Origin Summoner: All My Summons Are Broken
Chapter 67: This Is Totally Broken
Chapter 64
Daylight City was the same city where his mother and younger sister had gone for iris treatment. At least, they had been there the last time he knew anything about their whereabouts.
Orion began wondering whether he should visit them. Were they still in Daylight City, or had they already returned home? He hadn’t seen them for some time, and after everything that had happened inside Dungeon X, he couldn’t help wanting to make sure they were alright.
However, there was something else the doctor had told him that caught his attention.
According to the doctor’s calculations, Orion should have remained in a coma for months, possibly even years. Based on his previous condition and the circumstances surrounding his arrival at the hospital, there had been no reasonable explanation for him to wake up so soon.
Yet, on the very next day after that assessment, he had suddenly awakened completely healthy, without any lingering injuries, visible complications, or even the slightest indication that he had been on the verge of spending months or years unconscious.
It was, in the doctor’s own words, a genuine miracle.
Orion listened quietly, his thoughts drifting back toward the events of Dungeon X.
Another miracle, huh?
He couldn’t help wondering just how many things had happened to him that he still didn’t understand.
Unfortunately, the doctor couldn’t provide any further answers. After a while, he informed Orion that he would be leaving to contact Lady Katherine, who apparently wanted to discuss something important with him.
Orion acknowledged the information, and the doctor eventually left the room. Once the door closed behind him, the hospital room fell quiet again.
Orion remained motionless for a long while, his gaze seemingly fixed on nothing in particular. There was so much to think about: his Reawakening, his missing memories, the Origin System, the absurd treasures hidden inside his Partial Storage, and now Katherine’s involvement in bringing him to the hospital.
He had no idea where to begin.
After sitting quietly for several minutes, Orion’s gaze eventually landed on his system screen once more. He stared at it for a while before making his decision.
Before deciding what he should do next, he would review the remaining items in his storage. Perhaps he would find something that could help him understand his current situation.
Or perhaps...
He would discover something even more ridiculous.
At this point, he wasn’t sure which possibility frightened him more.
Nevertheless, he opened the Partial Storage again and selected the next item on the list.
Unfortunately for Orion, the treasure’s description was more than enough to steal his breath away.
Again.
[Name: Tri Divinity Dagger]
[Item Type: Divine Relic]
[Description: A powerful divine weapon consisting of three blades, each representing an absolute elemental divinity.]
Orion’s eyes moved across the screen as he began reading the information.
[Blue Blade: Tectonic Ocean]
[Represents the endless depths and crushing might of the ocean.]
[When wielded, grants a 100% boost to physical attributes.]
[Provides extreme resistance to water-based attacks.]
[Enhances physical force and destructive might.]
Orion paused briefly before continuing to read.
[Red Blade: Eternal Flame]
[Represents the eternal flame that burns without end.]
[When equipped, grants a 100% boost to mental attributes.]
[Provides extreme resistance to fire-type attacks.]
[Enhances mental strength, concentration, and resistance to mental interference.]
Orion’s eyes widened slightly, but the information wasn’t finished.
[White Blade: Supreme Frost]
[Represents the absolute cold that freezes everything it comes into contact with.]
[When equipped, grants a 100% boost to Willpower.]
[Provides extreme resistance to ice-based attacks.]
[Enhances Willpower and resistance against suppression and spiritual pressure.]
Orion stared at the description, his expression becoming increasingly strange. Then, he read the final section.
[Note: The true abilities of the Tri Divinity Dagger remain sealed. To unseal them and unleash their full might, the required elemental affinities are needed: Water, Flame, and Ice.]
For several seconds, Orion remained silent before finally managing to speak.
"Oh..."
He paused.
"..."
Another moment passed.
"Oh."
He stared at the screen again.
"Oh..."
That was all Orion could say. What else was he supposed to say?
The Tri Divinity Dagger was a divine relic consisting of three blades, each representing an absolute elemental divinity. Even in its sealed state, it could grant enormous boosts to his physical attributes, mental attributes, and Willpower.
A hundred percent boost to each of those attributes!
And that wasn’t even counting the elemental resistances or the enhanced capabilities that came with each blade.
The blue blade strengthened his physical attributes and destructive power, the red blade enhanced his mental attributes, concentration, and resistance to mental interference, while the white blade boosted his Willpower and protected him against suppression and spiritual pressure.
Three different blades, three different forms of power, and all of them contained within a single divine relic.
Yet, the true abilities of the weapon remained sealed. To unlock its full potential, he needed the affinities of Water, Flame, and Ice.
Orion slowly exhaled.
"Oh, that was all..."
He muttered the words, sounding almost as though he were trying to convince himself that this was something ordinary.
Was it broken?
Definitely.
There was no question about that. ℴ
A divine relic capable of granting such enormous attribute boosts was already an extraordinary treasure. The fact that its full abilities remained sealed only made it more intriguing.
Who knew what it would become once he fulfilled the requirements to unlock its true power?
Even so, compared to the Origin Awakening Eggs, the Tri Divinity Dagger somehow seemed less outrageous.
That realization alone was enough to make Orion question his own standards.
A divine relic with three elemental blades and enormous attribute boosts was being overshadowed by a handful of eggs capable of triggering Reawakening and granting people the opportunity to obtain mythical talents.
What kind of absurd world had he found himself in?
Orion shook his head slightly and shifted his attention to the next item on the list.
And this time, his mouth opened, then closed, before opening again.
"Oh..."
He stared at the information.
"Oh..."
He read it once more.
"Oh..."
It seemed that he had temporarily lost the ability to form any other response.
The next treasure’s description appeared before his eyes.
[Name: Mana Devouring Chains]
[Type: Unknown Treasure]
[Description: A set of mysterious chains possessing the ability to absorb, store, and manipulate mana.]
[The chains can be used to drain an opponent’s mana, restricting their movement and interfering with the flow of mana within their body.]
[They can also be used in the opposite manner. Instead of restricting mana, the chains can be used to surge forward one’s own mana, functioning like a mana battery.]
Orion’s eyes followed the words carefully.
The ability to drain an opponent’s mana was already extremely useful. Depending on how effectively the chains could absorb mana, they might be capable of weakening an opponent over the course of a battle, reducing their ability to use skills and restricting their movements.
And if the chains could interfere with the flow of mana within an opponent’s body, their usefulness would extend far beyond simple mana depletion. They could potentially disrupt an enemy’s abilities at crucial moments, leaving them vulnerable when they least expected it.
But the treasure wasn’t limited to that. It could also function in the opposite manner.
Instead of draining someone else’s mana, the chains could store mana and release it when needed, essentially acting as a mana battery. That meant Orion could potentially use them to replenish his mana reserves or provide himself with additional energy during a prolonged battle.
For someone who relied on skills and abilities, such a treasure could prove invaluable.
However, there was still more to the description, and that was where things became truly ridiculous.
[In extremely rare circumstances, the chains’ ordinary appearance will disappear, and they will transform into a golden form.]
[When this occurs, the user’s mana can increase by up to hundredfold, all the way to a million fold.]
[The conditions required to trigger this transformation are unknown.]
Orion sucked in a cold, deep breath as he stared at the final lines, his expression growing increasingly serious.
Hundredfold...
All the way to one million fold?!
His mind struggled to process the numbers.
If the chains could increase his mana by a hundred times, that alone would be an extraordinary advantage. It would allow him to use far more mana-intensive skills and abilities without worrying about exhausting his reserves too quickly.
But one million fold?
That was a completely different matter!
Depending on how the effect worked, a hundredfold increase could allow him to unleash an absurd number of skills, maintain powerful abilities for much longer, or draw upon an enormous amount of mana that would otherwise be beyond his reach.
And the chains could also absorb, store, and manipulate mana.
The combination of those abilities was frightening.
Yet, the conditions required to trigger the golden transformation remained unknown. Orion had no idea what would cause the chains to change their appearance, nor did he know whether he would be able to activate that transformation whenever he wanted.
Still, the mere possibility was enough to leave him stunned.
He stared at the description for a few more seconds before finally opening his mouth.
"This is totally broken..."
The words escaped him before he could stop himself.
It wasn’t the first time he had said something like that today, and, judging by the treasures he hadn’t discovered yet, it probably wouldn’t be the last.
