RE: LORD OF TIME
Chapter 150: Tear Of God (Part 8)
"Blood God Cult..." William was stunned when he heard Simon’s words.
Suddenly, he thought about what this guy had been mumbling earlier, and his eyes widened.
"Could it be..." He looked at Simon and asked in a low voice.
"You were saying that I stole the power of your god. Were you referring to this?"
As he spoke, William released the aura of his bloodline once again.
"My Lord! It’s my Lord!"
Simon once again turned frantic, pressing his head against the ground as he continued to mumble.
William fell silent upon seeing his reaction, his mind reeling in shock.
’So these so-called people of the Blood God Cult are actually believers of the Blood Ancestor...’ He thought inwardly, feeling a sense of absurdity.
Taking a deep breath, he asked another question.
"How are you sure that this is the aura of your god?"
William was actually nervous when he asked this question.
If Simon said that he had actually felt this aura from a person before, it would mean that he had met the Blood Ancestor at some point.
That would indicate that the Blood Ancestor was also in the Vermilion Realm.
If the Blood Ancestor was really in the Vermilion Realm, it would be a real headache for William, as he was currently still very weak.
If the fact that he possessed the Vampire Progenitor Bloodline reached that guy, he did not know how that guy would react.
But upon hearing Simon’s answer, William’s uneasy heart calmed down a little.
"My Lord’s power... I felt his power when my Lord descended into the statue for a moment to grace us with his presence a few years ago. That magnificent aura... That superior posture..."
William’s expression couldn’t help but turn slightly strange when he saw the way Simon was acting.
From William’s perspective, it seemed that either this guy was mentally unstable or had been heavily brainwashed.
Just as William was planning to ask more questions, a blood-red, flower-like mark suddenly appeared on Simon’s face.
"That’s..." William’s pupils contracted as he recognized the strange mark on Simon’s face.
"Arghhhh!" Simon suddenly screamed in pain, and his body began to tremble violently.
If not for the black hands pressing him down, he might have already started rolling on the ground because of the intense pain.
"Blood Curse..."
William’s eyes narrowed as he looked at the mark that had appeared on Simon’s face.
’Did it trigger because he answered my question about the Blood Ancestor?’
William was lost in thought when he suddenly felt someone grab his leg.
"My Lord, please save your humble servant. This slave has been loyal to you since forever."
William was speechless when he saw this and couldn’t help but wonder if this guy’s unstable mind had finally shattered under the pain.
Now, he was even calling him My Lord, thinking that William was the Blood Ancestor.
But William still had many questions he wanted to ask Simon, so he didn’t remain idle.
’This Blood Curse was probably not placed on him by the Blood Ancestor, but by another powerful vampire...’
William thought about the other high-ranking members of the Blood God Cult and felt that it might be their work to make sure these people wouldn’t reveal their secrets.
"If it had been cast by the Blood Ancestor, I probably wouldn’t have been able to do anything. But since it wasn’t the Blood Ancestor..."
William muttered and pointed one of his fingers toward Simon.
Blood Curse was an ability that utilized the user’s blood to cast a curse upon a target.
The vampire who had cast the Blood Curse on Simon had also used his own blood as the medium to cast the curse.
Unfortunately for him, blood was something William had complete control over.
A drop of blood squeezed out from William’s fingertip and shot into Simon’s mouth.
"Don’t try to resist..." He said as his Aether Energy and Mental Power churned and he cast another Blood Curse on Simon, using his Progenitor Blood as the medium.
Instantly, the previous Blood Curse was devoured by William’s curse and replaced by the new, more powerful curse that he had cast.
As for what curse he had cast—
It was similar to the previous curse, but William had simply altered it so that Simon wouldn’t be able to reveal anything about him from now on.
As for why he cast this curse—
’He is a good chess piece to place inside the Blood God Cult...’
William thought, and his eyes glowed brightly.
The flower-like mark on Simon’s face slowly disappeared, and he stopped screaming before slumping to the ground.
While Simon’s mind was still in an extremely weakened state, William utilized every shred of his remaining Mental Power and activated the Heart Devourer ability.
"Simon..." The vampire weakly raised his head upon hearing his name, meeting William’s glowing red eyes.
"From now on, I am your Lord. The Lord whom you have been serving for a long time."
Almost all of William’s Mental Power disappeared instantly, and he felt a sharp headache assault his mind.
However, he didn’t even blink and continued staring at Simon while releasing his Vampire Progenitor Aura.
Although Simon had mistaken him for the Blood Ancestor earlier because of his almost-broken mental state, William knew that it was only because his mind had become unstable.
Once Simon recovered, he wouldn’t act like that again.
But things would change once William used Heart Devourer.
Normally, it would have been impossible for him to affect a Star Lord.
But because of Simon’s extremely weakened condition, the suppression of Eternal Night, and the enhancement William himself received from Eternal Night, the chances of success were very high.
Simon stared into William’s blood-red eyes, and for a moment, his own eyes glowed with the same crimson luster.
Then, the next second, a frantic expression appeared on Simon’s face.
"My Lord!" He grabbed William’s leg.
"My Lord, you came to grace this lowly one with your presence."
William’s face was pale, and his head was throbbing because he had used almost all of his Mental Power.
But despite this, he still couldn’t help but get goosebumps when he saw Simon’s frantic reaction.
He stopped using Eternal Night, and the darkness around them disappeared, making them reappear amid the bandit hideout.
"Get away."
William kicked Simon away, but the stubborn guy once again crawled toward him, trying to grab his leg.
"Try to touch me again, and I will chop off your hands..." William said through gritted teeth as he massaged his temples.
Hearing William’s displeased voice, Simon pursed his lips but didn’t try to touch him again.
After resting for a moment, William felt his headache recover slightly and finally looked at Simon, who was sitting on his knees with an obedient expression.
’Why do I have a feeling that I just got a pet for myself...?’ His mouth twitched slightly before he spoke.
"Tell me everything... What were you doing here?"
Hearing William’s words, Simon immediately began telling him everything without hiding anything.
As William listened to him, his expression gradually turned serious.
Then, from serious, it turned into shock.
About ten minutes later, Simon finally told him everything, and William fell into deep thought.
"Give that thing to me..." He said after a moment.
Simon didn’t say anything and took out a golden bottle from his storage ring, handing it to William.
William looked at the bottle in his hand, and his status window immediately showed its details.
