Thomas Fisher initially thought Easton Holmes was joking with him, but when he saw Easton’s serious and earnest expression, Thomas realized his brother wasn’t joking or teasing him.

A bold idea suddenly popped into Thomas Fisher’s mind: to have Autumn York come out of retirement to help Alice Turner with her new company for free.

This idea was really bold; both his mom and his wife were such proud and strong-willed people. He couldn’t be sure either one would agree.

"It looks like your wife has already won over Aunt," Easton said.

"Hmm?"

Thomas Fisher was deep in thought when he suddenly heard Easton speak. He looked over at him in confusion.

As he looked over, he realized his brother was staring at the gate. Instinctively, he followed Easton’s gaze.

At the gate, Alice Turner walked in arm-in-arm with Autumn York. From a distance, they looked like a mother and daughter returning from a stroll, with no sign of being the not-so-harmonious mother-in-law and daughter-in-law they were.

"You don’t need to worry anymore; Aunt will soon accept your wife," Easton reassured Thomas, patting him on the shoulder and turning to return to the house. It was time for him to take his wife and kids home.

Thomas Fisher heard Easton’s words, but on the surface, he appeared indifferent, as if his mind was elsewhere, focused on Alice Turner and Autumn York.

"What are you doing standing out here? Are you afraid I might eat your wife?" Autumn York asked as she reached the gate, noticing Easton and Thomas standing at the entrance, seriously discussing something. She had a hunch their conversation involved her.

Thinking about them talking about a topic related to her, Autumn felt a bit displeased, and she shot a displeased glance at her son.

Upon hearing his mom’s words, Thomas Fisher immediately defended himself, "I wouldn’t! I was just..."

"Mom! Did you admit my wife Alice as your daughter-in-law?" mid-defense, Thomas suddenly realized what his mom was saying, excitedly moving closer to grab his mom’s other arm.

Autumn York hadn’t had a chance to respond when Alice Turner, standing beside her, confidently said, "I’m such a charming person, of course, Mom would accept me."

While she wasn’t sure if her mother-in-law truly accepted her in her heart, she was happy that on the surface, her mother-in-law seemed to have accepted her.

"Yes! Alice, you’re amazing!"

Thomas Fisher raised his other hand and gave Alice Turner a thumbs-up, genuinely impressed with her. After just a stroll with his mom, she had managed to win her over.

Seeing the two of them bragging and bantering beside her, Autumn York rolled her eyes in irritation, "You two, let go of me already; I’m tired of you."

After saying that, she struggled to free her arms from the two holding them, but they only tightened their grip in response.

"Mom! We’re not tired of you."

"Mom! We love you very much."

Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher spoke in unison, their words were different, but the sentiment they wanted to express was the same.
