Chapter 829 - 100 vs 1 (1) [Bonus]

Chapter 829: 100 vs 1 (1) [Bonus]

“How confident are you of winning all 100 battles you will be fighting?” Lady Enzi asked, and Kent smiled.

“Let’s just say even if all 100 of them team up, I can end them in under ten seconds.”

Lady Enzi raised her brow, hearing Kent’s bold words. He sounded arrogant, but he is confident in his abilities.

“You do know the sect is no place for the weak, right? Most of the disciples you will be fighting are all battle-hardened warriors who have been on many dangerous missions.

They are in no way weaker than you are.”

“I know, Lady Enzi, but I am not underestimating anyone; I am just confident in myself.” There were no comments from Lady Enzi for a few minutes before she stood up and extended her hand.

A badge appeared in her hand. “This is an access badge to the Perfect Chamber. After the battle, take it with you to the Inner Sect. Use it as early as possible.”

Kent nodded. “Does this mean you think I will win all battles?”

“I don’t, but I would be happy if you manage to pull through.” She waved her hand, and the glass before them cracked open.

Before Kent could admire it, his body moved, and soon he was outside, hovering beside Lady Enzi as they slowly descended onto the stage where the battle would be happening.

The moment they appeared, everyone quieted down.

Kent saw the 100 disciples who would be fighting him standing not far from the stage. Some were staring at him with calm expressions, while others looked at him with eyes full of competitiveness.

Kent ignored them all and focused on the match that was about to start.

“Listen up,” Lady Enzi said, getting right to business. She had no plans to waste too much time on the battle she knew would be over before she knew it.

“If all things go according to plan, the battles will be over in under an hour, considering each of you just needs to last 5 seconds on the stage.

Of course, if you manage to last for more than 5 seconds against him, I will give you a million Supreme Points like I promised, so all of you should do well to at least last 5 seconds.”

With that, she flew off the stage, leaving only Kent, who counted his footsteps and found the position he would be standing at.

He did promise that the one who would be able to make him move would be allowed to name a pill, and he would make it for them. So he found a place, and he stood, ready to remain there until the last person fell.

“The rules are simple. Since this is a seconds-type duel, we choose this arena where death, no matter how grim, is temporary. This means you shouldn’t fear death, at least this one’s.

But that also means you are free to go for the kill if you have the chance. On that note, the first person should get on the stage.”

A slim, dark elf wielding two daggers was the first to get on the stage. Perhaps hoping to scare Kent, he used his speed to appear on the stage in under a second.

“You overestimate yourself, human, and that is why you will fall to my blade today,” the dark elf said, and Kent shook his head.

“I don’t know about you, but I can already see how you die,” Kent smirked and then looked at the dark elf from head to toe. “I can see you stabbing yourself through the heart.”

The dark elf didn’t say anything but readied himself for a good fight. Everyone watching fell quiet and waited for the battle to begin.

They wanted to see what kind of person Kent was to have the spine to challenge both the inner and outer sect.

After a few tense moments, Lady Enzi spoke.

“Begin.”

*SHING*

The dark elf threw one of his daggers, aiming for Kent’s chest, the moment the command was given. The strength behind the throw was so much that it arrived before Kent the next moment.

However, instead of stabbing Kent, the dagger stopped mid-air, caught between Kent’s fingers.

‘One second.’

The dark elf didn’t bother with the defeat of his dagger throw.

Instead, he moved and aimed to close the gap, using sheer force to knock Kent back at least. However, when he was 2 meters from Kent, he heard a command, and he couldn’t stop himself from obeying the command

“STOP!” Kent commanded, and he did.

*2 seconds*

“Stab yourself through the heart.”

There was no hesitation as the dark elf stabbed himself through the heart. On the third second, his body reassembled on the outside.

Silence enveloped everyone.

They all remained rooted, unsure of what they had just seen.

In one second, a dagger was through; in the second, a command was given; and in the third, the opponent was dead.

Nothing felt real, yet there they were, staring at what had happened as it was presented. Kent commanded his opponent to kill himself, and he did.

“This… is my eyes deceiving me, or did he just command Rizzen to stab himself, and he obeyed?”

“No need to doubt your eyes, I saw the same thing.”

“Damn, is that even legal?”

Murmurs spread, and everyone started coming up with their own theories. They could not wrap their minds around what they’d just seen.

Rizzen stood outside the stage with a confused expression. He didn’t know why he did what he did. However, he knew when Kent asked him to stab himself, without any hesitation, he obeyed.

‘What the hell just happened to me?’

Lady Enzi raised her brow and called the next person.

This time, a dragon climbed the stage in his demi-dragon form, featuring his wings, tail, and horns, with dragon scales all over his body.

Kent looked at him and smiled. “Let me guess, you plan on taking to the skies and using delay tactics to wait out the five seconds.”

As if reading his mind, Kent was spot on; the guy wanted to delay the time so that when Lady Enzi gave the command, he was already in the air, not daring to come near Kent so he could play with his mind like he did with the Dark Elf.

However, Kent just smiled and snapped his fingers.

“Giant fireballs.” Up in the air, dozens of large fireballs appeared, filling the stage with intense heat. The dragon dude was immediately consumed by the fire, incinerating his form in under 3 seconds.

He also resembled, on the outside, a feeling of a chill running down their spine. The fireballs deactivated the next second, bursting into fireworks as if celebrating his win.

This time, Lady Enzi widened her eyes.

‘That was a divine grade flame art, and to think he was able to activate it with a snap of his finger. Just how strong is his soul?’

Kent remained in the same spot he had chosen to stand, looking smugly at the two defeated disciples standing in stunned silence, unsure of how any of this was possible.

The dragon dude expected his body to at least withstand the fire for a few seconds, but before he could even feel anything, his body was consumed, and then he appeared outside the stage.

Nothing felt real.

However, that only worsened as more disciples began appearing on the stage. It was just five seconds, as most would say, but that was enough for Kent to show them what true strength looks like.
