Rebirth: I have Monopoly System

Chapter 417 - 369: A Swift Return Home and Wu Yun’s Lottery

  • Next Chapter

After leaving the scene to the cleaners, Wu Yun and his group made a beeline for Atlanta. They passed through Texas on the way but didn’t stop.

At the Gulfstream Company, Wu Yun and his group received a warm welcome.

With the director and technical engineers of the Gulfstream Company as their guides, Wu Yun got a thorough rundown of his new Gulfstream G650.

Wu Yun was very satisfied with the custom-built secret compartments he had requested. He promptly had Nirvana Investment pay the full sum of 62 million US dollars, equivalent to 424 million Huaxia Coin.

Of course, since Wu Yun had used a 50% off card for the plane purchase, the system had transferred half of the funds into the Nirvana Investment account under Wu Yun’s name.

After completing the paperwork with the help of the staff, Wu Yun decided to fly directly to Los Angeles.

On the Gulfstream Company runway, Wu Yun and his team easily transferred all their equipment from their cars to the plane.

As for the two rental cars, someone was there to take them back.

Attended by the pre-hired flight crew, Wu Yun and his party began their journey back to Huaxia.

Wu Yun was using Los Angeles as a stopover. While waiting for their flight path to Huaxia to be approved, he arranged to meet with Dwayne Johnson, with whom he’d been in contact.

"Dear Wu! Long time no see!"

Wu Yun was still a little unaccustomed to Dwayne Johnson’s enthusiasm.

Although he and Dwayne Johnson had chatted occasionally and found they had a lot in common, Wu Yun still felt a little awkward being hugged by a burly man so much larger than him.

Fortunately, the bear hug from Dwayne Johnson was brief. He quickly let go and shook Wu Yun’s hand, saying, "From now on, we’re partners!"

Wu Yun and Dwayne Johnson had already hammered out the details for their Titan Game plan over the phone and internet. The plan was to establish a dedicated company. Wu Yun, through Nirvana Investment, would contribute 40 million US dollars for an 80% stake. Dwayne Johnson, serving as the company’s spokesperson and host, would hold the remaining 20% equity.

Thus, Titan Sports and Entertainment Co., Ltd. was born.

David Smith, a professional manager, was Wu Yun’s representative at Titan Entertainment, responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of Titan Sports and Entertainment Co., Ltd.

Sitting in the head office of Titan Entertainment, Wu Yun smiled at David Smith. "David! While I’m away, I need you to finalize the format and course design for the Titan Game as quickly as possible. I want to see the Titan Game on five continents—excluding Oceania—and I want the course on each continent to have its own unique characteristics."

"You can discuss the specific course elements with Dwayne. Also, hire professional sports medicine experts to help design the obstacles. We need to prevent injuries as much as possible!"

David thumped his chest. "Don’t worry, Boss! Mr. Johnson and I will get the Titan Game up and running as fast as we can!"

Dwayne Johnson, standing nearby, also laughed. "Wu, don’t you worry! Once the course is designed, I’ll personally invite you to come try it out."

After chatting for a little while longer, Wu Yun glanced at his watch. "It’s getting late! I need to fly back to Huaxia. I’m leaving everything in your hands!"

...

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Nirvana is now preparing for takeoff. Please fasten your seatbelts..."

Listening to the flight attendant’s sweet voice over the intercom, Wu Yun buckled the seatbelt on the sofa, a thrill of excitement running through him. ’This is my very own private jet!’

He had already flown from Atlanta to Los Angeles, but the full experience of owning a private jet hadn’t quite sunk in yet.

It was the same kind of excitement as getting a new car—the kind that makes you want to sleep in it.

The pilot was excellent, and the plane climbed smoothly into the stratosphere.

Just then, two attractive flight attendants emerged from the galley, pushing a small service cart. While asking Wei Wu and the others up front if they needed anything, they also announced that everyone could now unfasten their seatbelts and move about the cabin.

"Mr. Wu, can I get you anything?" one of the attendants, Yang Qi, asked softly.

Wu Yun’s eyes remained fixed on his laptop screen. "I’ll have a black tea. Oh, and prepare my bed."

"Right away, Mr. Wu. Please give me a moment." Pushing the cart, Yang Qi walked toward the front of the cabin, her slim waist swaying.

Back in the galley, the other flight attendant teased, "Qiqi! So? Is President Wu easy to talk to?"

On the previous flight from Atlanta to Los Angeles, Wu Yun had been on video calls the entire time, so neither of them had gotten a chance to get close to the famous billionaire.

Yang Qi shrugged as she prepared the tea. "I don’t know. We only exchanged a couple of sentences. He didn’t even look up at me. He seems really busy."

"Of course he’s busy! The man’s the chairman of several companies, so it’s only natural! Still, there was that rumor online that he has a girlfriend... I wonder if it’s true," the other, more flirtatious-looking attendant said with a wistful expression.

"Xiangting, I’d advise you to drop it," Yang Qi said. "I remember he admitted in person that he has a girlfriend, so it’s not just a rumor. And even if you were to try anything, you should at least wait until you know him better." Yang Qi sighed to herself. ’She and I were both chosen from a huge pool of applicants, and I know exactly what was on Liu Xiangting’s mind when she applied.’

Of course, Yang Qi couldn’t deny that she had harbored similar hopes herself. When she heard Wu Yun was hiring a personal flight crew, she had eagerly applied for an interview. Beyond the high salary, there had also been that sliver of wishful thinking.

As a private flight attendant, Yang Qi had even taken a special course in the art of tea. She was therefore able to skillfully prepare Wu Yun’s black tea, leaving not a single stray leaf in the cup.
