Chapter 173: 173: Healing The Leopard

Commander Lynn led the way to the leopard’s cave room. The three tribe lords followed behind, their weapons out and ready to strike.

The warriors held Klat firmly while they made their way to the destination. Ayra was with them in the middle, moving.

Soon, they arrived at the cave room. Commander Lynn turned to Ayra who made her way in without looking backwards. They all followed behind.

Inside, a leopard beastman was laying there in bed, looking like a living corpse. The whole room mildly reeked with flies hovering around.

Ayra had to hold in her breath as they stared closer. The leopard had his legs broken. He lay there crippled without hope of moving. His face was bruised and mildly disfigured that it was hard to tell who he was.

He still had mild bruises and marks around his body while he lay there. Anyone who saw him there would simply shed tears, and Ayra couldn’t help the tear building up in her eyes.

"I’m sure you’re happy at what you’ve seen," Klat said. "You’re the one behind it. This is probably what you want to see. Just because my brother refused to bow down to you."

Ayra said nothing. She struggled to hold back the tears running down her eyes as she stared at the almost lifeless body there.

Commander Lynn approached, covering Ayra’s eyes so she wouldn’t see through the mess there. But Ayra gently brushed off his hands, she stared at the body.

"He’s also a beastman like me.. why look away?" She said without discrimination. And this left them surprised, especially Klat.

Ayra slowly approached.

"What are you doing...?" Lord Ash inquired. They feared for her safety.

But Ayra assured them that she knew what she was doing. She slowly approached, firmly holding her breath, she slowly scanned the body with her eyes.

The system table popped before her.

[Ding]

[Diagnosis done]

[Broken legs]

[Bruised skin from head to toe]

[Almost disfigured face]

[Weak body and bones]

[Inner and outer body infection]

Ayra stared through him with a sigh. She slowly turned.

"What are you doing here? What are you up to now?" Klat was defensive. He was struggling to break free from the warriors.

"Don’t worry..." Ayra turned to him. "I’m not going to harm your brother. I promise..." She turned and said, "I need your cooperation so I can heal him."

"..."

"How do you plan on doing that...?"

She said, "Even if you hate me, you can’t doubt the fact that I can heal him. So I’ll need you to trust me."

Klat stared at her. "My brother is beyond help already all because of you. He’s crippled and his whole body and bones are too weak and scrapped. So how does it make sense that you can heal him?" He doubted.

But Ayra said firmly, "I only need your approval and cooperation. And I’ll make it possible."

Klat was still skeptical of the female. But Lord Ash said to him, "If she can soothe the wild beastmen back to sanity, an act that has been impossible for ages, then this is nothing strange to the female."

And with that, Klat found himself wavering. He suddenly had hope for his brother that he had lost for ages.

And with that hope now burning, he decided to trust the female. "Let’s see what you can do then..."

For the following day, Ayra had proceeded with the work of healing the leopard. She had the help and support of Commander Lynn, the tribe lords, Rai and his peers, the beastmen around and even little Ally.

Ayra started off by cleaning the body of the leopard beastman with clean water. She gently wiped it clean to keep it hydrated.

While she cleaned the body, Commander Lynn and the tribe lords stood there arms folded as they watched, jealous.

The four beastmen mates were already getting jealous of the sight of their female cleaning up another male.

"I’ll do it," Lord Ash finally insisted. "I’m good at cleaning."

"Me too," Lord Zark insisted.

Ayra stared at them. "I need to do this.. you wouldn’t really know this," she smiled. She had medical experience from the real world, so it was her time to use it all.

The beasts frowned, arms folded while they watched. Even Klat stood there staring attentively to know what the female was doing for her brother.

On Ayra’s request, Rai and his peers rushed and got a lot of honey. And Ayra applied it on Klatan’s skin to clean external wounds to help protect them from infection.

"Mama, I want some honey," Ally leaned closer for some.

But Ayra smiled and said, "No, it’s for work." Ally pouted as she looked down.

Ayra gathered antibacterial herbs and crushed them into a paste for the infected wounds. And then she applied it to the leopard.

While she applied it, he was in pain and groaned aloud. "Don’t worry, it’ll be fine... you’ll get better.."

The leopard was scared of the sight of the female. He had recalled the female and what she did to him. He couldn’t even express himself as he was scared.

But Ayra had calmed him down in the process with her soothing voice. "It’s okay.. I won’t hurt you... I’m here to save you..."

She assured the leopard who slowly calmed down to the female’s touch.

Ayra got fever-reducing herbs to help with fever from the infection and some pain-relieving herbs as well to reduce the leopard’s pain.

Over time after getting some rest, Ayra applied anti-inflammatory herbs, broad leaves and clean soft cloth which covered the wounds when she was done.

Ayra made use of her healing skills. Placing a hand over his legs and chest to heal through his broken bones. A touch, and he could feel his bones getting better.

Ayra was done while sitting down close to Klatan. She stared down at him with a gentle smile, the leopard’s face was still covered in bandage after she had applied the medication to his face and all.

"How do you feel?" Ayra asked.

Commander Lynn and the tribe lords stared curiously. Klat was curious as well, staring at his brother to see if there had been any improvement after the strange things the female did to him.
