Chapter 1089: Going To The Competition
Chapter 1089: Going To The Competition
Kent plans to sleep for a while. However, his wives came for him faster than he had hoped…
He forgot that his wives can use the tower portals to enter the sect, and then from there, they can just use a teleportation gate to reach Planet Celestial Gate.
The only time they wasted was when they stayed a few days inside the tower to heal before going.
Of course, staying 5 days inside the tower is just 5 hours out there, so they reached Planet Celestial Gate long before the competition even started.
There are still a couple of hours before it starts, but as someone who would be participating in the preliminaries, Kent was supposed to be ready a few hours earlier.
Thankfully, he had time to prepare.
Celestial Gate is a majestic planet. It is far more beautiful than Planet Sonox and a few other planets Kent had been to.
Of course, he had been to many high worlds and had seen better, but for a medium world, this new planet is very beautiful.
It has towering buildings and plants that aren’t white or green either. It is a blend between the two, and well, they look more artificial than natural.
Kent even saw that some of the buildings are carved from beautiful stones that aren’t quite jade nor real stones either.
Naturally, Kent was fascinated, but he wasn’t quite interested in exploring this world, considering he had more important things to do when he was done with this competition.
As for the people who live in this world, they have pale white skin, and a few folks have golden skin. Kent was yet again taken aback by these strange looks, but he soon saw something that caught his interest.
The world around him is beautiful, the people living in it are beautiful, but there are no beasts. Not even a bird could be seen in sight. This made Kent wonder just where all of them had gone.
He used his soul map to scan the planet, but found it was much larger than his 80,000 km of coverage could handle. He chose to let this mystery slide for now.
However, he saw the thousands of disciples coming for the competition.
There are 54 participating sects, so thousands of disciples are expected to attend.
“This is just bullying. The level of opponents that I fight, these poor souls will be crushed by just staring at them,” Kent said, walking beside Lady Enzi and Liora as they headed to the location where they would register him as a participant in the competition.
The two ladies smiled, knowing it was indeed bullying. However, this is a competition, and Kent is a disciple…
“Just see it as relaxation after a very chaotic battle,” Lady Liora said with a small smile.
“What should be relaxing is me sleeping, surrounded by naked jade beauties, feeding me berries and apples.”
The two ladies couldn’t help but smile at hearing Kent’s words. Knowing the kind of life he lives, they knew his relaxation plan was indeed on point.
However, he made a promise, so he must fulfill it.
“It will be over in a few days, then you can go back to the relaxation of your dreams,” Lady Enzi said, and Kent couldn’t help nodding to that.
There is no telling what would happen during the competition, but they knew Kent was no simple person, so he would be fine.
As they entered a mansion and moved through the corridor, and were about to branch to a different hall, a demi-tiger with two aquatic beasts blocked their path.
Kent saw them long before they met, so he knew they were no good news. However, he decided to see how things played out, even though he could have used his soul universe to deal with them without even Lady Enzi and Liora noticing.
“Well, well, if it isn’t the glass lady and the silent one,” the tiger man said, a mocking smile on his face. The two aquatic beasts, a seahorse and an anglerfish, smirked, looking at Kent.
They knew better than to disrespect the elders of a sect, so they directed their mockery today at the non-chant Kent.
“Ravenos, we have no time to entertain your childishness, so move out of the way and let us pass. Your Primal Beast Sect can face us in a fair battle if you have a problem,” Lady Enzi said, looking to move.
However, Ravenos, one of the elders of the second-rank sect in the Celestial Ascendence Planetary Alliance, blocked their path.
“Why the rush, Enzi? At least introduce me to this kid. For two great beauties to be escorting a nobody, I am intrigued by what his identity is.”
The two ladies gritted their teeth, knowing these bastards always had issues with the Supreme Immortal Sect.
Also, they could tell he was intentionally provoking them. Naturally, the two ladies didn’t want to have an issue with him—not that they were afraid—but as a way to ensure whatever scheme he had in mind wouldn’t succeed.
Kent can see they didn’t want to play with this bastard, so he decided to get this farce over with.
“My name is Kent Madson. I am responsible for the death of his father, her mother, and all of the Ancient Sea Race. And yet, the remaining ones are now servants of the who of Planet Sonox.
So if you have a problem, face me in the arena and stop this nonsense. Of course, I don’t mind turning the entire Primal Beast sect into servants of my sect.”
Without even showing any respect, Kent used his hand to push Elder Ravenos aside, and then, without even minding them, he moved, and the two ladies followed.
After they were gone, the elder and the two disciples gritted their teeth, feeling a surge of anger bubble in their hearts.
They were aware of what happened to the Ancient Sea Race. After they colluded with the vampires to attack Sonox, Kent made Alina bind their fate to Planet Sonox. Whenever it was under attack, they would be forced to defend it.
In a way, after killing many innocents, they were now going to be the ones to die when there was an attack again. It was a fate worse than death.
So, finally meeting the one responsible for turning their once vibrant race into mere meat shields, they all became extremely angry.
The Primal Beast Sect’s best disciples came from that race, so the entire sect was angry and wanted blood. But now they would direct their attention to the one responsible, which, in this case, is Kent.
“Relax, he is already marked for death,” Elder Ravenos said, his expression dark as he led his two disciples away.
Kent smirked, hearing what he said. ’Breaking a few bones and making them regret their life choices will be enough to instill some fear into their hearts.’
Kent smiled, realizing that perhaps this competition wouldn’t be too boring after all.
Soon, they reached the registration area. After Kent registered, they met the other disciples who would be participating in the competition.
The seeded candidates were the Pill Princess, Ice Maiden, the One-Eyed Demon Spawn, the Venom King, and the Crystal Dragon.
After seeing what Kent was capable of during the Apocalypse battle, all five of them became obedient, especially Vanna, the Pill Princess, who was now more docile than a dolphin.
Aside from them, Kent’s little sis, whom he met in the sect, Nyss, would also be participating. Even Princess Elowen, Lady Enzi’s disciple, would also participate.
The next day, the competition officially began…
