Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1039 More meetings

Chapter 1039  More meetings

The next day, the Upper Echelons were in a frantic mood.

Thanks to the automobiles, the Conglomerates were able to receive their first resource delivery, allowing them to finally set up their business in New Sparta.

This was very alarming. The Upper Echelons thought they’d have at least another week before the Conglomerates got their foundation set up, giving them time to gain an advantage, but now they were the one running behind.

And this would continue on later down the line. Without the automobiles, they’d have no chance against the Conglomerates.

This was exactly what they feared.

Unfortunately for them, they underestimated the automobiles. It wasn’t as fragile as they thought!

Now, they had to scramble to get one themselves or risk getting completely swallowed up by the sharks!

The easiest and cheapest option would be to simply queue up with the rest of New Sparta in buying automobiles. The only problem was that the Metropolis dealership was currently piled up with orders. And there was no skipping any lines.

But if they were to patiently wait, then they had to wait indefinitely. After all, even those from Metropolis had to wait an entire year before they could receive the car orders they made a few months ago. For the Upper Echelons, they’d probably have to wait one to two years at the minimum.

Of course, they could simply bypass a dealership and go straight to consumers.

They could buy a second-hand automobile.

Although many Metropolitans treasured their automobiles like it was their own family member, they would still get tempted by billions of gold coins, which the Upper Echelon could easily provide.

But even in that scenario, the Upper Echelons would be at an extreme disadvantage. Those automobiles were not made out of Damascus Steel! Meaning, they’d be subject to the same ambush that they did to the Conglomerates. If that happened, their automobiles would crumble like sand.

So, they had no choice but to go to the Reborn company, much to their dismay.

After all, the Upper Echelons knew that they would be going into the meeting having already lost the negotiation.

They disregarded their first meeting with the Rebornians, thinking that the automobiles were less than what they were valuing it for.

But now, they were proven wrong. And if they wanted to go back on their word and buy their own automobiles, they’d have to pay the price.

While all of that was happening, Michael and the Reborn company were hard at work in completing their plans.

The Reborn Road and Railway System was already making massive progress, about two times faster than normal.

And that was when the Shadow Orcs were still getting used to working construction. But now that a few days had passed, they were starting to get in the groove of things, making their work a lot faster.

Day and night, one could hear the rhythmic shouting and slapping of muscles and quills.

Michael watched them work frequently and was glad to see them doing well. The Shadow Orcs felt themselves much more comfortable out in the wilderness, harkening back to their old lives.

And on one particular day, he suddenly got a text message from his phone.

{From: Castelle}

{Young Master. They’re finally here.}

He quickly descended into his own shadow and teleported back in the Rebornian headquarters just outside of the walls of New Sparta.

Inside the concrete walls of their building, he found Yuna, Sheina, and Castelle already waiting for him.

“How is it?” he asked them.

“They’re anxious and desperate,” Castelle replied. “Many of them want to be the first one we talk to.”

“What did you do?”

“Don’t worry Young Master. I’ve already arranged everything. We’ve queued them up based on whoever treated us nice last time. If they disrespected us before this, then they’re at the very back of the line.”

Ever since Castelle experienced a face-to-face confrontation with the dapper man, she had a substantial change.

Not just on her cultivation, but her mentality as well. She was on top of her game!

“Where are they?” he asked. “Let’s start the squeeze.”

Castelle shook her head. “Let’s wait a few more minutes, Young Master. The more they’re anxious, the better our results will be.”

“What if they get angry and leave?”

She smiled. “They won’t. I could feel the demand for our automobiles skyrocketing yesterday. They can’t afford not to get an automobile from us. The Damascus gamble was a success.”

That was right. The Damascus outer covering was Castelle’s plan all along. She immediately knew that by increasing the value of the automobile, they’d be able to change the perception of the cars to the Upper Echelon.

They empowered the Conglomerates. Just like what the Upper Echelons feared.

And truly, they were scared. Meaning, they’d be much more susceptible to their demands.

“Okay, bring in our first meeting,” he said to Castelle.

With a nod, the door opened by itself and revealed the person waiting outside.

A man with an impeccable royal attire walked forward and gave everyone a curt nod.

Michael’s eyes widened. “Good morning once again, one and all.”

This was the dapper man from before!

Michael looked back at Castelle, whose eyes were currently alight with a fiery flame.

Using his shadow, he whispered to Castelle.

“I thought you said that you put those who disrespected us at the very end of the queue?”

Castelle looked back at him. “I did, Young Master. But I just had to see. I couldn’t wait one second longer before getting our retribution.”

Unexpectedly, Castelle went straight for the boss instead of warming up!

It seemed that their encounter before affected her much more than he thought.

She was raring for revenge.

Now, the circumstances have completely changed. She was not the same naive CEO that she had been before. Now, she was ready.

“Good morning,” Castelle replied.

“I must say, I’m surprised. I thought you wouldn’t want to meet with our company after that. Much less be the first one you’ll talk to.”

Castelle smiled at the dapper man. “Yes. We must set an example, after all.”
