Chapter 177: Ruinborn Vampire (Part 3)

Just before Liam shot the lightning ball toward Vivian, William’s Chaos Bloodline successfully assimilated Liam’s blood into his Vampire Bloodline, and some notifications flashed on his status window.

(Your Origin Grade Vampire Bloodline is further perfected)

(You have acquired Bloodline Ability—Blood Lightning)

William was surprised when he saw that he had received the same ability as Liam.

But very soon, his attention was attracted by something else.

’A Ruinborn Vampire...’ He frowned slightly. ’Is it the name of Liam’s species?’

He glanced at Liam from the corner of his eyes and fell into deep thought.

’There is indeed information about some different vampires in my bloodline memories, but a Ruinborn Vampire... It’s the first time I am hearing about it.’

William also noticed the notification about his bloodline becoming more perfect.

Earlier, when he had drunk Liam’s blood, he had a feeling that his Vampire Bloodline was becoming more perfect.

But it was just a feeling; he wasn’t certain about it.

But seeing the notification, it could now be confirmed that even Origin Grade Bloodlines could be enhanced further.

’Could it be that drinking the blood of other Vampires and assimilating their bloodlines into mine is the way to further increase the grade of my Vampire Bloodline?’ William thought but soon frowned in confusion.

’If it is really about drinking the blood of other Vampires, then why didn’t I feel this same craving when I met Simon?’

William chose to ignore Vivian because his Vampire Bloodline had awakened using her blood. Meaning his Vampire Bloodline had already assimilated her Bloodline.

Since it was already assimilated, it was natural that his bloodline wouldn’t be attracted toward it, as it couldn’t increase its grade any further.

But Simon was different. He was also a vampire with Mystic Grade Bloodline, but unlike what he felt toward Liam’s Bloodline, William did not feel anything toward Simon’s Bloodline.

’There might be two reasons for this...’ William thought as he stared at the notifications on his status window.

’First, the grade of Simon’s Bloodline is not high enough for my Bloodline to feel anything toward it, and it couldn’t help make it more perfect. Second...’

He glanced at Liam.

’It might be because Liam’s Bloodline was actually awakened using my own Bloodline Origin. Since his Bloodline originated from my Bloodline, I can assimilate it to increase the grade of my own Bloodline.’

If his first guess was true, then he needed to drink the blood of vampires who possessed Royal Grade or higher-level Bloodlines to further perfect his own Bloodline.

But if his second guess was true, then only the people who acquired a Vampire Bloodline through his Bloodline Origin could help him further perfect his Vampire Bloodline.

All the thoughts passed through William’s mind rapidly, and by the time he came back to his senses, he heard Vivian’s voice.

"As I thought, this lightning contains a little bit of Intent of Destruction within it."

’Intent of Destruction...’ William was taken aback when he heard her and tried to use Blood Lightning as well.

Arcs of crimson lightning flickered around William, and he instantly felt a violent aura covering his entire being.

William’s eyes narrowed when he felt this violent aura, and he stared at the crimson lightning intently.

’Although I hadn’t mastered Intent of Destruction in the original timeline, I had seen an Abyssal Being using it during the war. Although this violent aura in the lightning is weaker than the violent aura of that Abyssal Being, there is no doubt that it is the Intent of Destruction.’

"You are right, Vivi. It’s indeed the Intent of Destruction..." He spoke to Vivian. "Have you ever heard about someone receiving a Bloodline Ability that comes with an intent?"

William waited for Vivian’s response, but even after a few seconds, he didn’t receive any reply.

Feeling confused, he looked at Vivian and Liam, only to see them staring at him with dumbfounded looks.

Only after seeing their expressions did he remember that they were unaware that he had gained the Blood Lightning ability as well, and his lips curled upward.

"William... How are you using the same ability as me?" Liam asked with his eyes wide open. "Didn’t Sister-in-Law just say she had never heard of any vampire who could use the power of lightning? Were you hiding this ability from her?"

Vivian didn’t say anything at Liam’s words, as she already had a guess as to why William could use Liam’s ability.

’So after drinking his blood, he got his ability?’ She thought inwardly, wondering if there was anything else besides gaining an ability.

"Your Bloodline came from my Bloodline, so it’s natural that I can use your abilities..." William said with a wave of his hand, not explaining much, as things about his Chaos Bloodline were too complicated.

Instead, he looked back at Vivian and repeated his earlier question.

Hearing him, Vivian shook her head.

"I have never heard about a Bloodline Ability that comes with its own intent. Moreover, it’s Intent of Destruction, one of the top-tier intents that a person could comprehend."

William’s eyes narrowed upon hearing Vivian’s confirmation.

’There is really something special about Liam’s Bloodline.’

Just as he was thinking, Liam asked.

"What is this intent you are talking about?"

William snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing him and shook his head.

"Don’t even think about intent for now. You at least need to reach Star King Level and condense your soul before you can start understanding intent. For now, just know that intent is a concept... A concept that you can use to bend the laws of the world according to your will." He paused before adding, "And since there is a trace of Destruction Intent in your lightning, it won’t be difficult for you to grasp it."

"Bend the laws of the world according to your will..." Liam was confused when he heard William’s words, but seeing that he did not want to explain, he did not ask anything.

William then asked Vivian about Ruinborn Vampire.

But similar to before, she hadn’t heard anything about this species of vampire.

"Are you sure he is something called a Ruinborn Vampire?" Vivian asked for confirmation.

"Yes." William nodded and looked at Liam. "It’s actually very simple for us to understand everything about his abilities and his species."

Liam’s eyes lit up when he heard William, as he also wanted to know everything about his Bloodline.

"How so?" He quickly asked.

William smiled slightly at his curious look and spoke calmly.

"Just go to sleep."
