Chapter 227: Leviathan, Prabur’kbal (5)

Ana frowned slightly as she felt the barrier beginning to weaken beneath the Leviathan’s overwhelming attack.

She could feel the tremendous force behind the crimson beam pressing against her barrier.

The intricate magic circle trembled more violently with every passing second, and the cracks spreading across its surface continued to multiply.

Even with her magic, she wouldn’t be able to hold it for much longer.

’...Even if I use another Spatial Rift, it won’t work.’

The Leviathan had already sensed the spatial node she used to move the ship.

If she teleported again, the moment the ship reappeared, the Leviathan would immediately locate them and attack the new spatial node.

And this time, she might not have enough time to form another barrier.

Ana’s expression grew slightly more serious as another crack spread across the magic circle.

Suddenly, multiple attacks rained down on the Leviathan from all directions.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOOOOOM!!!

The Alliance fleet continued firing at the Leviathan, trying to draw its attention away from the ship.

Massive cannon blasts, beams of magic, and countless projectiles struck its enormous crimson body, exploding across its scales and filling the battlefield with flashes of light.

But the Leviathan didn’t even flinch.

It remained completely focused on the ship directly in front of it.

Its enormous golden eyes were locked onto Ana.

The crimson beam pouring from its mouth suddenly grew even brighter.

VMMMMMMMM!!!

The pressure coming from the beam increased dramatically, causing the magic circle to tremble violently as more cracks spread across the barrier.

The Leviathan seemed completely hell-bent on destroying the ship in front of it.

Ana gritted her teeth as the barrier continued to tremble violently.

The crimson beam pushed against it with overwhelming force, causing the entire magic circle to distort under the pressure.

CR... CRACK!

Another crack spread across the barrier.

Ana’s arm trembled slightly as she poured more magical energy into it, desperately trying to reinforce the weakening formation.

"...Come on... Almost."

Her voice remained calm, but a hint of strain could finally be heard in it.

And yet, the Leviathan’s crimson beam only grew stronger.

The surrounding sea boiled violently, and the entire ship shook from the sheer force of the overbearing heat wave.

Ana was now down on one knee, one hand raised toward the trembling barrier as she struggled to maintain it.

Her breathing had become rough, and beads of sweat ran down her pale face.

The magic circle in front of her was already covered in cracks, barely holding together beneath the Leviathan’s overwhelming crimson breath.

Across from her, the Leviathan seemed to grow increasingly excited.

Its enormous golden eye gleamed with a strange sense of satisfaction as it watched the tiny species struggling to withstand its attack.

To the Ancient Beast, Ana’s desperate resistance was nothing more than the final struggle of an annoying insect.

The crimson beam grew even stronger.

KRRRRR... CRACK!

Another large crack spread across the barrier.

Ana’s arm trembled.

Yet despite her exhausted appearance, a faint smile slowly appeared on her pale face.

She looked toward the sky.

"How long are you going to make me work...?"

Her amber eyes narrowed slightly.

"Oh, Blauer."

The moment those words left her mouth—

ZING!

A streak of azure light suddenly descended from the heavens.

The flash was so fast that Jake could barely follow it with his eyes.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

It struck the Leviathan directly on the head.

A tremendous explosion erupted across the battlefield.

The Leviathan’s enormous head was violently knocked to the side, and its crimson breath was forcibly interrupted.

"ROOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!"

For the first time, the ancient beast let out a roar filled with unmistakable pain.

Its colossal body swayed violently, sending enormous waves crashing across the sea as it struggled to regain its balance.

Ana’s lips curled into a faint, exhausted smile as she looked up.

"...Finally."

The Leviathan violently shook its enormous head, forcing the pain away as its golden eyes burned with fury.

It swiftly raised its head and looked toward the sky.

The dark clouds that had covered the battlefield had begun to part slightly, revealing a patch of clear blue sky above the raging sea.

And beneath that clear sky, a beautiful woman was slowly descending.

But she wasn’t falling or flying.

She walked down through the opening in the clouds as though the sky itself had opened a door for her, each step carrying her effortlessly through the air as if the space beneath her feet had simply decided to support her.

She wore a fitted ice-blue bodysuit that covered her from neck to waist, with a silver filigree crest resting over her sternum.

A thick collar of vivid blue feathers framed her shoulders and flowed down her back, blending seamlessly with the polished silver armor covering her left shoulder and both forearms.

A narrow harness of black straps and silver fittings wrapped around her waist and hips, while a long blue cape flowed behind her, its lower edge cut into sweeping, feather-like points that moved gently with each step.

In her right hand, she carried a slender sword, blue flames slowly coiling around the blade like divine flames.

Their faint glow illuminated her figure and reflected off the star-shaped emblems on her heeled boots.

Her long silver-white hair streamed behind her, pale as frost and nearly weightless in the wind. Her clear blue eyes were cold and calm, and her expression showed neither excitement nor urgency.

She looked like someone who had already decided how this battle would end.

With each unhurried step, she continued descending from the sky, completely unaffected by the chaos raging below.

Yet the moment she appeared, the entire battlefield seemed to fall strangely quiet.

One by one, the soldiers and crews across the fleet looked up at the woman descending from the sky.

Their expressions changed from confusion to shock, and then to awe.

They all knew that legendary figure.

...The strongest existence in this region.

...The woman known throughout the Alliance by another name—

The Azure Dragon.

She was the Great Island Lord herself.

Lord Blauer.

"...Hmph."
