Just as Wu Yun had predicted, Ayaka Sanji’s luck seemed divinely blessed for the next stretch of time. They played over ten rounds, and she only lost three bets.

Seeing Ayaka Sanji’s lucky streak, the many tourists and gamblers around them began to follow her bets.

Fortunately, they were all small bets, so the casino didn’t react. The dealer, on the other hand, was starting to sweat, though it was hard to tell if it was from stress or exhaustion.

In a surveillance room somewhere, a massive screen displayed Wu Yun’s table.

A middle-aged white man stared intently at the magnified feed. After a long moment, he spoke. "That woman’s not a problem! She’s just lucky!"

He then moved the mouse and closed the magnified feed. The hand he used was clearly missing its index and middle fingers, but no one around him seemed to find it unusual.

A young white man, clearly a supervisor, asked, "Have you run a check on that couple’s identities?"

"Sir, they’re not a couple. The man is a billionaire from Huaxia. We looked into him—it was easy. His net worth is at least a billion US dollars."

The subordinate, dressed in a sharp suit, continued, "The woman is a C- or D-list actress from Japan, not famous at all. We checked their hotel registrations; no overlap. It’s probably just a fling."

A smile spread across the young white man’s face. "Isn’t there a high-stakes game in two days? Send him an invitation later!"

"YES, SIR!"

The young white man suddenly recalled the matter at hand. "If they keep winning, don’t worry about the small-stakes stuff. Once the amount gets large, invite them to one of the high-stakes tables."

...

Ayaka Sanji quickly won back the ten thousand dollars Wu Yun had just lost, and even added another twenty thousand on top.

Wu Yun’s arm was now wrapped around Ayaka Sanji’s waist. They were pressed tightly together, looking just like a couple.

"Ayaka, try a ten-thousand-dollar chip."

Ayaka Sanji smiled brightly and nodded. By now, her earlier timidity had vanished, her mind completely consumed by the thrill of winning.

Seeing Ayaka Sanji take the ten-thousand-dollar chip from Wu Yun, the dealer wiped a bead of sweat from his brow. "Sir, Ma’am! This is the low-stakes area. If you wish to place larger bets, please move to the mid-stakes area up front!"

Just then, Nick spoke up. "Mr. Wu, that’s just the casino’s policy. Would you prefer to continue playing here, or move to the mid-stakes tables?"

Without removing his arm from around Ayaka Sanji’s waist, Wu Yun exchanged a glance with her before speaking. "The mid-stakes area it is, then! Wang Hao, go exchange all of these for chips of one thousand dollars and up."

Once Wang Hao returned with the new chips, Wu Yun and his group were led to another section of the casino.

Wu Yun noticed that this area was just as noisy as the low-stakes section. However, there were far fewer tourists and gamblers here, and the attire of most people was a world away from that of the average person.

"Mr. Wu, would you like to continue with dice, or would you prefer poker?" Nick asked.

’Poker requires skill,’ Wu Yun thought. ’Ayaka Sanji’s luck is on fire right now. A game like dice, which requires almost no skill, is perfect.’

"Let’s stick with the dice game from before!"

Thus, Wu Yun and his group were led to a table helmed by a middle-aged white dealer.

Nick explained, "Mr. Wu, the minimum bet here is five hundred dollars."

Wu Yun nodded and casually took a few one-thousand-dollar chips from Wang Hao. "Come on, Ayaka! Let’s test our luck! We’ll both give it a try!"

Breathing in Ayaka Sanji’s fragrance, Wu Yun felt quite pleased.

As the dealer shook the dice cup, Wu Yun casually placed a thousand-dollar chip on ’Big’.

Ayaka Sanji thought for a moment, then said with a smile, "Wu Yunsang! In that case, I’ll bet on the opposite!"

’This way, we’d probably break even,’ Ayaka Sanji thought, ’but it’s safer than both of us betting on the same outcome.’

"Place your final bets!" the dealer announced loudly, setting the dice cup down in its designated spot.

All at once, the people around them threw their chips onto their chosen sections.

"BIG, BIG, BIG!"

"SMALL, SMALL, SMALL!"

"TRIPLE!"

Amidst the shouts of the crowd, the dealer lifted the lid of the dice cup!

A smile spread across Wu Yun’s face when he saw the result. He’d finally won a round!

Ayaka Sanji looked up into Wu Yun’s eyes, a bashful expression on her face. "Wu Yunsang, I’m sorry! I lost your money!"

Seeing Ayaka Sanji’s alluring expression, Wu Yun happily planted a kiss on her cheek. "It’s nothing! No matter what, you’re my lucky goddess tonight."

Ayaka Sanji said shyly, "Wu Yunsang, how could you do that? I wasn’t ready!"

Hearing this, Wu Yun leaned in and kissed her right on her red lips. Seeing the spectacle, the surrounding crowd started to clap and cheer. Wu Yun’s bodyguards were the loudest of all.

"Yeah!"

Ayaka Sanji’s eyes widened as she looked at Wu Yun.

Wu Yun licked his lips, tasting something sweet, and said with a grin, "Ready now?"

Before Ayaka Sanji could react, Wu Yun smiled and handed her a thousand-dollar chip he’d just won. "Keep betting. Everyone’s waiting for us!"

Over the next few rounds—whether because Ayaka Sanji was distracted or because Wu Yun’s luck had completely turned around—Wu Yun won his bet every single time, while Ayaka Sanji lost round after round.

Ayaka Sanji leaned gently into Wu Yun’s arms and said in a coquettish tone, "Wu Yunsang, it’s all up to you from here on out! I think my luck has run out."
