Chapter 1138: Gratitude
Chapter 1138: Gratitude
By the time Kent and Lady Enyo arrived on the outside, Vexthra, Princess Lovina, Adina, Priestess Runa, and Lyna were already making sure every last Elf was ready to migrate into the tower in five hours’ time.
Five hours will be a long time for Gaia and her sisters to build the new city for the Elves, so they are working around the clock to get them ready.
They will be the biggest race in the tower yet.
The humans were only 121, while the Bloodveins were less than a million.
However, there are 6 million Elves getting ready to migrate, and every last one of them is a cultivator. So naturally, they will be adding more to Kent’s strength than the humans and Bloodveins have contributed so far.
However, he wasn’t about to give them priority over everyone, since this was merely him ensuring his mom’s people were safe and sound.
Of course, calling them her people is ridiculous, considering she is merely using the identity of Lady Enyo, the once-brave protector of the Galen Elven Race.
She explained that when Paragon saved her, the Lady Enyo, who was the kingdom protector of the Galen Elven Race, had just died from an injury she sustained in a battle with an external force.
Nobody knew she was injured, and so Paragon gave her that body and identity, since the only thing different about them was that Kent’s mom was an immortal, and the real Lady Enyo was merely a Heavenly Ascension stage warrior.
The two of them are carbon copies of each other, so Paragon helped her inherit the real Lady Enyo’s memories just so she could take her life and wear it like her own.
That was how she became the new guardian and had been protecting the Elves all this time.
Of course, things are very different now since she gets to live with her son in a safe place. She can choose to reclaim her true identity.
However, when Kent suggested this, she said no, citing that she wanted to remain Lady Enyo.
This means she wants to keep protecting them—not that they will need any more protection, considering where they are going.
However, she decided to continue as Lady Enyo for now.
“Ladies,” Kent said when he and his mom approached his wives and the new friends they had made.
Vexthra smiled and came to hug him.
Princess Lovina, Adina, Priestess Runa, and Lyna were supposed to be exploring the city; however, they decided to go help Vexthra a couple of minutes into their exploration.
They will have more than enough time to do that later.
They stood behind Vexthra with happy smiles.
After the hug, Kent pulled back and turned to his mom.
“Mom, this is Vexthra. She is my first wife and the one responsible for me getting a second chance at life.”
Lady Enyo raised her brow and smiled. “Thank you, Vexthra. I am Lady Enyo.”
Vexthra smiled. “No need to thank me, Mother. Kent is an amazing person. Had it not been for him, I would not know what love and happiness are. So if anything, I should be the one thanking you for gifting the universe such an amazing soul.”
Lady Enyo smiled happily. She let go of Kent’s hand and took Vexthra’s. Talk about betrayals on a certain level.
Kent just smirked and turned to his Poison Princess. “This is Princess Lovina, the one who saved you from that poison arrow.”
Lady Enyo grabbed her hand too, and soon, she started having hushed conversations with them, leaving Kent to stand there on his own.
Seeing she had intentionally done that, maybe as payback for choosing Elaine’s mom’s cooking over hers, Kent just ignored the three of them and turned to Adina.
“How has it been, Adina? I can see you have become more beautiful and comfortable in your own body.”
Adina smiled.
She had disguised herself back when she and Kent met in the Valley of Torture, so seeing her in her full-on succubus form meant she had finally gotten comfortable and wanted to be who she is instead of hiding herself.
“I took your advice and decided to live life. I suppose becoming who I really am while living is the path without regret.”
“That is true. I, for one, had my fair share of dilemmas before ascending; however, a certain beautiful goddess told me hiding is not the way forward. You have to embrace who you are and fight to create your own path.”
Kent gave Vexthra a sidelong glance before turning back to Adina. “So you becoming your true self is the right path. And now that I am here, I will help you grow much stronger so that roaming the universe will become something much simpler for you.
That Supreme can only wash her neck and wait for my sword.”
Adina nodded with a small smile. Kent promised her when they were parting ways back in the valley of torture that he would help her kill the Succubus Supreme.
Hearing him speak now, she knew he still stood by his words.
She had calmed down a bit, so she was now feeling shy to hug Kent.
“That goes to you two also. You have protected both my mom and Adina. In my book, that is a debt that paying back will take thousands of years.”
Priestess Runa and Lyna smiled.
To Priestess Runa, meeting the person the entire universe is looking for is all she could ask for. However, Lyna, who is a dragon, felt like she had just met her ancestor.
The dragons see the Primordial Chaos Dragon as their true ancestor. So to her, Kent is the legend who rose above all and stood at the pinnacle of power back during the Primordial Era.
“Are you really the Chaos Dragon?” Lyna asked, wanting to hear from Kent’s own mouth.
He smiled and changed his eye color from purple to reddish gold. The moment that happened, Lyna felt her bloodline getting suppressed.
Naturally, as an immortal, she knew that when someone with a more powerful bloodline unleashes their power, the weaker one would get suppressed very easily.
Now, she, who possesses a divine bloodline, seemed to have started getting suppressed from a mere eye color change.
Lyna went down on her knees and bowed to Kent. “This weak one pays her respect to the Primordial Chaos Dragon.”
Kent smiled and shook his head. “No need to be overly dramatic about it, Lyna. I am not fully the Chaos Dragon yet, so seeing me as a big shot is a little over the nose.”
He helped her to her feet and added a few words of encouragement. “You have saved my family and protected everyone, so in my eyes, you are very important.
And since you and Agni are related, you are now a part of my family.”
Lyna nodded with a small blush. She was very happy, in fact.
Becoming a member of the Chaos Dragon family is more than anything she could ever be given. Kent is a legend in her eyes, and now she will get to watch him rise to the peak like he was back then.
Kent turned to Priestess Runa next and thanked her as well for saving Adina and his mother’s lives.
She was still wrapping her mind around the fact that Kent is Lady Enyo’s son.
The Lady Enyo that she knew had no husband and no secret child. In fact, she was a maiden, and that was why she allowed her to live in the Elven garden in the first place.
So how come she now has a son, and her son is Kent Madson, the most wanted brat in the entire universe?
She couldn’t wrap her mind around that. However, she knew the air would be cleared soon.
Four hours later, Gaia informed Kent that they had finished building the Elven City.
