didn’t even tell my students why we’re here. You know how that guy reacts. If you even whisper his name into the air, he vanishes.”
They’d been hunting down the Grandmaster for decades now. And every time, he would escape from their clutches at the moment they sent their forces to him.
It was a difficult problem for everyone. The Grandmaster was a person whose strength rivaled that of the Heavenly Knights and the Mystic Masters.
If you didn’t send an army of Nascent Spirit Maugnetics towards him, then you wouldn’t even have a chance to get close to him. And if you did decide to send your forces to him, he was already gone. The man was slippery.
And the hardest part was that the Ersatz and the Consortium were like oil and water. They just couldn’t stand each other. The Grandmaster would never let his biggest rivals know his location, making sure they never even smelled a whiff of him.
Of course, they couldn’t be sure that he was actually here. The moment they tried to verify this, it would alert him that they knew his secret.
So, the best they could go with was a rumor. And since this information came from the Consortium, it was as good as true.
“Wait, how did the Consortium even know he was here?”
Huntrax shrugged. “They seem to have a reliable source.”
“How reliable?”
“You know the Stronghold that got destroyed here? It seems this person was the cause of that.”
Eldea did hear about a Platinum-led Stronghold being besieged recently. Not just one, but two. She thought it was the Consortium responsible for that.
“Looks like the Consortium found themselves a genius. My sources say that this genius is quite young as well. But the details are murky.”
Eldea wondered why there were so many geniuses popping up here and there. First Michael, then the Dragonborns, then now this mysterious Consortium genius.
Perhaps the world was preparing them for a worse situation…
