Chapter 353: Chapter 351: Charizard Level up 100
The last echoes of Charizard’s victory roar still rolled across the Charicific Valley when a familiar blue window bloomed in Ash’s vision.

Ash’s lips curved into a quiet smile. The rewards were everything the system had promised and more. Before he could even reach out to accept them, a second notification overlaid the first.

Mission objective – Defeated Charicific Valley King: ✅
Ash’s smile widened. One piece of the greater path was already complete. He accepted the rewards of the finished mission without hesitation.
The moment the confirmation settled, soft golden light wrapped around Charizard’s battered body. Cuts sealed. Scorch marks faded. Bruises vanished as though they had never existed. At the same time a deeper, richer Aura began to pour from within him, rising in visible waves of crimson and white. His level climbed in a smooth, unstoppable surge ninety-one... ninety-four... ninety-seven... until the final threshold broke.
Level 100.
Charizard threw his head back and released a roar of pure, unrestrained joy. The sound shook dust from the highest cliffs. Every Charizard still conscious in the valley lowered its head in automatic, respectful submission.
The new king had not only claimed the throne by battle; he had now stepped fully into the power that throne demanded.
A second change bloomed inside him. The mutated Holy Blaze that had carried him through a hundred fights flared brighter, then settled into something denser, more refined. The new ability Fire Dragon sank into his very core, promising that every future clash against Fire, Flying, or Dragon-types would burn hotter and hit harder.
At the same instant Ash felt something shift between them.
Their Auras, already close after years of shared battles, suddenly locked into perfect resonance. A vivid image formed in Ash’s mind: two streams of energy one gold-tinged with the calm strength of an Aura Guardian, the other a living river of white-cored fire twining together until they became a single, unbroken braid. The bond was no longer simply deep. It was tangible.
He could feel Charizard’s heartbeat, the residual heat of battle, the fierce pride of a Pokémon who had finally stood at the peak of his own kind. Charizard, in turn, could feel Ash’s quiet satisfaction and the absolute trust that had never once wavered.
Ash nodded slowly, thrilled. With a bond this clear, Bond Evolution would no longer be a distant possibility. It would be a weapon they could call upon when the time was right.
The girls reached them a moment later, faces bright with pride and leftover adrenaline.
Misty threw both arms in the air. " wonderful match dear! Charizard was looked like an one man army!"
Daisy laughed, eyes sparkling. "I still can’t believe we watched the entire thing. Grandpa and gary are going to lose his mind when he hears."
Erika’s soft voice carried genuine warmth. "That final Inferno... it was beautiful."
Melody bounced on her toes. "Wow this kind of intensity! I’m seeing this after shamouti island were your legendary birds battled!"
Giselle stepped close and rested a hand lightly on Ash’s arm, her usual calm laced with quiet pride. "Master... Charizard... you both kept every promise."
Sabrina’s faint smile held the rare glow of true approval. "Aura synchronization at this level is exceptional. The valley will remember this day for generations."
Pikachu scrambled up onto Charizard’s shoulder with a triumphant "Pika-pika!" while Eevee leapt into Ash’s arms, nuzzling under his chin with happy little "Vee!" sounds.
Liza approached last.
She moved more slowly than the others, cheeks already tinted pink, eyes struggling to meet Ash’s for more than a second at a time. When she finally spoke, her voice was softer than any of them had heard from her before.
"Congratulations... Ash. And you too, Charizard. The valley... has never seen anything like what you did today. You truly are its king now."
Ash glanced at the favorability meter that quietly appeared in the corner of his vision.
Liza – Favorability: 75 (Deep Crush)
He almost blinked. They had spoken only a handful of times. Yet the intensity of the battles, the calm way he commanded, the unshakable bond he shared with Charizard, and the quiet confidence he carried had apparently been enough to plant something deep and unexpected in the caretaker’s heart. His wives caught the look on his face and immediately exchanged knowing, teasing smiles. Misty raised an eyebrow. Daisy bit her lip to keep from laughing.
Melody gave a tiny thumbs-up behind Liza’s back. Ericka’s eyes sparkled with quiet amusement. Giselle had satisfied smirk on her face.Sabrina simply tilted her head, the corner of her mouth curving.
Pikachu and Eevee, sensing the shift in mood, hopped down and joined the girls, clearly choosing the side of gentle mischief.
Ash shook his head with a small, helpless smile and turned back to Liza.
"Now that Charizard is king," he said, "I’m going to leave him here with you for a while."
Liza’s head snapped up, eyes wide. "What? But... you won. Why would you leave him?"
"Because this valley holds techniques and instincts no trainer can teach," Ash answered simply.
"Charizard is strong, but strength without mastery of every possible move and special skill would be incomplete. A few months here under your care and the guidance of the valley’s veterans should be enough. We’ll stay in contact the entire time." He held out a Pokégear. "May I have your number?"
Liza’s face went from pink to bright red. She stammered, fingers fumbling as she typed the digits, then thrust the device back as though it might burn her. The harem girls dissolved into soft giggles at the display. Liza looked ready to sink into the stone.
Ash continued, voice gentle. "We still have a journey to finish. Giselle and I have a gym battle waiting in Azalea Town. After that... well, the road keeps going."
The mention of leaving caused Liza’s expression to dip, just for a moment. Ash noticed. He stepped closer, rested a warm hand lightly on top of her head, and leaned in until his lips were near her ear.
"I’ll stay in touch," he murmured, then pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. "That’s a promise."
Liza’s entire face flamed. She stood frozen, eyes wide, as Ash turned to Charizard.
"Learn everything this valley can teach you," he instructed. "Every special technique, every advanced application of fire and flight. When you’re ready, return to Pallet Town. Cynthia’s Garchomp will be waiting for you and also ready to spar with her and others ok, and she doesn’t go easy." Charizard gave a sharp, determined nod and a crisp salute with one wing.
Ash smiled. "And when you come back, we’ll start practicing the Bond Evolution form properly. I want us both ready."
Charizard’s eyes burned with fresh resolve.
The group exchanged final goodbyes.
Promises of contact were repeated. Liza, still flushed, suddenly squared her shoulders.
She stepped forward before courage could desert her, rose onto her toes, and pressed a quick, determined kiss directly to Ash’s lips. When she pulled back her eyes were bright and steady.
"I hope... you’ll take me on a proper date someday," she said, a small smile finally breaking through the shyness.
The other girls beamed. Misty and Daisy both gave her enthusiastic thumbs-up. Melody clapped quietly. Erika offered a warm, approving nod. Giselle’s smile was soft and welcoming. Sabrina simply inclined her head, the message clear: the newest addition had just taken her first real step.
Ash returned the smile without hesitation.
"It’s a promise."
With that, the group turned toward the path that would lead them out of the valley and onward to Azalea Town.
Charizard remained behind, already surrounded by the respectful presence of the valley’s Charizard, ready to begin the next stage of his growth. High on a nearby ridge, Liza watched them go, one hand still resting against the place where Ash’s lips had brushed her forehead, the other clutching the Pokégear that now held his number.
Behind her, the new king of the Charicific Valley released one last quiet roar half farewell, half vow before turning to the ancient training grounds that would forge him even further.
And Ash, walking at the center of his growing circle of partners, carried with him both the satisfaction of a mission completed and the quiet certainty that another energetic, flame-hearted trainer had just found her place in the ever-expanding family that traveled at his side.
