"Eternal Night!"

As William’s words echoed, darkness descended from the sky, and a black dome covered the entire bandit hideout.

The figure in black found everything around him plunged into complete darkness, making it impossible for him to even see his own hands.

"This..."

The man was startled and quickly used his skill to run away.

His figure flickered and turned into a puddle of black shadow-like mass, trying to escape.

But as he moved—

Bang!

His figure collided with the walls of the black dome, and no matter how much effort he exerted, he couldn’t break through it to escape.

"It’s useless..." Just as the man was about to put all of his effort into breaking the walls, a faint voice echoed from the sky.

Woosh!

The darkness that had engulfed everything began to recede slowly as a red glow began to spread everywhere.

The man raised his head, and his face hidden beneath the black cloak froze, his pupils contracting to the size of needles.

At the top of the black dome, a blood moon suddenly appeared, with William floating directly beneath it.

His platinum-white hair fluttered lightly as two jet-black wings spread behind his back, his eyes glowing a deep crimson color.

"I had sensed your aura the moment I entered the hideout..." William spoke while looking down at the man.

"I even found your aura somewhat familiar, but I couldn’t understand where that familiarity came from..."

As William spoke, the glow in his eyes intensified.

"But now... I finally understand where that familiarity came from."

The blood moon behind William suddenly pulsed as if it were a heart, and the next second—

Cough!

The man in the black cloak coughed out a mouthful of blood, his figure kneeling on the ground as he felt his powers being sealed by something.

"Are you going to take that thing off your face on your own, or do you want me to do it for you?"

The man remained in a kneeling position before slowly raising his hands and taking off the hood covering his face.

As the hood was removed, the face of a young man who appeared to be around twenty-five years old was revealed before William.

The man had short black hair, and his skin was pale white.

More importantly, his eyes were a deep red color, glowing faintly.

"As I thought, you are indeed a vampire..." William said with narrowed eyes and waved his hand.

As he did, black hands emerged from the walls of the dome and pinned the vampire to the ground.

The vampire didn’t try to resist and looked at William with hate-filled eyes, as if William had killed his parents.

William noticed the deep hostility in the vampire’s eyes and felt slightly confused.

’Why is he so hostile toward me?’ He thought inwardly before landing in front of him.

"Who are you?"

"You will die..." The vampire spoke in a frantic voice.

"How dare you... How dare you steal the power of our God? The Church Master won’t let you off. I won’t let you get away after stealing the power of our God. I will kill you..."

William was genuinely stunned upon seeing the frantic look on the vampire’s face, and his words made him even more confused.

"Kill you! Kill you and bring back my God’s power. I won’t let you go..."

William’s eyes narrowed as he pondered over the vampire’s words.

’Power of his God... Is he talking about my Vampire Progenitor Bloodline?’

William looked at the almost-mad vampire pinned to the ground, and the glow in his eyes slowly intensified.

’Normally, it would have been impossible to affect a Star Lord with my current power. But since he is a vampire and is currently suppressed by Eternal Night, I should be able to do it.’

The crimson glow in William’s eyes reached its peak, and he spoke in a commanding tone.

"Quiet!"

His voice echoed like a roar of thunder inside the vampire’s mind, and the madness on his face disappeared, replaced by a look of horror.

William felt his Aether Energy beginning to be consumed rapidly, as maintaining Eternal Night was by no means an easy task.

Eternal Night not only enhanced his combat abilities while he was inside its domain, but it also enhanced and erased all the negative aspects of vampires.

For example, the holy energy of Angels was very effective against vampires, but inside Eternal Night, that weakness of vampires disappeared, and holy energy no longer affected them.

It also granted all the vampires within Eternal Night the Blessing of the Progenitor, greatly increasing their power.

But similarly, Eternal Night could also suppress the power of vampires, making it difficult for them to utilize their strength.

In the Bloodline Memories William had seen, the blurry figure had used Eternal Night, and its domain covered such a vast area that it seemed capable of covering the entire world.

But because of William’s current strength, his Eternal Night could only cover an area of a few hundred meters.

Currently, he was using Eternal Night to suppress the power of the man in front of him.

Otherwise, it would have been impossible for him to restrain a Star Lord so easily.

William released some of his bloodline aura, and his presence became extremely domineering.

At least in the vampire’s eyes, it was as if he could feel the blood inside his body trembling.

"What’s your name?" William asked in a cold voice.

The man stared at William in fear and reverence at the same time, his body shaking as if he were suffering from withdrawal symptoms.

"S-Simon..." He answered tremblingly, but suddenly, his eyes turned bloodshot.

"Kill you! You stole my Lord’s power. I will kill you!"

William’s eyes twitched when he saw this scene.

’This guy... Is there something wrong with his brain?’ He couldn’t help but think, looking at the constantly changing expressions on Simon’s face.

Sometimes, it was fear, as if he were looking at something terrifying.

Sometimes, it was reverence, as if he were looking at a God.

And sometimes, it was hatred, as if he were looking at his worst enemy.

Taking a deep breath, William ignored Simon’s strange expression and asked again.

"What were you doing here with those bandits?"

Simon showed a struggling expression for a moment before finally speaking.

"I... I was executing the Blood God Cult’s mission here."
