Chapter 352: Chapter 350: Mega Charizard X vs 100 Charizards – Part 4 finale

The azure flame around Mega Charizard X roared higher as the next wave of twenty elite Charizard plunged from the sky. Their coordinated assault was no longer the wild, individual charges of earlier rounds these were the valley’s true veterans, scarred from years of daily combat, moving with practiced pack tactics.

Flamethrowers crossed in a deadly lattice, Dragon Rushes slammed in from three angles, and Aerial Aces cut low across the stone to limit escape routes.

Ash’s eyes remained calm. The Universal Key Stone still glowed against his chest, feeding the unbreakable bond.

"Dragon Dance once. Then clear the air."

Mega Charizard X’s black body pulsed with rising power. Speed and strength surged again. In the next heartbeat he vanished upward, azure flame trailing like a comet.

"Flame Vortex!"

A spiraling tornado of blue-white fire erupted from his jaws, expanding outward in a widening cone that swallowed six of the airborne attackers at once.

The Charcoal’s 50 % boost turned the already intensified Holy Blaze into a furnace that melted resistance. Scales blackened.

Wings crumpled. Six Charizard plummeted, smoking and defeated before they could even cry out.

The remaining fourteen closed ranks on the ground, trying to force a melee.

"Flare Blitz through the center then Seismic Toss on the heaviest!"

Mega Charizard X became a living meteor of blue fire and black scales. He smashed straight through the front line, the recoil of Flare Blitz only feeding his momentum.

One massive opponent was seized mid-charge, hauled into the sky in a single powerful beat of those enlarged wings, and slammed back down with a Seismic Toss that cracked the ancient arena floor like brittle glass. The impact alone knocked two more off their feet.

"Dragon Claw left and right. Inferno on the cluster!"

Twin arcs of pure draconic energy carved through the recovering pair. Before the rest could regroup, Mega Charizard X exhaled a concentrated Inferno that locked three more inside a cage of inescapable blue flame.

They thrashed, roared, then collapsed as the fire refused to release them.

Fourteen more down. Twenty-six of the fifty still stood, but the gap in power had become a chasm.

High on the ridge the king watched in grim silence, crimson flame flickering hotter.

Below, Liza’s hand had risen to her mouth.

Charla’s eyes never left the black-scaled form that moved with such terrifying precision.

Misty’s voice rang out over the chaos. "He’s not even slowing down!"

Daisy laughed in pure exhilaration. "That’s Charizardite X for you!"

Erika’s soft tone carried awe. "Every movement is perfect..."

Melody bounced on her toes. "Keep going, you two!"

Giselle’s gaze stayed locked on Ash. "Master’s Aura is still steady. They have more."

Sabrina’s eyes glowed faintly. "The remaining ones are already breaking."

Ash never looked away from the battlefield.

"Heat Wave wide. Then Outrage."

A scorching dome of pure heat exploded outward, forcing the next group of twelve to break formation. In the opening Mega Charizard X’s eyes flared with the wild power of Outrage. He became a black-and-blue storm, claws and fangs and azure flame tearing through every opponent that tried to close distance. One after another they fell.

some from precise Dragon Claws that shattered defenses, some from point-blank Flamethrowers timed to the exact moment their wings opened, some from brutal Fire Punches enhanced by the Charcoal’s boost until the impacts sounded like thunderclaps.

Twelve more crashed to the stone. Only fourteen of the original fifty remained, plus the towering king who still had not moved.

The survivors tried one last desperate coordinated rush four from the air, five from the flanks, five straight ahead. Their combined roars shook the cliffs.

Ash’s voice cut through the noise like a blade.

"Steel Wing upward. Thunder Punch and Ice Punch on the flanks. Blast Burn beneath the center group. Finish with Flame Vortex."

Mega Charizard X’s wings hardened into gleaming blue-edged blades and cleaved two aerial attackers from the sky in a single upward sweep.

Golden lightning and freezing ice erupted from his fists in perfect opposition, dropping the flanking five before they could land a single claw.

The ground itself detonated as Blast Burn swallowed the central five in a column of white-hot destruction.

The final two, still airborne and reeling, were caught inside a second, tighter Flame Vortex that spun them helplessly until they blacked out and fell.

Silence.

Forty-nine of the fifty elite challengers lay scattered across the scarred valley floor.

Smoke drifted in lazy spirals. The azure flame around Mega Charizard X still burned steady and proud, his chest rising and falling in controlled rhythm.

The white-cored Holy Blaze of his base form had been completely transcended; the Mega X aura pressed against every living thing in the valley like a second gravity.

Pikachu thrust both paws into the air. "Pika-pii!"

Eevee’s joyful cry echoed off the cliffs. "Vee-vee!"

The girls’ cheers exploded.

Misty cupped her hands. "Ninety-nine Charizard down! One left!"

Daisy’s grin was fierce. "The king’s next!"

Erika’s eyes shone with quiet pride.

"Unbelievable control..."

Melody spun in place. "He’s incredible!"

Giselle’s voice was soft but absolute. "Master... Charizard... you were flawless."

Sabrina simply nodded, the faintest smile on her lips. "The bond never wavered."

Liza stood frozen, heart pounding. She had watched fifty of the valley’s finest fall in the first half of the day, then another forty-nine of the absolute strongest in a continuous, unbroken onslaught.

The black-scaled giant in the center of the arena no longer looked like a visitor. He looked like a conqueror. Charla beside her let out a long, low sound that was equal parts respect and longing.

The defeated Charizard every single one of the ninety-nine.lifted their heads as they regained consciousness.

There was no more challenge in their eyes, only deep, profound respect and, among the females, open dreamy fascination. Several of the largest males lowered their heads fully, acknowledging the superior who had bested them without rest.

Only one remained standing.

The king of the Charicific Valley finally moved.

The nearly five-meter titan stepped forward, each footfall cracking the stone. His pure crimson flame roared higher than it had all day. He fixed Mega Charizard X with a gaze that carried decades of unchallenged dominance, then released a single, earth-shaking roar that needed no translation.

The final duel for the title of King had begun.

Ash rested a hand on Mega Charizard X’s neck, feeling the boundless power and the perfect synchronization of their Aura still flowing between them. The Key Stone pulsed once more.

"One left," Ash said quietly, a calm smirk returning to his face. "Let’s finish this the right way."

Mega Charizard X answered with a roar that rolled across every cliff and training ground of the ancient valley, azure flame exploding upward like a second sun. The king spread his enormous wings in answer, crimson fire meeting blue in a clash of pure dominance that made the air itself tremble.

The last battle was about to begin.

The king of the Charicific Valley spread his enormous wings, crimson flame roaring like a living furnace. Nearly five meters of battle-scarred muscle and scale stood between Mega Charizard X and the title of true King.

The air itself seemed to thicken under the pressure of two apex predators locking eyes. Every wild Charizard still conscious held its breath. Liza’s hands clenched at her sides.

Charla’s wings twitched with barely restrained tension. High above, the remaining cliffs watched in absolute silence.

Ash’s voice was quiet, almost gentle.

"Dragon Dance."

Mega Charizard X’s black body pulsed. Azure flame surged higher. Speed and power climbed once more, the Charcoal’s 50 % boost feeding every Fire-type movement until the very air shimmered around him. The king answered with a guttural roar and charged.

The first collision shook the valley.

Crimson Flamethrower met blue-white Inferno in a head-on blast that turned the center of the arena into a temporary sun.

Neither yielded. Mega Charizard X twisted first, wings becoming Steel Wing blades that carved a shallow line across the king’s chest.

The king retaliated with a Dragon Rush that slammed into Mega Charizard X’s shoulder hard enough to drive him back three meters, claws sparking against black scales.

Ash’s eyes never left the fight.

"Flare Blitz full commitment!"

Mega Charizard X became a comet of azure fire. He smashed into the king’s midsection with enough force to lift the larger Pokémon off the ground. The recoil scorched his own scales, but Holy Blaze and the Mega form’s resilience turned the pain into fuel. Before the king could recover, Ash called again.

"Seismic Toss!"

Black claws locked around the king’s shoulders. Mega Charizard X beat his wings once, twice, three times, climbing higher than any previous toss. At the peak he inverted and drove the massive body straight down.

The impact cratered the ancient stone, shockwaves racing outward in visible rings.

The king roared in fury and pain, crimson flame exploding outward in a desperate Heat Wave that forced Mega Charizard X to leap clear.

The king rose, one wing slightly scorched, eyes burning with the pride of a lifetime spent undefeated. He launched a barrage of Aerial Aces, each one faster and sharper than the last, trying to overwhelm with pure speed and numbers of strikes.

"Mirror them then Dragon Claw cross!"

Mega Charizard X met every Aerial Ace with precise wingbeats of his own, then crossed both claws in an X of pure draconic energy that caught the king across the chest and drove him backward. Blue fire leaked from the wounds.

The king answered with a point-blank Flamethrower that Mega Charizard X simply walked through, Holy Blaze and Mega X durability turning the ordinary crimson fire into little more than uncomfortable heat.

Ash’s voice remained steady.

"Thunder Punch left. Ice Punch right. Break his guard."

Golden lightning and freezing ice erupted from opposite fists in perfect opposition. The dual elemental strikes slammed into the king’s forearms as he tried to block, the sudden temperature extremes cracking scales and forcing a roar of genuine shock.

No Charizard in the valley had ever faced opposing elements delivered with such precision and power.

The king staggered, then countered with raw desperation an all-out Outrage that turned him into a crimson whirlwind of claws, fangs, and fire. Mega Charizard X met the storm head-on.

"Outrage of our own then Flame Vortex!"

The two dragons collided in a frenzy of pure power that tore deep gouges into the arena floor. Azure and crimson flames interwove, claws sparked, roars overlapped until the sound became a continuous thunder. For several heartbeats neither gained ground.

Then Mega Charizard X’s superior speed honed by repeated Dragon Dances and the perfect Aura link with Ash began to tell. He slipped inside the king’s guard and exhaled a tight, spiraling Flame Vortex that locked around the larger Pokémon’s torso, spinning him helplessly for critical seconds.

"Now Blast Burn!"

Mega Charizard X slammed both fists into the ground. The arena detonated. A column of white-hot blue fire erupted directly beneath the king, lifting him into the air and slamming him back down inside a crater of molten stone.

The king’s crimson flame flickered, wavered, then roared back to life as he forced himself upright once more, chest heaving, one eye swelling shut, but still unbroken.

Liza’s voice was barely a whisper. "He’s still standing... after all that..."

Misty’s shout cut across the valley. "Finish it, Charizard!"

Daisy’s voice joined her. "Show him the difference!"

Erika’s soft encouragement carried clearly. "You can do this..."

Melody’s cheer was pure fire. "One more push!"

Giselle’s eyes never left Ash. "Master... end it."

Sabrina’s quiet certainty sealed it. "Their bond is absolute."

Ash raised his hand one final time. The Key Stone pulsed in answer. Aura flowed brighter between trainer and Pokémon until the air itself seemed to hum.

"Everything we have. Flare Blitz into Dragon Claw. Then Inferno maximum output."

Mega Charizard X’s azure flame exploded outward like a second sun. He shot forward in a Flare Blitz so intense the ground beneath his takeoff scorched black.

The king met him with one last desperate Dragon Rush. The two forces collided in mid-air with a sound like the sky tearing open. For a single frozen moment they hung there, locked, power against power.

Then Mega Charizard X’s claws wreathed in the full might of Dragon Claw and Holy Blaze drove through the king’s guard and into his chest. The impact reversed the larger Pokémon’s momentum and hurled him downward.

Before the king could hit the ground, Mega Charizard X opened his jaws and released an Inferno that was no longer merely fire. It was a concentrated expression of every battle, every promise, every shared victory between Ash and Charizard.

The blue-white column swallowed the king completely.

When the flames finally cleared, the king of the Charicific Valley lay in the center of a vast, glowing crater. His crimson flame had shrunk to a weak flicker. He tried once to rise, massive body trembling, then collapsed fully, eyes closing in exhausted defeat.

Silence held the valley for three full heartbeats.

Then Mega Charizard X threw his head back and released a victory roar that rolled across every cliff, every training ground, every shadowed cave of the ancient Charicific Valley. The sound carried absolute dominance, absolute pride, and the unmistakable declaration of a new king.

One by one, the hundred defeated Charizard every single one that had fallen throughout the long day lifted their heads.

There was no resentment left, only profound respect. The largest males lowered their heads fully to the ground. The females watched with open, dreamy fascination, tails flicking, eyes soft with the clear hope of one day standing beside such overwhelming strength. In perfect, solemn unison, all one hundred bowed to their new king.

Ash exhaled, the Key Stone’s glow fading as Mega Evolution released. Black scales shifted back to familiar orange, the azure flame returning to the distinctive white-cored crimson of Holy Blaze. Charizard landed heavily beside his trainer, chest still heaving, but eyes bright with fierce joy. Pikachu and Eevee immediately scrambled onto his back, nuzzling and cheering in their own language.

The girls rushed forward as one.

Misty threw her arms up. "You did it! You actually did it!"

Daisy laughed, eyes sparkling. "King of the Charicific Valley officially!"

Erika’s smile was radiant. "That was the most beautiful battle I’ve ever seen."

Melody spun in a happy circle. "He’s incredible! You’re both incredible!"

Giselle reached Ash first, placing a gentle hand on his arm, voice soft with pride. "Master... Charizard... you kept your promise."

Sabrina’s rare, genuine smile warmed her usually cool features. "A perfect synchronization of Aura, bond, and power. Well done."

Ash rested his forehead against Charizard’s for a moment, the quiet gesture speaking more than any words. Then he turned, one arm still across his partner’s neck, and smiled at the girls.

"We did it together," he said simply.

High on the ridge, Liza stood frozen, tears of pure awe shining in her eyes. Charla beside her lowered her head in clear respect to the new king, a low, approving rumble vibrating in her chest. The caretaker of the valley finally found her voice, soft and shaking with emotion.

"The Charicific Valley... has a new king."

Charizard raised his head once more and released a final, resonant roar that echoed long after the sound faded an announcement to the world that the strongest Charizard had claimed his throne, and that the journey toward becoming the strongest in existence had taken its most important step yet.
