Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1636: Teach Me Some Experience
From the phone call, Thomas Fisher didn’t detect any unusual situation, but he knows his mother well. She is always persistent in her endeavors and never gives up until her goals are achieved.
He also knows his wife, Alice, very well. The more challenging a problem is, the more interested she becomes, and she insists on tackling it, never giving up no matter what setbacks she encounters, until the problem is resolved.
With such two people together, how could he not be worried?
Thomas Fisher stared at the phone for quite a while before putting it away. He didn’t immediately return inside to continue drinking with his father and the others but leaned against the wall next to the door, staring blankly at the entrance gate.
“Frowning on the first day of getting the marriage certificate, this doesn’t look like the proper state for a groom.”
A teasing voice suddenly rang out beside him. Following the voice, Thomas Fisher instinctively turned his head to look over. At some point, Easton Holmes had come out from inside and was staring at him with a probing look on his face.
Still leaning against the wall, Thomas Fisher gave his big brother a bitter smile and said, “Sigh! I wish I could be happy too, but as you can see, my mom doesn’t like Alice.”
His mother couldn’t get over Alice being previously married. He didn’t care about this at all. What was his mother so concerned about?
Face, perhaps?
But how can that illusory face compare with his happiness? His answer is definitely negative—no, absolutely not!
“Don’t pay too much attention to other people’s opinions, just insist on following your own heart.” Easton Holmes understands Thomas Fisher’s feelings at this moment very well because, once, he encountered a similar situation.
Back then, the situation he encountered was much more complicated than his brother’s. His and Lily’s marriage not only faced opposition from his parents, but her mother was also strongly opposed.
Fortunately, through their efforts, they finally got both parents to accept them.
Thomas Fisher looked at his big brother for quite a while, suddenly recalling something. He straightened up quickly, “Big brother! Share some experience with me, how did you persuade Auntie to accept my sister-in-law?”
“I didn’t persuade my mom.”
Back then, Easton Holmes hadn’t even managed his own relationship with his parents well, so how could he have persuaded them to accept Lily Turner? From beginning to end, he never tried to persuade his parents to accept Lily Turner.
“Then how did Auntie finally accept my sister-in-law?” Thomas Fisher’s curiosity was strong, and he wouldn’t give up until he found out what he wanted to know.
Easton Holmes looked at Thomas Fisher as if he were an idiot, and finally replied helplessly, “My mom discovered my wife’s good qualities by herself.”
Only by discovering the goodness in someone themselves can they truly accept it from their heart; otherwise, relying on what others say will just be something they hear and forget.
“Then when do you think my mom will discover Alice’s good qualities?” Thomas Fisher still maintained a modest, inquisitive demeanor, entirely unfazed by his big brother’s attitude.
Easton Holmes, also very patient, seriously advised his good brother, “Let them interact more, and Auntie will naturally see how great your wife is.”
He felt that his good brother was overly worrying about nothing. His sister-in-law was not an ordinary person, having been active in the business world for many years, with a strong drive in her actions.
Although his good brother’s mother is seasoned, she’s ultimately older. It should be just a matter of time before his sister-in-law, who has her own experience, wins over her mother-in-law.
