They watched Lord Vale happily walk off as Lord Ash shook his head.

"So full of himself... I’m going to show him I’m the best at this, and Ayra likes me for that too," he said as he also walked off.

Lord Zark and Commander Lynn stared at each other while watching him leave. They said nothing as they followed after them.

Nyx stared down at the Rabbit Chef. The two of them shrugged before proceeding to follow behind.

The Rabbit Chef recalled the ingredients quite well, so he gave them instructions on what to get and where to find them.

"I’ll go and get the potatoes," Lord Vale said. "I know exactly where to find the best ones."

"Me too." Lord Ash folded his arms. "I’m in charge of gathering the best types of meals, so I know where to find them."

And with that, the two of them set off to get the potatoes.

Commander Lynn and Lord Zark left together to get some milk and honey for the preparation. They didn’t have any nearby, so they had to step outside the tribe to get them. They needed some milk and a little honey to make the porridge work better.

Nyx, on the other hand, went to get some salt. It was so rare that he didn’t even know what it looked like, but the Rabbit Chef had given him instructions on where to find it, so he set off to get it.

They all went their separate ways, gathering all the required ingredients for preparing the sweet potato porridge.

They weren’t going to prepare it only for Ayra. It was something that more people would eat, so they figured it would be better to cook it in a bigger portion.

The Rabbit Chef waited for them in the kitchen so they could start cooking as soon as they returned.

After hours of being out gathering the required ingredients, they all soon began returning. Before long, they had gathered in the kitchen and presented the ingredients to the Rabbit Chef.

He checked them all carefully to make sure they were correct and in good shape according to the standards he had learned from Ayra.

"So? How is it?" Lord Ash asked, folding his arms.

The Rabbit Chef slowly nodded. "They’re in good shape. They’ll work out."

Lord Ash smiled proudly. "I knew I would get the quality. I’m always on point."

Lord Vale smiled as he shook his head. "I was the one who helped with the selection of most of the potatoes, though. You simply wanted to take them all like that."

"...."

Lord Ash went quiet as he stared at Lord Vale, who had just exposed him. He cleared his throat before forcing a smile.

"I still gathered them..."

Nyx shook his head. "Let’s get started, then, since we have everything we need. Ayra is probably waiting for us. She’s not healthy enough to wait for too long."

And so, they nodded and started preparing the sweet potatoes.

Ally had come to join them in the kitchen. She sat down beside the other beastmen while watching them prepare the meal.

The Rabbit Chef stood close by with his arms folded, watching them get ready to cook and waiting to give them instructions. He would be doing most of the instructing since they didn’t know how to prepare the meal.

But before they started, the Rabbit Chef asked, "Are you sure you want to prepare this...? I mean, you can leave it to me, and I’ll handle it..."

They shook their heads.

"No. I promised Ayra I would do it ourselves, and she’s already waiting for us. So I can’t let her down," Lord Ash said firmly.

"...."

The Rabbit Chef slowly nodded. "Oh. Okay, then..."

"Now, for the washing..." the Rabbit Chef said as he showed them how it was done.

He started by placing a potato into the water and washing it. "The female said we must do this and that it’s important. So pay attention..."

They watched him carefully as he washed the potato.

While watching, Lord Ash scratched his head. "But does it even make any difference...? I mean, we can just cut them up and throw them into the fire. It’s still the same taste..."

"...."

The Rabbit Chef stared at him before saying, "Well... I suppose. But the female said something about hygiene."

He added, "She says you’ll get sick if you don’t wash them, so you have to clean them properly."

Lord Vale nodded. "The female is already sick, and her body is sensitive. So she needs clean food. We have to consider that too."

With that explanation, Lord Ash slowly nodded while still scratching his head.

"Oh, that makes sense, I guess..."

And so, they continued watching the Rabbit Chef wash the potatoes. When he was done, he handed the rest to them so they could take over and wash them too.

The Rabbit Chef stood with his arms folded as he watched them. He was relieved when they all got it right.

It was only washing, so at least it was pretty easy.

Soon, however, they had turned it into a competition amongst themselves to see who could wash the most potatoes in the shortest amount of time.

The Rabbit Chef was shocked as he stood there watching them swing the potatoes up and down in the water, washing them as if their lives depended on it.

Four of them competed to wash the most potatoes while Commander Lynn simply stood there, washing calmly at his own pace.

"Well, look on the bright side..." Ally sat nearby as she commented, "At least they’re getting it done quickly."

The Rabbit Chef could only shrug in agreement.

Soon, they were done with the washing stage, with four of them partially covered in the water they had ended up splashing onto themselves.

And then, the Rabbit Chef introduced them to the next stage of the preparation of the Sweet potato porridge.

"Now, we shall cut the potatoes."
