RE: LORD OF TIME

Chapter 146: Tear Of God (Part 4)

In the original timeline, the task related to Rosewood Town was accepted by a team of third-year students.

They accepted the task about twenty days from now. With their exceptional abilities, it wasn’t very difficult for a team of third-year students to take care of a group of Star Commander-level bandits.

The main problem the group had faced at that time was locating their hideout.

However, because one of their team members had a trait related to tracing, they were able to find the bandits’ hideout in the Black Hills.

The reason William knew so much about it, including even the approximate location of the hideout was because after the team eliminated the bandits, they found something in the core of their hideout.

A Rank One Astral Rift!

That’s right, there was an Astral Rift here, and it was also the reason these bandits had settled in this place.

Once the Rift was discovered, the group reported it to the academy.

The management of the academy immediately reacted and dispatched a team to collect this Astral Rift.

Using specialized arrays, the entrance point of an Astral Rift could be moved.

That was how all the Astral Rifts in the academy’s Rift Center came to be.

They had been brought back to the academy from different locations.

During the process of setting up an array to move the Rift, there were many miscellaneous things involved.

In order to take care of these miscellaneous matters, the academy would issue tasks to students so that they could handle those things.

William had accepted one such task at that time and had come to the Black Hills when the academy moved this Astral Rift in the original timeline.

This was also the reason he was aware of this task and the things related to it.

Of course, this time, William had no intention of giving this Astral Rift to the academy.

Although informing the academy about an Astral Rift would grant him a large number of credits at once, William had a different plan in mind.

Since he was going to create a faction, he needed a foundation where the core members of his faction could improve their strength and obtain resources.

And for now, this Rank One Rift was perfect for that.

As William landed on the ground, Jamul’s eyes narrowed, and he spoke in a serious voice.

"Your Excellency, isn’t it rude of you to charge into our home and act like this?"

William raised an eyebrow at Jamul’s words and smiled.

"I didn’t expect bandits who kill without batting an eye to talk about manners and morals to me."

Jamul showed a look of confusion at William’s words.

"Bandits?" He shook his head. "I think you have a misunderstanding, Your Excellency. We are just poor miners trying to make a living by digging in these mountains."

William was speechless when he saw Jamul’s innocent expression, so he didn’t even bother arguing with him and spoke in a flat voice.

"Yes, yes. You all are poor miners, and I am the evil of this world. Now make your move, or you will have the same end as those two."

Jamul choked on his words when he heard William’s response and looking in the direction William was pointing, his eyes narrowed as he saw the two headless bodies of the bandits who had died earlier.

"Boss, why are you talking with this brat? He is just at the Star Warrior level. Even if he is from the academy, can he really take down all of us?"

Goran, the early-stage Star Commander-level bandit spoke in a cold voice.

"Goran is right, Boss. We should take him down before he escapes into the sky again," Molar also added.

Jamul knew that Molar was right.

In fact, the reason he had been talking to William was because he was waiting for the other bandits to surround William from all sides and take him down at once.

As long as William was surrounded, even if he wanted to, he wouldn’t be able to escape with the help of his wings.

William, of course, noticed this, but he simply didn’t care because these normal and Star Warrior-level bandits didn’t pose much of a threat to his current self.

Seeing that they still weren’t making any move, William’s eyes gradually turned indifferent, and he spoke coldly.

"Since you don’t want to make the first move, let me do it."

As William spoke, his presence suddenly changed.

If before he had been emitting a bloody and murderous aura, now his presence seemed more ethereal, something that naturally attracted people’s attention toward him.

It was because William had stopped concealing the charm provided by his Progenitor’s Blood title.

For a moment, the eyes of most of the normal and Star Warrior-level bandits became dazed as they looked at him, feeling an urge to kneel before him.

William looked at the bandits, his eyes glowing with a blood-red light as a large amount of Mental Power swept out of his body.

"Kill the people standing around you."

Suddenly, a blood-red glow also flickered in the eyes of many bandits, and their expressions became murderous.

"Die, you bastard!" A normal bandit suddenly lifted his sword and stabbed an early-stage Star Warrior standing beside him.

Surprisingly, the injured bandit didn’t scream in pain or anything. Instead, his eyes also became bloodshot.

"I will kill you!"

He shouted and instantly beheaded the bandit.

Similar scenes occurred everywhere among the bandits as they began killing each other.

Although some bandits were still rational, they had no choice but to fight as well because the bandits around them were continuously attacking them.

Blood splashed everywhere as heads rolled across the ground.

William looked at the madness before him, and even he couldn’t help but feel his scalp tingle slightly at the power of the Heart Devourer ability.

Although he had used up almost eighty percent of his mental strength to affect so many people, the power of this ability was truly out of this world.

Jamul and the other two Star Commander-level bandits stared at their companions, who had suddenly started killing each other.

A chill rose from the soles of their feet all the way to their heads.

"Wh-what did you do?" Goran asked in a stuttering voice, taking a step back in fear.

William looked at the madness for a moment before turning his gaze toward the three leaders.

His eyes remained cold, and without answering their question—

Bang!

The ground beneath his feet exploded into bits.

Using Phantom Steps, his figure flickered and appeared right in front of Goran in an instant.

"If you survive this move, I will tell you."

His voice echoed amid the mad shouts of the fighting bandits, and before Jamul or the others could react—

Shockwave Fist!

BOOOOOOM!

A punch landed directly on Goran’s chest.

Crack!

The sound of bones cracking echoed through the area, and Goran was sent flying away, coughing up blood mixed with pieces of his internal organs in midair before crashing to the ground twenty meters away.

Bang!

His body rolled across the ground like a ragdoll before twitching for a moment and finally going completely still.
