Chapter 176: Ruinborn Vampire (Part 2)

Liam groggily opened his eyes, a look of confusion flashing in them.

"You are up."

Just then, a voice reached his ears, and he turned his head, seeing William looking at him with a stiff smile.

"William..." He muttered in confusion before his mind finally cleared up, and he remembered where he was.

He immediately tried to sit up, but for some reason, he found that his body was not in the right condition.

Feeling confused, he looked down at his body, and his soul almost left his body.

"Your Mother..." He nearly cursed out loud, feeling his mind go blank when he saw his lower half looking similar to a bat.

"William, this..." He asked in a trembling tone.

William showed a guilty look and lowered his head.

"I am sorry, Liam. But something went wrong during the ritual..." He looked at him with a complicated look. "Now you are half bat, half human... You can be called Batman."

Liam nearly collapsed when he heard William’s words, and his face turned pale.

"Ho-how is this possible?" He muttered with a blank look, staring at himself with dead eyes.

Smack!

"Ouch!"

Just as he was feeling despair, a loud smacking sound echoed, and William jumped up.

"Stop scaring him," Vivian said, laughing inwardly at finally being able to spank William.

She still hadn’t forgotten when he had spanked her last time. She had been waiting for a chance since then and had finally gotten one.

William rubbed his backside and looked at her with twitching eyes.

Vivian completely ignored him and spoke to Liam.

"Stop looking like you are already dead. Your current appearance is because of your Shapeshifting Ability."

Liam, who had gained a bit of life after seeing a bastard rubbing his backside, was stunned upon hearing Vivian.

"Shapeshifting Ability..." Liam muttered in confusion.

Vivian nodded and explained to him how to control it.

Five minutes later, Liam returned to his normal appearance, though his hair was still platinum-white.

"If not because I am afraid of making my sister-in-law a widow, I would have gone on a killing spree today," Liam said while looking at William and gritting his teeth.

God knew how afraid he had been when William said something had gone wrong with the ritual.

Cough.

William coughed in embarrassment when he saw his resentment-filled look and quickly changed the subject.

"Alright, my friend, congratulations! Now you are one of the very few people in the world who possess an Apex Grade Bloodline."

"Apex Grade Bloodline..." Liam finally stopped thinking about William’s deed upon hearing about his bloodline and felt the changes in his body.

First, he could feel that his physical strength had increased greatly compared to before.

Not only that, the amount of Aether Energy his core could hold had also doubled, with its intensity being far superior to before.

But most importantly, he opened his status window and looked at the abilities he had gained, and his eyes gleamed slightly.

"What abilities did you receive?" William quickly asked when he saw Liam checking the abilities he had received from his Bloodline.

"Is it Blood Manipulation?" Vivian also asked curiously.

"There is no Blood Manipulation." Liam shook his head. "The first ability is Super Regeneration, the second ability is Mind Suggestion, and the last one is Blood Lightning."

William and Vivian were not surprised by the first two abilities, but when they heard the name of the third ability, a look of confusion appeared on their faces.

"Blood Lightning..." William looked at Vivian. "Have you heard about this before?"

Vivian shook her head. "I have never heard about any vampire having this ability." She paused before adding.

"In fact, some low-level vampires and blood slaves are even afraid of lightning because, similar to holy light, lightning also deals additional damage to vampires."

"You mean..." A stunned look appeared in William’s eyes.

"Yes." Vivian nodded. "Lightning is actually something that is not compatible with Vampires, so there has never been any vampire who possessed power related to it."

Both of them looked at Liam, who was equally stunned after hearing Vivian.

"Use your Blood Lightning Ability..." Vivian said to Liam.

Liam nodded and tried to use his newly gained ability.

Crackle! Crackle!— — —

Crimson arcs of lightning flashed across Liam’s palm, releasing a kind of destructive and murderous aura that would make people with weaker wills feel a palpitation in their hearts.

"This lightning..." Vivian’s eyes narrowed, and she waved her hand.

Suddenly, the lightning arcs flashing over Liam’s palm moved on their own and appeared before Vivian.

Liam was stunned when he saw this but did not say anything.

’It seems Sister-in-Law is far stronger than I thought...’ He thought inwardly, wondering if William would be beaten to death in case of a domestic dispute.

Vivian stared at the arcs of crimson lightning before her for a few seconds before crushing them.

"The power of this lightning is far superior to normal lightning powers..." She said and spoke to Liam. "Try to attack me."

"This..." Liam looked at William.

William nodded and spoke calmly. "Don’t worry, just do as she says."

"Alright..." Liam nodded, and the Aether Energy in his core churned. The next instant, a ball of crimson lightning, flashing with red arcs, appeared on his palm.

Liam put almost all of his Aether Energy into the lightning ball, trying to make it as strong as possible.

As the size of the lightning ball grew, even William felt a sense of threat from it.

This surprised him greatly. Currently, his physical body was already far stronger than that of a normal early-stage Star Commander.

But since he felt threatened by the lightning ball, it meant that this thing could break through his defense and hurt him.

’Liam is only an early-stage Star Warrior, and his attack is already enough to hurt a Star Commander.’

Even William was a bit stunned when he realized this.

"Be careful..." Liam suddenly said and shot the ball toward Vivian.

Vivian stretched out her hand and grabbed the incoming lightning ball like it was just a normal ball made of rubber.

BOOM!

The lightning ball exploded as soon as it was caught by her, but to Liam’s surprise, not a single arc of lightning spread through the room.

All the impact was stopped within Vivian’s palm.

"As I thought..." Vivian muttered and looked at Liam with narrowed eyes. "This lightning carries the Intent of Destruction within it."

"Intent of Destruction..." A look of confusion appeared on Liam’s face, and he was about to ask Vivian what she meant.

But just then—

Crackle! Crackle!— — — —

The sound of lightning cracking once again reached both Liam and Vivian’s ears, making them feel confused, as Liam was not using his ability.

Slowly, both of them turned their heads to look at William, and their eyes widened as they saw arcs of blood lightning flashing around his body as he nodded seriously.

"You are right, Vivi. There is Intent of Destruction inside this lightning."
