Only Female In A Beast Tribe: Crazymen Fight To Pamper The Villainess!
Chapter 255: Cooking Lessons
Chapter 255: 255: Cooking Lessons
The Rabbit Chef started by explaining everything in detail, showing them how they would need to cut the potatoes into pieces so they could cook properly.
"This should be easy..." the Rabbit Chef said, folding his arms. "We just need to cut them into pieces, and we’ll be done and move to the next stage. Nothing much." He smiled.
And then the potatoes were placed before the five of them, and they were encouraged to begin cutting them.
"That’s easy, then." Lord Zark said as he pulled out his knife for cutting. It was his massive hunting knife.
"...."
The Rabbit Chef was speechless as he stared at him. "That is...?"
"This?" Lord Zark stared at the hunting knife in his hand. "It’s my hunting knife..."
"I know, but what’s it doing here?" the Rabbit Chef inquired.
"I’m going to use it to cut...?" Lord Zark replied.
"I know, but why...?" the Rabbit Chef asked again.
Lord Zark raised an eyebrow. "Well, I think it’s easier that way. Instead of using smaller ones that would take a lot of time, we should hasten things up and cut them faster with something bigger."
Commander Lynn slowly nodded in agreement with his theory. "That makes sense..."
But the Rabbit Chef scoffed as he ran a hand through his hair. "I don’t think it works that way, though..."
Lord Zark wasn’t listening. He raised his hunting knife and said, "Don’t worry. I’m sure of this, and I’m certain it’ll be faster. Relax."
He proceeded with his hunting knife and began cutting the potatoes, but they ended up being sliced into massive pieces.
"How’s that?" Lord Zark asked when he was satisfied with what he had done.
"...."
The Rabbit Chef didn’t seem pleased. He ran a hand through his hair while shaking his head. "No. It’s too big..."
"...."
Lord Zark tilted his head. "It shouldn’t be...?"
The Rabbit Chef sighed. "No, it’s too big. You have to cut it into smaller sizes..." He explained everything all over again.
"...."
Lord Zark was speechless as he stared at the hunting knife in his hand.
"Then I guess this won’t work."
"...."
The Rabbit Chef sighed.
Lord Ash smiled as he shook his head. "I know things like this. I’ve seen them do stuff like this before, so..." He shrugged proudly as he picked up the smaller knife at his side and proceeded to work.
He cut through some of the potatoes before holding them up and staring at the Rabbit Chef. "This is perfect. What do you think?"
But the Rabbit Chef folded his arms and tilted his head. "Eh, not small enough."
"....."
Lord Ash was speechless.
Lord Vale laughed as he shook his head. "I know this. Leave it to me," he said proudly as he took his knife and began cutting through the potatoes.
He cut so quickly that everyone stared at him in amazement, watching his hands move back and forth like a professional.
"Woah..." Ally blinked with a smile. "Does this mean he’s good?" she asked as the others shrugged, watching.
When he was done, Lord Vale stared up at the Rabbit Chef. "I just made the perfect cut, so..."
But the Rabbit Chef looked close to tears.
"We’re supposed to have a visible size, though, and not turn them into dust..."
Lord Ash burst into laughter as he stared at what Lord Vale had practically cut into dust.
"...."
Lord Vale blinked awkwardly. He folded his arms and stared at Lord Ash. "At least I got something close to it..."
Nyx said nothing. He casually picked up his knife and cut through the potatoes without much thought. When he was done, the Rabbit Chef stared at him with a smile, clearly impressed.
"Perfect! This is perfect!" the Rabbit Chef exclaimed. "Everyone should learn from him and do theirs like this!"
"...."
Everyone was surprised as they stared at Nyx.
Even Nyx himself was surprised. He had simply been doing it without thinking and somehow ended up getting it right.
"I thought he was bad at this...?" Lord Ash asked, tilting his head.
"Luck, I guess," Lord Vale explained.
The others nodded in agreement.
---
They followed Nyx’s actions and ended up getting it right to some extent, even though they didn’t manage to get the perfect shape.
When they were done, the Rabbit Chef sighed as he wiped imaginary sweat from his forehead.
"That was almost hard to handle... I’m glad that’s over. Now, let’s move on to peeling off the skin."
Lord Ash blinked, scratching his head. "Huh? Do we need that...? Why can’t we just eat it like that...?"
Lord Vale stared at him. "The female can’t eat that. It’s not good for her body."
Lord Ash blinked before nodding. "Oh..."
"So, this is how it’s done." The Rabbit Chef took his time explaining this part, demonstrating how they were supposed to carefully peel the skin from the cut potatoes. He showed them vividly so they could understand exactly what to do.
"Is that clear enough?" he asked after he was done.
Lord Zark smiled as he folded his arms. "That easy. We’ll be done before anything else."
Lord Ash also nodded. "So easy," he added as they all proceeded to peel the potatoes before them.
For this stage, the Rabbit Chef had advised them against using their knives to avoid cutting away too much of the potatoes. Instead, he encouraged them to use their sharp claws to assist with the peeling.
And so, they got to work, all five of them peeling while paying close attention to the task at hand.
As they worked, the Rabbit Chef folded his arms and moved from one person to another, keeping an eye on them.
He finally got to where Commander Lynn was and suddenly paused.
"What are you doing...?"
His eyes fell on what was in Commander Lynn’s hands. Commander Lynn paused as well and stared up at the Rabbit Chef, his expression calm and casual, as if he wasn’t doing anything wrong.
"Peeling off the back of the potatoes...?" Commander Lynn casually replied while staring at the stressed-out Rabbit Chef.
