Chapter 1138 Werewolf taste
Chapter 1138 Werewolf taste
“I just wanted to warn you in case a fight breaks out,” Huntrax said to Eldea.
“You don’t want any help?”
Huntrax crossed his arms. “Are you kidding me? This is my hunt.”
The Heavenly Shooter was always a prideful one. He didn’t dislike the idea of getting help from other people. In fact, in a fight against the Grandmaster, he would probably do well with the help of a few more Heavenly Knights. However, he would like the chance to do things his own way at least at the very start.
As a stealth shooter, he was the most effective when he was the first one to strike.
After he did his job, then he would welcome the help. But before then, it would be best if he was left alone to hunt for his target.
He didn’t want anyone messing with his tempo. The Grandmaster was the hardest hunt he would probably be doing. If he wasn’t careful in hunting him down, then he may just spook his target into retreating. Or worse, he may just become the target for the hunt.
“Alright, if you want any help, then you can just contact me through here.”
Eldea handed him a phone.
A confused expression warped into Huntrax’s face. “What is this metal brick? Does it explode? Want me to throw this to the Grandmaster?”
Eldea laughed. “No. If you want to contact me, you can do so here through the phone. Butler, would you be so kind as to teach this clueless Heavenly Knight as to how a phone works.”
The butler took out his phone and began giving Huntrax a lesson on phone 101.
And as Huntrax began seeing the features of the phone, he couldn’t help but be shocked at its capabilities.
It truly looked like a product that was out of this world!
“I’ve saved your number in my phone and vice versa. It’s on speed dial, so it just takes one button for a call,” Eldea said.
But despite how useful it was, Huntrax couldn’t help but shake his head.
“Sorry, but I cannot have this phone. It will interfere with my hunt. I can’t have anyone tracking me while I’m fighting the Grandmaster.”
Eldea understood his problems. But if it really was a troublesome object, then she wouldn’t have even told him about it in the first place.
“You don’t have to worry. That phone won’t release any magic nor Aubility Power. Even I couldn’t sense anything.”
Huntrax’s jaw dropped. If Eldea couldn’t even sense an ounce of magical power from the phone, then it was basically guaranteed to not emit any Aubility Power.
After all, he knew just how sharp Eldea’s senses were. With her being blind, her other senses were turned up to an eleven. Perhaps, she was only second to him when it came to sensing things in the environment.
“Then how does it send those messages?”
Eldea shrugged. “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask its creator.”
Huntrax took a pause, before eventually shaking his head. “Nah. I have better things to do. I don’t need to know how something works in order to use it.”

Meanwhile, back in the Beastfolk area of the Colosseum, the Conglomerates and the Upper Echelons were doing everything they could to cater to the Beastfolks.
The Zentmeister company along with his other allies had approached the Werewolves knowing that they were the biggest customers they could try to gather.
After all, a Werewolf’s appetite was only second to the Draconians. The only problem was that the Werewolves liked to hunt their food rather than have it be served up on a plate.
Of course, that was just tradition. The Upper Echelons and the Conglomerates knew that Werewolves regularly ate domesticated food. They just had to be convinced.
“Werewolf Chiefs, hear my proposal,” said the Zentmeister patriarch. “We of the Upper Echelons are willing to provide you a service that will surely benefit both of our species as a whole.”
The Werewolf Chiefs looked at the Zentmeister Patriarch with disinterested looks.
“Where’s the glory in eating food off a plate? I would rather eat off the bone!” said the Chief of the Crimsonaire Tribe.
Immediately, the other Werewolves around him howled.
“I understand your wishes,” said the Zentmeister patriarch. “And I am willing to offer such services to you.”
Then with a nod, the Zentmeister patriarch signaled for one of his employees to haul out a large cage containing a deer.
Immediately, the Werewolves howled in excitement. They could feel their hairs standing up, their inner wolves wanting to be let out and feast on this blessing from the moon.
But upon closer inspection, the Werewolves realized something.
This deer was no deer at all.
First of all, its skin was made out of something that only looked like deer pelt. But in fact, it was made out of some kind of mold that simulated the hairs of a deer.
“Werewolves, let me offer you an alternative. This deer is actually food made out of different kinds of meals.
Its skin is a type of mushroom. The insides are made out of cooked deer meat. The bones are made out of hard bread that is just as durable as the real one. It even has its own blood!”
Despite being made out of food, the deer looked real.
It got up off its feet and looked around its cage warily—exaclty like what a real deer would do in a room full of Werewolves.
“How is this possible?” asked the Niveous Tribe Chief. The Zentmeister Patriarch smiled. “Using our magic and Aubility Power, we have brought synthetic life onto this meal. Now, you’ll feel the satisfaction of a hunt right in front of a plate!”
He then unlocked the cage, letting the deer run straight out.
Immediately, a Werewolf lunged and took a bite of the deer.
Blood spurted out of its neck. And as soon as it did, the Werewolves felt themselves getting hungrier and hungrier.
They were hooked!
Perhaps the only one who wasn’t sold on the idea was Chief Lupan. He stood up, gathering everyone’s attention onto him.
