Chapter 828: Perfection
Chapter 828: Perfection
One thing Kent didn’t understand was the fact that people like Lady Enzi hadn’t ascended to a higher world yet.
From what he saw over the past few days, there were many elders in the sect, all of whom were qualified to become big shots in the high worlds.
Someone like Lady Enzi had the means to become a terrifying cultivator in a High world, yet she was still in a medium world doing god knows what.
That just didn’t make sense to Kent, so he sought answers.
Of course, Kent also knew that not everything had to make sense and that everything had a reason. No matter how unreasonable something is, it has its reason.
One of the said reasons was about to be addressed by Lady Enzi, who never expected Kent to ask such a question.
She stared at Kent for a whole minute before answering.
“Do you know high worlds are not all equal? Just like this medium world, where we have some worlds with overpowered cultivators and rich resources, the high worlds are the same.
Of course, you can choose any to ascend to, but as a cultivator, one can only aim for a world filled with resources. Ultimately, it’s all about resources.
Even this sect has a connection to 14 high worlds, with one housing monstrous talents, the kind that you can start to comprehend. We have sent thousands away already.
However, we aren’t rushing to ascend because before we do, we want to attain some level of perfection, at least one that would allow us to have a chance to one day become big shots in the high worlds.”
Kent was a little taken aback by such an explanation.
‘That is just bullshit. Someone like you is clearly ready to take the high world by storm, why wait for perfection again?’ Kent said inwardly, not understanding anything.
“That just doesn’t make sense to me. Someone with your strength has a big shot at making it big in the high world. Though I don’t know much about high worlds, I know enough to know you are worthy to join them.
So why then wait to become more perfect before ascending?”
Lady Enzi smiled.
This, for a moment, distracted Kent, making him wonder if she was only smiling for him or if she did so on a regular basis.
So far, she had smiled more than five times since he had known her, and that wasn’t like someone with her looks and strength.
“The only reason you are saying that is because in this medium world, you think I am strong enough. However, in the High Worlds, if I want to grow stronger and swim in the pool of geniuses, I need to be five times the person I am now.”
Kent raised his brow.
“Right now, we have connections to high worlds, but all of them except one are graded low. From what we know, the strength of a high world comes in four stages.
The first is low, where although they are strong, the chances of meeting more than three Spirit Lords in the entire world are next to none.
They are high worlds, alright, but the weakest of them all.”
‘Fedora falls in this category. They only have two Spirit Lords. However, they aren’t weak either, just one person from there can take over Sonox overnight.’
Kent immediately formed his own conclusion from what he had heard, and it all started to make sense in a way.
The question he asked started to gain an answer, one he hadn’t fully heard but knew was the case: why someone like Lady Enzi would remain in a medium world.
“The second category is a ‘Legacy’ High World. Of course, we choose to give them these grades based on the power level. But these High worlds have more than a hundred Spirit Lords, millions of Spirit Sovereigns, and billions of Spirit Kings.
The last time I met someone from those worlds, I lost miserably.
As for the third, which is known as the Great High Worlds, there are hundreds of thousands of Spirit Lords and even dozens of cultivators at the Heavenly Ascension stage.
As for the Supreme High Worlds, you can only imagine.
I want to ascend to a Legacy or Great High World.
From what I know, it isn’t only hard to get into a Legacy High World from a low one, but it is extremely dangerous even to attempt going there when one’s strength doesn’t speak for them
If possible, I also want to have a chance to survive in a Great High World before ascending. You may not know, but newly ascended cultivators are picked on and ridiculed to the point that most unfortunate ones become slaves forever.”
“I guess when you put it that way, things do come into perspective. However, I have to ask, how would you know you are qualified to get to this High world or that High world?” Kent asked.
“It is simple. To know you qualify to get to a Low High world, you must score a 50% success rate inside the Perfect Chamber.
Of course, it is not a requirement, but since getting to a high world is expensive, one had to be ready not to lose their lives the moment they ascend.”
Kent raised his brow. “What is a Perfect Chamber?”
Lady Enzi smiled. “We have a divine treasure that measures one’s perfection level by allowing them to fight perfect versions of themselves.
You will face the version of you that is regarded as perfect by the standards of medium worlds. In other words, you will have to fight yourself, which has no flaws, weaknesses, or defects.
Only when you manage to defeat yourself can you know you have successfully reached the limit of this world.
And before you ask me, no, I am yet to reach the level worthy of a Legacy High world. My score 200 years ago is still less than 70%.
And on the record, 50% takes you to a Low High world, 70% to a Legacy High world, 90% to a Great High World, and lastly, 100% to a Supreme High World.”
‘Interesting. Fedora is clearly a Low High World, and Pyris, the world I went to using the pill world, is a Legacy High world.
But if they already have cultivators that can threaten my life, then what does that say for the Great and Supreme High worlds?’
Lady Enzi read Kent’s expression and smiled, “I know what you are thinking, and the answer is yes, you may be a genius here, but unless you become the perfect version of yourself here, you can’t compare to those in the High worlds.”
⟦Okay, I think I have forgiven her for using sneaky means to pull master into 100 duels. Now, I think I like what she is selling.⟧
‘You like what she is selling. Why?’
⟦Because the next major part of the master’s training was to create a perfect version of you. However, it seems I wouldn’t have to worry about that now since the master will be going through it soon enough.⟧
‘I see. In any case, when Gaia wakes up, I will let her build a Perfect Chamber for me so I can use it more actively since this is a sect and getting access to such a treasure might be expensive and time-consuming.’
⟦I will let the master know when she wakes up.⟧
‘Thank you.’
Kent didn’t want to jinx it, but learning something new and finally making sense of why the High worlds had seemed different in a way.
He sensed it. Fedora was a weak High World, and Pyris had beings that could kill him. Now, he knew there were two more, not forgetting, unique worlds where the danger would be next to unimaginable.
‘I have a lot to do before ascending’
He looked at Lady Enzi, “I suppose you called me here for a reason.”
