Chapter 1441: Chapter 1441: Divination Results

With the death of the last direct heir of the Vlad family, today’s eradication operation can finally be declared a complete success. The entire mission benefited from powerful firepower support, resulting in no fatalities except for a few agents who were accidentally harmed by the Blood Race desperate for mutual destruction.

"Your enemies are all dead! The revenge can be said to be accomplished. Do you have any other wishes you want to fulfill?" Pei Yan softly asked Lei Youting as he approached her.

Lei Youting shook her head. The belief that supported her to live was revenge, and now that all her enemies were dead, the pillar that held her up collapsed with them. She could clearly sense the acceleration of her soul’s dissipating speed. At that moment, she glanced at Moira’s corpse on the ground and suddenly had a thought, looking at Pei Yan and requesting, "Brother Pei, can I ask you one last thing?"

"Go ahead! As long as I can do it!" Pei Yan nodded and agreed.

"Has everything belonging to that villain’s part in that body been cleared?" Lei Youting asked, raising her hand to point at Moira.

Pei Yan followed her fingertip and immediately understood her meaning, quickly replying, "Yes! The bloodline of the Vlad family has been completely extracted by me."

"After all, that’s my body. I hope you can take her back to my hometown, cremate her, and bury her with my family, okay?" Lei Youting softly pleaded.

"Phew! I didn’t think it through! No problem! I will take care of this for you!" Pei Yan looked at the corpse he had thrown into the blood-stained mess, feeling a sense of guilt.

"Thank you! Brother Pei, I don’t know what you’ve been through, but I know you won’t turn into the demon you speak of. You are a good person! Really! Thank you!" Under Lei Youting’s control, her mechanical avatar approached Pei Yan and gently kissed his forehead. Feeling the cold touch of the mechanical avatar on his forehead, Pei Yan’s heart warmed up, and he felt like all he had done was worth it.

"She’s gone." Ye Ruozai, watching Pei Yan frozen in place as he was kissed, gently reminded him.

"I know!" Pei Yan wiped the tears from the corner of his eye when no one was looking. He raised his hand to place it on the mechanical avatar and retracted it into his body, turning to Mei Simiao who had just walked over, about to speak as the latter patted his shoulder and laughed, "I know! Leave it to me to arrange! I will definitely handle it properly."

"Alright! Let me know the burial place so I can send a bouquet of flowers."

"Okay!" Mei Simiao said, then turned around to instruct people to place Moira’s body into a storage ring, preparing to take it away for arrangements.

After finishing everything, the elite squad members looked at each other with relief, a weight that had been sitting on the hearts of everyone for years finally lifted.

"Old Ye, now check your brother’s condition. If there are no issues, we will lift his seal after dealing with those three escapees." Pei Yan casually remarked while stretching his shoulders. To him, the matter was already thoroughly resolved; divination was just a reassurance.

"Alright!" Ye Ruozai smiled and responded, sharing the same thought as Pei Yan, then took out copper coins he had inherited from Elder Cen. He crouched down and threw them onto the ground, closing his eyes and diving into a trance.

Everyone around gathered, curious to know the divination result. Initially, Pei Yan didn’t think much about it, taking out juice from a storage ring, drinking it while guiding agents on their work around. But as time dragged on, Pei Yan noticed Ye Ruozai’s smile fading, replaced by a more serious expression, making Pei Yan tense up as well.

"Is there still an issue?" Pei Yan looked at Ye Ruozai who slowly opened his eyes, nervously asking.

"Yes!" Ye Ruozai nodded with difficulty and said in shock, "In his future, there’s still a faint connection to the Vlad family, albeit weak, but if not handled, it will eventually explode some day."

Ye Ruozai’s words stirred everyone up, sparking a heated discussion.

"The Vlad family was completely wiped out! How could there still be a connection? Could it be those three escapees?" Jiang Feiyang scratched his head, puzzled.

"Impossible! Pei Yan already said! Those people don’t have the conditions to trigger the Blood Curse." Wang Wenze immediately refuted.

"Could it be the paralyzed son Delacuri mentioned?" Xia Yuti suggested another possibility.

"That person’s body was already found inside the castle, sacrificed his bloodline by the Vlad family before breakout to counter the Magic Array. Intelligence and residual bloodline aura confirm he’s Delacuri’s eldest son." Mei Simiao shared the latest report from inside the castle.

"Perhaps because Pei Yan absorbed a large part of the Vlad family elite’s bloodline, affecting the divination result! After all, divination isn’t an event marked to happen but rather indicates a possibility, isn’t it?" Liang Qian shrugged, indifferent.

This explanation received majority approval from those present, including Ye Ruozai who nodded in agreement. Seeing Pei Yan still standing with a deep, thoughtful expression, Wang Wenze approached and nudged him, laughing, "Stop thinking! None of us will believe you would endanger Jiumu in the future."

"The future is uncertain! But I don’t believe I’d end up confronting a friend," Pei Yan replied, raising his head and frowning, "So I’m thinking about something else. Divination shows Jiumu is still connected to the Vlad family and might face danger because of it in the future! Vlad family! Vlad family!"

Muttering to himself, Pei Yan suddenly seemed to realize something, urgently turning to Ye Ruozai, "Now, divine whether Delacuri is still alive! Or alive in another form?"

"Alive! How is that possible? Didn’t he already meet his end?" Wang Wenze expressed disbelief, noting how everyone had witnessed that scene happening.

But Ye Ruozai had no such doubts. As soon as Pei Yan raised the question, he was enlightened, immediately crouching down to pick up the copper coins and commencing a new round of divination. This time, he spent more time than the previous attempt, repeatedly diving, until his pallid complexion and sweating forehead forced him to stop divining.

"Is the result as I expected?" Pei Yan stepped forward to support the spiritually exhausted Ye Ruozai, observing his condition, Pei Yan knew the answer in his heart.

"Yes! He’s still alive!"

This answer was even more shocking than before. Ye Ruozai’s response was not ambiguous but rather definite, leaving everyone exchanging looks and feeling chills down their spines. Hu Jiu, who had once joined Pei Yan in the assault against Delacuri, stared wide-eyed in disbelief, "How is that possible? We were there for the kill! Both of us witnessed it; it’s absolutely impossible!"
