Chapter 361: The Dragon Empress, Of Course Its her.

Emilia and Celeste had both heard of the [Dragon Empress] during their time in the kingdom, a supposedly extremely strong player who had gained immense prestige and recognition in only a short amount of time.

In fact, her popularity had increased while the two girls were in the kingdom.

But of course, as soon as he heard that title, Leon already knew exactly who it was, a familiar face from his past appearing in his mind.

In fact, he simply opened his [World Map] and followed the ID that was also in the training grounds, confirming his suspicion with a quick glance at the icon.

After five minutes of pushing through the crowd and navigating the packed facility, they reached the biggest field of them all, and inside was an incredible scenery that made everyone stop and stare in awe.

A massive monster, at least six meters tall, resembling a massive white wolf with a dark blade held in its mouth, gazed down at the being fighting it with predatory intensity, its eyes glowing with malice.

"Its a [Crescent Blade Wolf], holy shit!" someone in the crowd exclaimed with disbelief.

"Damn, I heard that thing easily kills level 100 players without breaking a sweat, it’s supposed to be one of the toughest in the database."

Thousands of players surrounded the field in every direction to enjoy the battle and discuss the techniques being used, the atmosphere electric with excitement and anticipation.

Meanwhile, Leon simply approached and gazed above the rest of them, his eyes fixed on the figure in the field, watching every move with keen interest.

In the middle of his vision, the [World Map] also showed the ID [RainbowDragon], standing right in the middle of the field, precisely where the other player was, confirming his guess.

’Of course its her...’ Leon sighed, though a small smile appeared on his lips despite himself.

Facing the [Crescent Blade Wolf] was Violet, holding her rapier in her hand and ready to strike, her stance perfect and confident.1

Slash!

The wolf jumped and swung its massive blade down with incredible force, forcing Violet to deflect it with her rapier in a shower of sparks that lit up the field.

And though the size difference between them was incredibly obvious, Violet didn’t even budge from the powerful attack, holding her ground firmly as if the impact meant nothing to her.

She remained in place, her multicolor eyes glowing deeply with determination as she assessed her opponent’s next move, calculating her response.

Then with a powerful dash, she swung her rapier in a wide arc, forcing the wolf to block with its own blade and back away several steps, giving her room to maneuver.

Then she summoned her wings from her back, their rainbow color making everyone watching gasp at their ethereal beauty, the sight truly breathtaking and mesmerizing.

Violet simply used them to fly up and rely on the momentum to attack over and over, raining blows down on the wolf from above, keeping it off balance.

But even with that advantage, the wolf didn’t seem to give up either, its resilience impressive and its determination unwavering.

It had 9,000,000 Combat Power after all, making it a formidable opponent that even experienced players would struggle against, and it wasn’t going down without a fight.

’Wait a second, how does Violet even manage to get to such an opponent’s level when she couldn’t even do anything against the [Forsaken King] a month ago,’ Leon thought, genuinely confused by the rapid growth, ’...Must be her talent, or the rewards of her god-rank assessment giving her a massive boost in power.’

Of course, it still seemed like Violet was "struggling" against the wolf though, so it wasn’t an "easy" battle for her by any means, requiring her full focus and concentration.

Snow Shards!

The wolf had a chill aura appear around it as it summoned hundreds of ice shards around its body, sending them all toward the dragon girl with deadly precision, a barrage that would overwhelm most opponents.

Anyone who faced this barrage would fall down immediately, but Violet didn’t seem moved at all by the attack, her expression remaining calm and focused.

Instead, she reacted with perfect timing, her movements fluid and practiced.

Crystal Protection!

Dozens of white transparent hexagons appeared all around Violet like a protective barrier, forming a perfect defensive formation that shimmered in the light.

BAM!

And once one of the snow shards hit one of the hexagons, it shattered, and another one came to replace it instantly, creating an endless defensive wall that held firm against the assault.

This barrier allowed her to block a ton of attacks, and her skill seemed leveled up as well, making it even more effective.

Draconic Flames!

She used that time to charge up her flames in her mouth, and release them across the entirety of the field where the wolf was standing, engulfing it in a torrent of multicolored fire.

If not for the barrier that separated the field from the outside world, thousands of people would have been scorched by the intense flames that erupted across the arena.

The crescent blade wolf was visibly injured as the flames disappeared though, its body smoking and its movements slower, and with a final leap, she ended the fight decisively.

Light Swing!

Violet rushed forward and pierced through the monster’s neck with her rapier, killing it as it disintegrated into particles of mana that scattered across the field.

"HOLY SHIT, THAT WAS INSANE!"

"No wonder she’s the [Dragon Empress], she’s absolutely incredible and so powerful!"

"I heard even the queen wanted to meet with her personally..."

Everyone applauded and cheered for Violet, who simply nodded modestly, waving her hands at the crowd and looking around with a humble smile.

But after only a few seconds of searching through the crowd, her gaze landed on Leon, who was looking at her with a blank expression from the edge of the crowd.

And as soon as this happened, her face turned red and she quickly turned around, as if embarrassed to be seen by him in such a public display.

’...She saw me,’ Leon sighed internally, ’I guess that’s good though, I did say I wanted to speak with her.’

Violet left her field after that, with the massive crowd of people surrounding her and trying to get her attention, calling out her name.

"Let me pass," she said simply, and a path formed instantly, none daring to oppose her wishes or get in her way.

Violet was so important to the [Imperial Kingdom] that even the guards with the highest authority couldn’t oppose her.

That was the prestige she had gained, and in only one month since she arrived here, it was an impressive feat.

Leon wondered if he’d be able to do the same if he tried, though his personality was much more lowkey, so he wouldn’t put himself in the spotlight like this unless he had a good reason to draw attention.

Feeling that the situation wasn’t ideal for a conversation with all the eyes on her, Leon simply told Emilia and Celeste that it was time to leave.

But right as they turned around to walk away, he heard a familiar voice calling out to him from behind, stopping him in his tracks.

"Hold on!" Leon turned to see Violet standing before him, having made her way through the crowd to reach him, "Where do you think you’re going?" she said with a warm smile.

  • She was in Leon’s god-rank assessment in the [Forsaken City]
