Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1639: Wishing You a Happy Marriage
That night, Alice Turner was literally shoved out the door by Christopher Turner—and he was even considerate enough to push her straight into Thomas Fisher’s car.
Staring at her father, who was seriously drunk, Alice looked like she was on the verge of tears. Was this drunkard really her biological dad?
It was the first time she’d ever seen a father push his daughter out the door. Aren’t other dads all reluctant to let their daughters get married? What was up with her dad? It was like he was scared she wouldn’t get married off.
Sophia Wood really couldn’t bear to see her daughter leave, but what could she do? A grown girl can’t be kept at home.
The two of them had already gotten their Marriage Certificate; her daughter wasn’t just her daughter anymore—she was someone’s wife, someone’s daughter?in?law.
"In?laws! Goodbye!"
Christopher Turner was already drunk to the point of staggering. If Easton Holmes weren’t holding him up, he would have fallen flat on the ground long ago.
"Uncle! Auntie! Goodbye!"
Lily Turner bent down and waved at Thomas’s dad and mom in the car. Then she walked to the car behind, bent down to look at Alice Turner, who had been stuffed into the car by her dad, and at Thomas Fisher, whose face was full of joy. "Sis! Brother?in?law! Wishing you both a happy marriage!"
"Little sister?in?law..."
Thomas had just called out "little sister?in?law" when he suddenly felt a chilly gaze shoot toward him. He instinctively turned his head, only to see his big brother staring at him coldly.
He really was torn. The girl in front of him was originally his little sister?in?law—was he supposed to start calling her "sis?in?law" now?
When Lily noticed Thomas looking somewhere behind her, she curiously followed his gaze and turned around. Oh, he was looking at her husband. What about her husband? Was it weird for him to be supporting her father?
The moment Lily turned her head, Easton Holmes had already withdrawn the coldness from his eyes, replacing it with softness and indulgence. "Honey! Don’t hold up the bride and groom anymore. Hurry over and help me support Dad."
"Okay."
Lily answered, then turned and walked over to stand by her husband and her dad. Just as she reached out to help her drunk father, he blocked her hand.
"I can hold Dad up by myself. I just said that because I didn’t want you standing there playing the third wheel." Easton lied through his teeth without batting an eye, sounding perfectly calm, as if what he said were the absolute truth.
Lily trusted Easton completely and didn’t question his words at all. She just stood at his side, quietly waving to her sister in the car.
Sophia Wood glanced at her younger daughter and son?in?law, the corners of her lips lifting slightly. Then her gaze shifted to her older daughter and son?in?law in the car, and she waved at them, signaling them to head out.
The two cars drove out of the Turner Family compound one after the other, then disappeared down the road.
After Easton Holmes helped Christopher Turner back to his room, he also took his wife and kids and left.
The house that had been bustling just moments ago suddenly fell quiet, empty and still.
Looking at the empty house, Sophia Wood’s heart, however, felt full. Now that both her daughters had found a happy home, she was happier than anyone.
All she was waiting for now was for her son to graduate from military academy. She didn’t hope for him to become rich or powerful—she only wished for him to be healthy and happy.
As long as the whole family stayed healthy, happy, and harmonious, that was good enough.
Images of her children and those three little cuties flashed through Sophia’s mind over and over. Her face was lit with a joyful smile, a happiness that came straight from the bottom of her heart.
