He looked at the middle-aged white man lying on the ground. The man’s head was misshapen, and a section of his arm was gone, likely severed by a grenade.

Wu Yun sighed. The man who had been so arrogant last night had now gone to meet his God.

Just then, Caviar walked over and said, "Boss! Twenty people in total! That doesn’t match the number we scouted earlier. There should be two or three more who aren’t here."

Wu Yun composed himself, the color returning to his face. "It’s fine! The rest are just small fries. Their boss is lying right here!"

Although he said that, to avoid any future trouble, Wu Yun resolved to get rid of them for good. ’Cut the weeds and pull out the roots,’ he thought. While feigning an inspection of the scene, he focused his mind on the system’s store.

’System, custom service: eliminate the remaining Mexican Gang members who know about me!’

"DING~ Generating service. Host, please pay two million RMB!"

Wu Yun was puzzled. ’Does it really cost this much to kill a few gang members?’

"DING~ Host, the custom service includes investigating the targets’ information and locations, as well as the real-world payment for the assassins."

Wu Yun no longer hesitated and paid the two million. The system immediately sent him a message containing detailed information on the remaining three men, including their names and current locations.

When Wu Yun saw the faces of the two assassins who had accepted the job, he was utterly shocked. ’It’s them!’

"We’ve got a convoy incoming! Three pickups! From the direction we came! No immediate threat." Hawkeye’s voice sounded over the comms.

Wei Wu and his two men instinctively clicked the safeties off their guns. After having Wu Yun and Wang Hao take cover behind the front of their vehicle, they walked out to meet the approaching trucks, which were kicking up a massive cloud of dust.

"DiDi~"

Wu Yun saw the three pickup trucks stop in front of Wei Wu. An elderly white man with white hair, dressed in casual clothes, stepped out of the lead truck.

After exchanging a few words with him, Wei Wu turned and walked back toward them.

Once they reached the site, everyone got out of the pickups. Their expressions didn’t change in the slightest upon seeing the gruesome scene. One by one, they pulled on rubber gloves and protective suits, preparing to get to work.

Only then did Wei Wu wave to Wu Yun and say, "Boss, you can come out now!"

Wu Yun walked over and sized up the elderly white man in the lead. He had an upright posture and a strong build. If not for the wrinkles on his face and his white hair, Wu Yun would have thought he was a middle-aged man.

"Boss! This is their leader, codename Cleaner No. 5!"

Hearing Wei Wu’s introduction, the elderly white man smiled and said, "Sir, you can just call me No. 5!"

"Now, let’s discuss the cleaning fee for this service! I just took a look around the scene and evaluated the cost. According to our rates, you will need to pay us a fee of 800,000 USD."

Wu Yun was taken aback. The fee seemed reasonable. He had initially thought it would be at least a million USD; the system store had quoted one and a half million USD to erase every trace.

However, Wu Yun couldn’t very well purchase the service in front of everyone.

So Wu Yun nodded and asked, "Mr. No. 5, how thorough can you be?"

No. 5 chuckled. "We can make it like this never happened. We won’t leave a single trace behind."

Seeing the skeptical look on Wu Yun’s face, No. 5 explained, "Our staff are absolute professionals. They’re all retired from professional organizations like Fu Bole, and some are even current Fu Bole agents working part-time. We can completely eliminate all leads from every angle. Including these people’s recent activity!"

Wu Yun turned his head and saw a figure in white use tweezers to pick a bloody piece of a skull with hair still attached from a pile of gravel, placing it in a bag. Then, the person casually took a small bottle from their waist and sprinkled some powder on the spot.

Another worker was sweeping the area with a metal detector. Whenever it beeped, they would bend down and pick up the metal object from the ground.

The rest of the crew first took out body bags and packed the corpses inside. In no time, the scene that had been littered with bodies was suddenly empty.

Only the bloodstains on the ground and the somewhat battered cars nearby still showed that a battle had taken place here.

No. 5 pointed to a worker who was pouring a white liquid onto the bloodstains. "That is our organization’s specially formulated bloodstain remover. It reacts completely with blood. After a few minutes, even the most advanced detection equipment available today will have difficulty finding any trace of it."

However, Wu Yun was quite curious about the abandoned cars, so he asked about them.

No. 5 smiled like a kindly old grandfather. "Sir, these cars will be dismantled into parts, sent into a shredder, and then melted down in a steel furnace."

After giving Wu Yun a bit more detail about their workflow, No. 5 began to usher them out. "Sir, you can leave now. We’re going to clean up the traces you’ve left."

"Oh, right! That includes your companions using the drone and the anti-materiel rifle. We’ll clean up after them as well."

No. 5’s words sent a jolt through Wu Yun. He hadn’t expected that the man could discover that two more of his people were hidden elsewhere just by scanning the scene once.

Wu Yun knew that if they could determine the existence of Hawkeye and Poison Thorn, they could definitely figure out their positions with a little effort.

On Wu Yun’s Detection Glasses, this kindly old man actually possessed five Master Level Skills. This was the first time Wu Yun had ever seen such a thing.

Before Wu Yun could react further, No. 5 pulled a simple business card from his bag and handed it to him. "Sir, our organization can provide professional services for you anywhere in the world, at any time, as long as you can pay enough cash."

Wu Yun subconsciously took the card. He then had Wang Hao bring over the duffel bag full of cash. After the fee was counted out, Wu Yun and his group got in the car, first returning to Little Stone Mountain to pick up Hawkeye and Poison Thorn, then drove back the way they came, toward the highway.

...

「US-Mexico Border, in a small town in Mexico.」

Anthony and two of his underlings were sitting at an outdoor table at a roadside coffee shop, watching the various passersby. Only Anthony kept looking at his phone, as if something interesting was playing on the screen.

’Damn it! Why haven’t they called yet!? Did they let them get away!?’ Anthony was getting anxious, complaining incessantly in his mind.

A somewhat skinny underling next to him was playing on his phone with one hand, while his right hand casually picked up his coffee from the table. He took a small sip before saying, "Anthony! Don’t be so anxious! The boss took twenty guys with him. Dealing with a few fat sheep from Huaxia should be a piece of cake, right!? We just need to wait here to provide backup!"

Anthony frowned. "What do you know! I just feel uneasy, like something bad is about to happen."

Hearing Anthony say that, the other underling who hadn’t spoken also clutched his chest. "Now that you mention it, Anthony, I’m starting to feel it too! A little panicky! You think it’s because we partied too hard last night!?"

Anthony thought he had a point, so he got up and said, "Waiting around here is getting us nowhere. I’m turning my ringer on. Let’s go back to the motel and rest while we wait for the boss’s call!"

The three of them then stood up, drained their coffees, and left the table, walking towards a motel with a sign not far away.

After the three had walked some distance away, a couple watched their receding backs. The woman said softly, "From the looks of it, the drug is about to take effect."

"Luojia, are you sure this drug will make them die suddenly from a heart attack within one or two hours!?" the man next to her asked, a little hesitant.

"We’ve been together for so long! Don’t you trust my skills yet?" the woman said, looking displeased.

"I do trust you! But I just want to be sure! Last time, it was because we didn’t time it right that we ended up being hunted and had to jump onto a life raft!"

The man continued, talking to himself, "If we hadn’t run into that rich guy from Huaxia, the two of us would have been baked into mummies or ended up at the bottom of the sea by now!"

The woman, unable to stand his nagging, said impatiently, "Leach, if you say one more word, I’m shoving the drug up your ass tonight."
