Thanks to Celestial’s Might’s effect, the Soul Soldier lost around a third of its combat power, meaning that its attributes, power, and even its soul were now significantly weaker.

That didn’t mean the battle became easier at all, quite the opposite in fact as the Soul Soldier now didn’t seem to want to laugh anymore, its amusement replaced by cold fury.

It swung its sword in an instant, but in contrast to previously, Leon was actually able to see it, his eyes tracking the blade’s path.

He ducked under the sword then deflected another strike, but right at that moment, the Soul Soldier lunged forward again, with the mouth in its chest positioned to decapitate Leon.

’...!’ Leon’s eyes widened, his mind racing.

He couldn’t really dodge this or block it with his sword, and [Ultimate Darkness Barrier] would likely break instantly under such an attack.

So his choice was between using Time Stop or...

In an instant, a wormhole appeared right where Leon was standing, and after another instant, he appeared out of the one he had set up when he arrived at the scene, far from where the Soul Soldier was.

The Soul Soldier slammed against the ground, and it got up, aura flickering in its eyes as it stared back at Leon, its gaze filled with confusion and rage.

It tried to do the same thing again, but Leon teleported once more, appearing at the top of the building.

"What’s happening?!" Violet spoke as Leon appeared before her, "Do we fight?!"

"Its weaker than before," Leon replied with a grin, "But not yet."

The Soul Soldier turned its head toward the building, and it seemed to realize that there were still many things left to destroy in this stronghold, its gaze lingering on the structure.

It took a step forward, then another, charging up its power, the energy radiating from its form in waves.

But right as it was about to head toward Leon and the girls at the top of the building...

Eclipse Annihilation!

Leon used Abyss Teleportation to teleport to the same rift as before, appearing right behind the Soul Soldier, his sword already swinging.

His sword flashed as he released hundreds of slashes, which hit the Soul Soldier all around its body, the blade carving through the air.

Its armor was sturdy beyond what Leon expected though, as even though every slash connected, only a few fissures appeared on the armor, the damage minimal.

The Soul Soldier slowly turned its head as a result, its eyes narrowing.

It glanced at the spot where Leon was, then back at the building, seemingly realizing what the human was doing, its gaze shifting between the two.

And at that moment, the glow of its soul got stronger as it turned back, seemingly ignoring Leon, its attention fixed elsewhere.

Instead, its eyes were fixed directly on the three girls standing at the top of the building, its intent clear.

Leon heard a faint snicker coming from the mouth on the Soul Soldier’s chest and...

Fwoosh!

A silver chain erupted from the ground to hold Leon’s foot in place right as he was about to attack, the metal wrapping around his ankle.

The skill’s activation was instant, meaning that Leon didn’t even notice it until it was already in place, his movements restricted.

SLASH!

He tried to break the chain, but it was sturdy, though not unbreakable as he noticed a faint crack spread through it, the metal straining against his strength.

Leon lifted his staff, releasing his Ice Spikes and Vines of Desolation as he believed the Soul Soldier would try to attack him, the attacks erupting from the ground.

But the Soul Soldier didn’t even turn back at him, or try to attack him at all, it simply lowered itself and continued charging its sword, as if ready to release something, its focus unwavering.

The vines erupted from the ground, hitting the Soul Soldier, but it didn’t budge, its form absorbing the blows.

Even the Ice Spikes simply shattered when coming in contact with its armor, the shards scattering harmlessly.

And right as Leon destroyed the chain...

Soul Crescent!

The Soul Soldier, powered by its soul, released a terrifyingly large silver crescent forward, it was around 100 meters large, its edge gleaming with deadly light.

Seeing that, Leon realized what it was trying to do, his blood running cold.

’Holy shit, that thing is smarter than I thought,’ he thought, his mind racing.

The Soul Soldier then instantly dashed forward toward the building where the girls were to try and catch them as they fell, its form moving with incredible speed.

The Soul Soldier realized that Leon cared about these three, so it was trying to kill them quickly to force him into a bad situation, using them as leverage.

And even if Leon teleported again, it would wait for him to kill him, its strategy cold and calculated.

SLASH!

The silver crescent tore through the building’s foundation and continued onward for several miles, destroying everything in its path and even killing thousands of players and natives that were pretty far, their bodies consumed by the blast.

In fact, the crescent’s range was so large it destroyed a chunk of the stronghold’s wall and continued to kill thousands of monsters outside the stronghold, the destruction absolute.

Unfortunately for the Soul Soldier though...

The world turned grey as time stopped right as the Soul Soldier was about to jump in the air to attack Emilia, Celeste and Violet, their forms frozen in place.

Leon quickly teleported using the rift, grabbed the three girls and after another second teleported to the second rift once again, his movements swift and precise.

Time resumed at that moment, and the Soul Soldier jumped, only for it to look confused, its gaze scanning the area.

One instant the three girls were about to fall, and the other... they were gone, vanished into thin air.

It was sure that its opponent couldn’t have teleported as it didn’t see him, its confusion growing.

And yet, as it turned around, it noticed Leon dropped the three girls on the ground, their forms safe and sound.

"...?" the Soul Soldier tilted its head, unable to comprehend what had happened.

It couldn’t comprehend, but after all, how could anyone expect that someone could literally stop time, the concept too absurd to grasp.
