Chapter 228: Leviathan, Prabur’kbal (6)

Jake stared at the woman descending from the sky in awe.

Part of it was because of her beauty.

There was something almost otherworldly about her appearance, especially with her silver-white hair, cold blue eyes, and the strange blue flames coiling around her sword.

But more than her appearance, it was the feeling she gave him that caught his attention.

Jake couldn’t explain it.

He didn’t know how strong she actually was, nor could he even begin to estimate her true level, but his instincts were telling him that the difference between them was enormous.

’She’s strong...’

The thought came naturally to him, and the more he looked at her, the more certain he became.

Whatever level she had reached, it was clearly far beyond anything he could currently imagine.

The gap was so wide that there was simply no point in comparing himself to her, let alone feeling jealous.

Jake could only watch as she continued descending from the sky, completely calm despite the raging Leviathan below.

’So this is the Great Island Lord... The Azure Dragon.’

For the first time, he truly understood why someone like her could rule an entire region.

Jake continued staring at the Azure Dragon for a moment before he suddenly felt something against his chest.

"..hmm?"

He blinked and looked down.

Grace was still clinging tightly to him, but she had apparently gotten bored of simply hugging him.

Her face was pressed against his chest, and she was lightly biting at him.

Jake stared at her in confusion.

"...Grace?"

The bite wasn’t painful at all.

If anything, it felt more like she was gently nibbling on him.

Grace continued for another moment before finally looking up at him.

"What are you doing?"

Grace didn’t answer immediately.

Instead, she gave his chest another small nibble before quietly muttering with a cute pout,

"...You were staring at another woman for too long."

Jake’s expression stiffened.

"Ahem."

He quickly looked away and cleared his throat.

"I wasn’t staring at her like that. I was just admiring her aura and strength. Someone capable of standing against a Leviathan like this is obviously worth paying attention to."

Seeing that Grace was still pouting, Jake pulled her closer and gave her a reassuring squeeze around her cute, plump butt.

"...!"

Her petite yet voluptuous body twitched slightly in surprise as he leaned down and whispered softly into her ear,

"Besides, you’re much more interesting to me than anyone else here... and I missed you so much."

Grace’s cheeks immediately turned red.

"...Really?"

Jake smiled.

"Really."

At those simple words, the jealousy that had been lingering in Grace’s eyes seemed to melt away completely.

Her expression softened, and she immediately hugged him even more tightly, pressing herself against him as warmth spread across her cheeks.

Jake could feel the warmth of Grace’s body against his, along with the tender look in her eyes.

Having been with her for so long, he knew exactly what that expression meant.

’Oh no...’

He could already tell.

’Her switch just turned on.’

Grace clung to him even more tightly, her lips brushing lightly against the corner of his jaw before moving toward his neck.

The bite that followed was slower this time, lingering just enough to make Jake realize that it was neither quite a kiss nor completely innocent.

Jake’s grip on her tightened on reflex.

"Grace..."

He smiled wryly as Grace continued clinging to him.

"I don’t think this is exactly the best time for this, you know. Aren’t you worried?"

Grace, who was lightly licking his chin, paused for a moment before answering in a firm, almost casual tone.

"No."

Jake blinked, slightly surprised by how certain she sounded.

Then Grace looked up at him, her expression completely relaxed.

"After all... she’s here."

She said it as though that alone was enough to settle the matter.

Jake followed her gaze toward the woman descending from the sky.

For a moment, he remained silent before realizing what Grace meant.

She seemed completely certain that as long as that person was here, there was nothing left for them to worry about.

And at that moment,

Mita suddenly shouted with excitement.

"Big Sis Blauer!"

Her voice carried across the ship as she waved enthusiastically toward the woman descending from the sky.

Beside her, Ana finally relaxed and let out a long sigh.

A faint smile appeared on her face as she stretched her aching shoulders.

"I really don’t like working this hard~" she complained. "But I feel like I’ve just used up about two years’ worth of effort."

Hearing those words, Mita turned toward her in confusion.

"Two years? But all you do is sleep and drink all the time."

Ana gave her a tired look.

"Exactly. That’s why working this hard is so exhausting."

Before Mita could argue further, a cold voice suddenly came from above.

"...It’s time for you to go back to sleep, Leviathan."

Blauer said emotionlessly as she stared at the Leviathan, which seemed to freeze and fall silent.

It was as if even the Leviathan itself had recognized the figure standing before it.

For a moment, the enormous beast remained completely still.

Then, deep within its ancient mind, memories began to surge back.

...Memories from a time long ago suddenly surged through the Leviathan’s mind.

A time when the seas had been ruled by them, when countless ancient creatures had fought beneath the endless sky, and when the name of the Azure Dragon had already spread across the world.

The Leviathan’s enormous golden eye trembled slightly as it stared at the small figure floating in the sky.

That silver-white hair.

Those cold blue eyes.

And that sword surrounded by blue flames.

It remembered...

...It remembered seeing that figure once before.

Even though she looked different now, the Leviathan could never mistake that bloodline.

That same aura... That same blood.

For the first time since awakening, the Leviathan’s enormous body began to tremble.

But it was not from fear.

...It was rage... extreme rage.

An ancient, hatred-filled rage that had been buried for countless years suddenly surged through its mind.

Its crimson scales began to glow as terrifying energy erupted from its body.

The surrounding sea violently churned as the Leviathan raised its enormous head and released a deafening roar.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!

The roar shook the entire battlefield.

Jake’s expression changed as he felt the terrifying killing intent coming from the ancient beast.

’What just happened to it...?’
