But Ayra simply stared at them with a smile. "Then come, then. I’d like to see what you can do."

The Hyena beasts exchanged glances before turning their attention back to Ayra.

"What nerve!"

"Get her!"

Immediately, five of the Hyena beasts charged forward, confidently making their way toward Ayra to attack. Rai and the others remained behind, watching and hoping for the best.

As the Hyena beasts approached, Ayra slowly stepped backwards with a smirk. She closed her eyes, inhaled and exhaled, and the moment she opened them, her body began to transform.

In less than a minute, the human form of Ayra they knew was gone. In her place stood a huge, glamorous-looking brown fox.

Ayra had transformed into a grand, ethereal-looking fox beast. She stood tall, mighty, and beautiful, looking down at the Hyena beasts, who were considerably shorter than her!

The Hyena beasts were speechless. They gasped in shock as they stared up at Ayra’s towering and elegant beast form.

She was so intimidating that they could only stare at her in silence.

"How’s... How’s this possible...?"

"How did she... do that...?"

"She’s... Is that really her?"

"A supreme-looking fox beast like that...? How’s that possible?"

Immediately, the Hyena beasts began staggering backwards, suddenly feeling wary of the sight before them.

Even Rai and the others were impressed by the transformation.

"Wow... The female looks so elegant in her beast form," one of them remarked.

Kan smiled. "She just keeps getting better and surprising us..."

"Her beast form is simply supreme!" Rai said with a proud smile.

Even the little ones were proud and happy at the sight of their mama. The triplet snakes couldn’t help jumping around excitedly.

"That’s our mama!" Neris exclaimed happily.

Ayra stared down at the Hyena beasts as they continued stepping backwards. With a smile, she asked, "So, how do you want to play? Do you want to peacefully hand over my little one so that no one gets hurt, or...?"

Some of the Hyena beasts were already feeling intimidated and continued retreating.

However, a few gathered their courage and snapped.

"Why should we be scared of her? It doesn’t mean she’s stronger than us! She’s still a female at the end of the day!"

"Exactly! So let’s take down this female!" another Hyena beast declared, encouraging the others as they stepped forward again, preparing to attack.

But Ayra merely smiled and raised her chin.

"Fools."

The five Hyena beasts charged forward, leaping toward Ayra to strike her. However, Ayra casually turned around, raised her massive tail, and swept it across them.

In an instant, her tail struck the Hyena beasts, sending them flying through the air before they crashed harshly against the trees.

"....."

The others were speechless as they watched their teammates land on the ground like pieces of rubbish thrown into a trash can.

It seemed the female really did have some tricks up her sleeve...

However, some of them still doubted her strength, convincing themselves that what had happened was merely a stroke of luck. More Hyena beasts rushed forward to attack, only for Ayra to repeat the same move, sweeping them into the air with her tail and sending them crashing to the ground.

She smiled at them. "I guess you never learn, do you?" she scoffed.

The Hyena beasts slowly staggered to their feet and regrouped, staring at the female before them.

They had figured out that her tail might be her greatest strength, so they needed to come up with another strategy. After a quick discussion, they began surrounding Ayra from every direction.

Soon, Ayra was completely surrounded. Only five Hyena beasts remained behind to guard the little ones, while the rest positioned themselves around her, determined to take her down for good.

Ayra glanced around at them with a smile. She could tell they had devised a new strategy to defeat her. By surrounding her, they hoped to prevent her from using her tail so freely.

"I gave you the chance to stop, but I guess you’re not taking it." Ayra smiled. "Well, don’t blame me for whatever happens next."

With that, she turned toward Rai and the others, smiling at them. It was a signal for them to go and rescue the little ones, and they slowly nodded in understanding.

Ayra turned back to the Hyena beasts, who were now rushing toward her from every direction. Immediately, she closed her eyes before opening them almost at once.

Green energy spread from her body and into the surrounding atmosphere. As the Hyena beasts drew closer, they inhaled the green, venomous energy emanating from her.

The venom took effect almost immediately, causing them to freeze in their tracks.

"What..." one of the Hyena beasts tried to say. "What’s this...?"

Slowly, they all began coughing violently, one after another, while staggering backwards and struggling to remain on their feet.

Their vision also began to blur as they looked around in confusion.

"What’s happening?"

"I think the female... It’s poison! I think she poisoned us!" one of them shouted in panic.

But it was already too late.

They continued coughing, their eyes turning green as they struggled to breathe properly. Some desperately clutched at themselves, fighting to keep from collapsing.

Ayra simply stood there, watching as her poison slowly took its toll on them.

Meanwhile, Rai and the others had reached the spot where the children were being held. As the warrior beastmen engaged the five remaining Hyena beasts, Rai, Kan, and Ally rushed to rescue the little ones.

"Are you okay?" Ally asked, checking on Kellie and Minnie. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

The twins shook their heads, indicating that they were fine.

Ally sighed in relief. "That’s a relief."

Rai and Kan also checked on the other little ones to make sure they were all safe and unharmed.

While everything was happening, Minnie curiously observed the scene around her. She watched the ongoing fight and noticed how the evil Hyena beasts were giving her mama a hard time.

She wasn’t happy about it at all.

Her mood worsened when she spotted three of the Hyena beasts sneaking up from behind Ayra. Even while struggling under the effects of the poison, they were still looking for an opportunity to attack Ayra from behind while she wasn’t looking.

Minnie was furious. She hated that they were disturbing her mummy, especially when they were being so sneaky about it.

And so, the little one knew she had to do something.
