Chapter 1542: Seeing You Makes My Stomach Hurt

  • Next Chapter

Worried that Thomas Fisher and Anthony would start bickering and cause trouble, Alice Turner directly pushed Thomas out of the room, telling him to check the situation outside, "Stop jibber-jabbering here, go quickly and see if there’s anyone suspicious in the hallway. Call me if there isn’t."

With that, she pushed him out of her room and immediately shut the door.

"Sis! Does this work?"

Anthony pointed at himself, surprised by his own appearance, thinking others probably wouldn’t recognize him.

He wasn’t afraid of being recognized by those people; he feared his dad finding out about him dressing as a girl, which would definitely earn him a beating.

His dad’s hands were heavy, so much so that he sometimes suspected he was just a gift thrown in for topping up the phone.

Alice pressed down Anthony’s hand, which was pointing at himself, and held it, "You look great like this, I almost didn’t recognize you just now, let alone those people."

He being a girl was something she discovered unintentionally.

At that time, he almost silenced her, but fortunately, her quick tongue and sincere attitude saved her from harm.

Because of that incident, miraculously, the two of them became close friends, talking about everything.

Even now she couldn’t understand it; when they first met he clearly disliked her, yet later he couldn’t seem to be without her.

She herself found it very hard to understand.

At that moment, the phone in Alice’s pocket rang, and her first thought was it was Thomas Fisher calling.

She took out the phone, and sure enough, it was the one who had just gone out to check the situation.

"Hey! How is it? Anything?" she asked, suppressing her voice.

"Nothing."

Even over the phone, Thomas Fisher felt Alice Turner’s cautiousness and was infected, deliberately lowering his own voice.

"I got it, wait for Jacob in the parking lot."

There would definitely be people monitoring at the hotel entrance, so Alice planned to have Anthony go directly to the underground parking to find Thomas Fisher, while she would openly walk out from the hotel entrance to draw their attention.

Thomas Fisher picked up on the implication that Alice wouldn’t be coming out together and asked displeased, "You’re not coming down with him?"

"More people, bigger target, I’ll wait here for you to come back." Alice said decisively, hanging up the phone regardless of his reluctance.

Anthony, however, didn’t believe Alice’s words at all, insisting on taking her along out of the hotel, "Sis! It’s dangerous here, come with me."

With that, he pulled her to head outside.

"Their target is you, not me. As long as I’m not with you, I’m safe." Alice pulled away Anthony’s hand clutching her, standing still.

Sis has a point; those people are indeed after him.

Having come to this realization, Anthony no longer insisted on dragging Alice out of the hotel, "Then be careful, I’ll have him come back early to keep you company."

"Okay."

Seeing Anthony not insist further, Alice breathed a long sigh of relief in her heart.

Afraid he would suddenly change his mind, she waved him away, signaling him to leave quickly, "Disappear from my sight, seeing you now is giving me a stomachache."

"Got it, I’ll disappear immediately."

Anthony strode towards the door and, as he left, he turned back once more to remind her to be careful.

He swiftly left her room before she could lose her temper.

After waiting about one or two minutes, Alice estimated Anthony had already taken the elevator downstairs, and she promptly left the room too.
