RE: LORD OF TIME
Chapter 145: Tear Of God (Part 3)
Jamul, the leader of the Black Tiger Bandit Group was sitting inside a moderately decorated room, with a person covered in a black cloak from head to toe sitting in front of him.
"How are the preparations?" The man in the black cloak asked in a low voice.
"Two months at best..." Jamul answered in a respectful voice. "Everything will be ready within two months at most."
The aura around the cloaked man suddenly became colder.
"One month..." He spoke in a cold voice. "I will give you one month. If you don’t prepare everything in time, you can forget about the reward I promised you."
Jamul’s expression changed when he sensed the cold aura coming from the cloaked figure.
"My Lord, it’s not that we don’t want to hurry up. But you should know that if we go overboard, it will definitely attract the attention of other people..." He spoke in a cautious voice.
"We have already killed the guard captain of Rosewood Town. It might have already attracted the attention of some people. If we do anything else within such a short period of time, I am afraid that people from other areas will send someone powerful to deal with us."
"That’s none of my concern..." The cloaked figure said indifferently. "If you can’t get the people, then capture monsters. I don’t care how you do it. I only want results."
"That..." Jamul hesitated upon hearing his words.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to capture monsters, but the problem was that monsters were far more ineffective compared to humans for the work they needed to do.
If they captured monsters instead of humans, they would have to capture ten times their number compared to humans.
"Just say if you can’t do it. There are a lot of people who will gladly take your place."
Jamul felt a chill run down his spine and feeling the cold gaze fixed on him, he gritted his teeth and nodded.
"I will accomplish the task within one month."
"Good..." The cloaked figure finally nodded and stood up, ready to leave.
"I will return in one month. Hopefully, you won’t disappoint me. Otherwise..."
Although the cloaked figure did not finish his sentence, Jamul knew what kind of fate would befall him if he failed, so he hurriedly nodded.
"Don’t worry, My Lord. I won’t disappoint you."
The cloaked figure didn’t say anything and turned around to leave.
However, just as he turned around, a bloody aura, an aura that seemed to come from a distant time, engulfed the entire bandit hideout.
Jamul’s expression changed, and his face became grim.
"Someone found our hideout..." He said in a shocked voice, unable to understand how someone could find them amid the complex terrain of the Black Hills.
But soon, his expression turned strange.
Although the bloody aura gave him a sense of danger, he could tell that it was the aura of a peak Star Warrior.
"This..." A look of hesitation appeared on his face. "Could it be that the person who came is just a Star Warrior?"
He looked at the cloaked figure and saw him standing in the same spot without moving.
Jamul thought that he wasn’t leaving because he was waiting for him to deal with the intruder, so he immediately bowed.
"I will take care of them immediately," He said before quickly leaving the room.
However, what he didn’t notice was that beneath the black cloak, the person’s face was filled with disbelief, and his eyes were trembling.
"This aura... It can’t be..."
The person muttered with heavy breathing before immediately rushing out of the room, wanting to confirm his guess.
With his wings flapping lightly, William hovered a hundred meters high in the sky, looking at the bandits who were hurriedly coming out.
’About forty-six of them...’
William glanced at the bandits, who were mostly normal people and hadn’t even reached the Star Warrior level.
Among them, only about fifteen were at the Star Warrior Realm, with most of them being at the early and middle stages and only a few at the peak of the Star Warrior level.
William didn’t care about these people, and his eyes soon landed on the three people who were coming from the back, his eyes narrowing slightly.
’If I remember correctly, the name of their leader was something like Bamul or Lamul...’
William’s eyes rested on the tall man with dark bronze skin.
The man was nearly 210 cm tall, with muscles bulging all over his body.
His bald head shone under the sunlight, and his entire frame screamed of brute strength.
Most importantly, the aura around him was at the peak of the Star Commander level.
The two men walking beside him also had the auras of a middle-stage and an early-stage Star Commander.
William guessed that they were the two vice leaders of the bandit group.
But the thing that made William frown was that from deep inside the hideout, he could feel another faint aura.
Moreover, this aura was far stronger than Jamul’s.
’If I remember correctly, there was no such powerful person among this group of bandits...’ He thought, the frown on his face deepening.
What made him even more confused was that this aura gave him a sense of familiarity.
It was just that he couldn’t understand where this sense of familiarity came from.
William thought for a moment before taking a deep breath, and his eyes returned to calm.
’Whatever. Even if it’s a Star Lord, I can safely escape using my wings. After all, the flying ability of a Star Lord is limited.’
While William was looking at them, Jamul and the two other Star Commander-level bandits had already reached the front of the bandit group.
And when they saw the black uniform William was wearing, they immediately recognized it as the uniform of Sun and Moon Academy.
"Damn it, it’s a student from that cursed place."
Jamul couldn’t help but curse when he saw the uniform William was wearing.
"Boss, why do I feel the aura of a Star Warrior from him?" Goran, the early-stage Star Commander couldn’t help but ask.
"It’s because that brat really is a Star Warrior."
Molar, the middle-stage Star Commander-level bandit spoke with a sneer, and a look of greed flashed in his eyes.
"He must be using an artifact to fly. If we catch him, that artifact will belong to us."
Jamul frowned at Molar’s words because he felt that something was not right.
Although William’s aura was that of a Star Warrior, the pressure he emitted was by no means weak.
In fact, it gave him a sense of threat.
"How are you going to capture him? As long as that guy doesn’t come down, we won’t be able to do anything," Goran said in a dark voice. "Moreover, if that brat simply turns around and leaves, we wouldn’t be able to stop him. Once he reports us, it will be game over."
Just as Goran finished speaking, he was stunned because he saw William slowly descending from the sky on his own.
A strange look flashed in the eyes of the bandits, but soon, it was replaced by excitement.
"This guy seems to want to fight us on the ground," Molar said in a surprised voice, his expression somewhat frantic.
Looking at the wings on William’s back, he couldn’t help but imagine himself flying using them.
William looked at the happy expressions of the bandits, and his lips couldn’t help but curl upward in disdain.
He had come here to test his strength, so of course, he wouldn’t just attack from the sky until they could no longer hold their ground.
’I wonder if all of you will still be this happy after a few minutes...’
William thought as he finally landed some distance away from the bandits.
