Chapter 172: 172: Apology

While there that night, the husbands had gathered around Miya and said, "Heal us.. we’re bleeding... Heal us to stop the bleeding.." they requested.

But Miya who was sitting down by the rock side glared at them. "No.. I can’t do that now..." She pointed to the little bruise at her hand. "I have to heal myself first.."

She continued, "I’m already exhausted from all the running and walking.. not even enough food. I don’t have enough energy to heal. I have to heal myself first so I can get the strength to heal," she insisted.

Her husbands stared at her. They were the ones who had thrown themselves there to protect her. And now were bruised and bleeding like abandoned dogs.

But they didn’t complain. They tried understanding her as they slowly nodded. "Okay... Take care of yourself and heal first.. we’ll handle these injuries ourselves and wait for you to get healed."

Miya smiled as she patted her dog husband by the ears. "Thanks for understanding. I know you all understand me best."

Kul and some of the beastmen who were heavily injured had stepped forward, pissed. "How is that possible? You are only mildly injured! We are bleeding and almost at death’s door from protecting you! So what energy do you want to reserve??" He questioned.

But Miya folded her arms. "And what do you know? I’m the healer so I need a lot of strength. You know nothing so don’t speak!"

They went back and forth on it but Miya slapped Kul hard by the face. "You ungrateful tiger. You should know I am important. So you must prioritize my strength. You’re a male, so you can bear the bleeding."

She turned to her husband. "Take him out of my sight. So annoying, I have to rest. And get me something to eat too."

They did as she said. Taking Kul off while bringing Miya something to eat.

To some extent, Miya and her A-rank husbands were more respected than the coward son of the tribe lord. So they naturally listened to Miya more.

They took Kul and tied him up while they continued their night.

Miya eating and resting while she healed herself. While her husbands sat around, using some leaves to clean their injuries, enduring the pain and hoping it gets better by the next day.

They didn’t wish to force Miya to heal them at all since she wanted to heal herself first. They wanted to understand that even though within, they found it questionable.

Ayra arrived at the cave prison in the company of the three tribe lords and Commander Lynn.

They stood at the entrance as the guard beastmen bowed down to them and stepped aside. And then Ayra stared at the entrance.

She didn’t say much, they simply parted way and let her walk in majestically while they followed her inside.

And while they did, Ayra stopped right in front of the leopard.

The black leopard beastman was sitting there on the floor. He didn’t even look up at the people that came in, he had a cold expression.

"What are you doing here again? To laugh at me? Or to showcase your vicious lying nature?" The leopard demanded. "Get out, I don’t care to see your face. You can kill me if you want! I don’t care!"

"I wouldn’t dare kill you, Klat," Ayra said calmly. She had recalled the names from her memory.

And as she said that, Klat, the black leopard glared at her. "You vicious woman.. you even dare to call my name.." he was furious.

Ayra hesitated for a while with a sigh as she said, "You can be angry with me all you want, I don’t blame you at all. But I’m still here and I’m still going to speak to you with regards to your twin brother... Klatan," she said.

As soon as she mentioned the name, Klat glared up at her furious. "You monster! After what you did you dare open your evil mouth to call his name!"

The leopard instantly got up to his feet, furious. He was about attacking Ayra while the guards held him down. But he struggled.

"You! How dare you even call his name!" Klat questioned.

The tribe lords and Commander Lynn were about pulling out their weapons in defense, but Ayra urged them to calm down as they stopped and watched.

The leopard was still furious, kicking and snapping at Ayra, threatening to take her down.

But Ayra watched for a while. And to everyone’s surprise, she fell down to her knees right in front of everyone.

As she fell to her knees, Klat stopped. Everyone paused as they stared at her.

"What are you doing...?" Lord Ash asked as the rest stared with the same question.

But Ayra was on her knees as she stared up at Klat. "I’m sorry..."

"I’m officially here to apologize for what I caused to you and your brother.. I’m sorry for what I did... I’m sorry for my attitude and the harm I brought him and you..."

Ayra took her time apologizing. She apologized in detail and with sincerity that the people in the room were rather speechless.

They had no words as they watched and listened to her apologizing.

And when she was done, she gave a slight bow as she said, "It was all because of me that your brother is in this current state.. so if you can find it in your heart... even if you can’t forgive me now... But let me fix it," she stared up at him. "Let me help heal your brother..."

Silence.

No one believed the female could go this extent. At least Klat didn’t at all. He didn’t believe Ayra would apologize like this.

At first, he didn’t believe and had doubted her. He had told her that she was scheming something.

But Ayra insisted that she meant every word. And swore on the gods of the wilderness that if she was lying, she would lose her life.

The leopard was speechless at this act. Now, his fury was replaced by confusion. He didn’t know if he was to believe her or not.

But Ayra had assured him, "If I don’t help him, then I will let you do anything you want to me as revenge. Anything."
