Chapter 130: The Second Unique Special Item, The World Map
Chapter 130: Chapter 130: The Second Unique Special Item, The World Map
Ding!
[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 48 + Level 49!]
[Due to “Heaven’s Blessing,” you have gained 500 points in all attributes and 500 free points to distribute.]
A long breath escaped Leon’s mouth as he stared at the notification hovering in front of him.
“Phew… only one level away.”
He was actually relieved that the guardian hadn’t granted any more experience than it already had.
Because if he had crossed into Level 50 right now, the system would have forced the third assessment upon him immediately.
And that would mean leaving the [Lower Domain] behind before he had tied up everything he wanted to finish here.
His gaze shifted toward his experience bar.
[Level: 49 (123,400/160,000)]
It was close, only a few more monsters and he would reach the threshold.
Before checking the rewards in his [Storage Space], Leon turned around and walked toward Emilia, who was sitting a short distance away.
Her breathing heavy and her robe slightly torn from the intense spiritual storms the guardian had unleashed earlier.
She looked exhausted, and there were faint traces of dried blood at the corner of her lips, but she was alive, and that was what truly mattered.
More importantly, because of the [Strength Buff] she had applied to Leon near the end of the fight, the system had recognized her as having contributed to the guardian’s defeat.
Which meant she had received the full experience reward.
Emilia slowly stood up, brushing dust from her outfit as a panel hovered before her eyes.
“I’m level 50,” she said calmly, though there was a faint tension in her voice. “I guess it’s time for my third assessment, huh.”
Unlike Leon, she still had the option to select [No] when prompted, but declining would lock her out of attempting it again for two entire weeks.
And neither of them wanted that delay since the higher domains were clearly where the real opportunities and dangers lay.
Leon nodded once, “Alright.”
She had thirty seconds to decide, and they both knew what the answer would be.
While Emilia prepared herself, Leon quickly opened his [Storage Space], his eyes scanning through the newly acquired rewards from the fallen guardian.
[Guardian of Spirits Essence: Consuming will increase Spirit by 250.]
[Spirit Scepter (Mythical): +9,000 Magic Attack, +5,000 Spirit, +2,000 Agility. Requirement: Level 50 and 10,000 Spirit.]
[Sub-Talent Scroll: Supreme Spirit Enhancement (S-Level)]
[x10 Skill Stones]
[x10 Enhancement Stones]
A satisfied smile formed on his face as he looked through the list.
Every single item was useful, and there was no meaningless junk among them.
Without wasting any time, Leon summoned the [Spirit Scepter] from his [Storage Space], the long and elegant weapon materializing in his hand in a swirl of light before he tossed it toward Emilia.
“Use that for your third assessment,” he said firmly. “We’ll meet in the [Higher Domain].”
Emilia caught the scepter, her eyes widening slightly as she felt the immense spirit power flowing through it.
She assumed that Leon had more things to do if he said that, as he was extremely close to level 50.
About fifteen seconds later, her body began to glow softly, particles of light forming around her as the system prepared to transfer her.
Then she disappeared completely, leaving Leon alone beneath the open sky of the [Farlands].
A grin slowly spread across his face.
“Too bad [Celestial Hand] didn’t activate on him,” he muttered to himself. “Getting two S-Level Sub-Talents would’ve been good.”
Still, he couldn’t complain.
He quickly consumed the [Guardian of Spirits Essence], feeling a warm current flow through his body as the spiritual energy merged into his core.
[+250 Spirit.]
He stored the skill stones and enhancement stones carefully, knowing they would be useful later.
And then his gaze shifted toward the sub-talent scroll.
He currently possessed [Mega Spirit Enhancement (A-Level)], which had served him well up until now, but this scroll was clearly a direct upgrade.
There was no reason to hesitate.
Fwoosh!
Leon grabbed the scroll and poured mana into it before tearing it apart.
Ding!
[You have evolved “Mega Spirit Enhancement (A-Level)” to “Supreme Spirit Enhancement (S-Level)”]
[Supreme Spirit Enhancement (S-Level): Permanently increases Spirit by 200%.]
Once again, this allowed Leon’s [Combat Power] to instantly skyrocket again, and also meant that his spells would be much more devastating.
A wide grin stretched across his face.
Now he truly felt ready, not just for the third assessment, but even for whatever awaited in the [Higher Domain].
After calming himself, Leon turned his attention toward the [Spirit Monument].
The massive structure standing tall and untouched despite the chaos that had unfolded around it during the fight with the guardian.
There was something inside it, something the [Guardian of Spirits] had been ordered to protect by the [God of Spirits].
Leon walked toward it, a faint excitement rising in his chest.
The monument shimmered with spiritual energy, its surface carved from an unknown material that seemed to pulse gently, and at its center stood a pedestal.
“Here we go again,” Leon said with a grin.
Resting on top of the pedestal was something unexpected: a map.
Ding!
[You have conquered the “Farlands” and defeated the “Guardian of Spirits”]
Immediately, the entire [Spirit Monument] began to glow brighter, as if acknowledging him.
[Take your reward, Celestial.]
Leon didn’t hesitate and extended his hand toward the map, but before his fingers could even fully grasp it, another panel appeared.
Ding!
[The “World Map (Unique Special Item)” has recognized you as its true owner.]
“Oh shit,” Leon whispered, his eyes widening. “Another unique item—”
Before he could even finish the sentence, the [World Map] suddenly shot forward and merged directly into his chest, just like the [Blood Heart] had done before.
A surge of warmth flooded through his body, spreading from his chest to his limbs and finally concentrating behind his eyes, which glowed faintly as countless streams of information seemed to pour into his mind all at once.
He stiffened at the intensity of it, but after a few seconds, the sensation stabilized.
As expected of a unique special item, it bound itself to his soul permanently.
Ding!
[Congratulations, you have obtained the “World Map” (Unique Special Item)]
Leon immediately opened its information panel, unable to contain his curiosity.
—
[World Map (Unique Special Item): Contains all the information one must know inside of the domains of “Eternal Ascension,” allowing its user to see anything in them.]
[In addition to that, the “World Map” has two functions unique to it:]
[Teleportation: The user is allowed to teleport instantly to a place they already visited with no cooldown.]
[Domain Travel: Once per day, the user is allowed to teleport between domains.]
[The “World Map” cannot be destroyed or stolen, no matter what.]
—
Leon stared at the panel for a long moment, his jaw slightly open as he processed what he was reading.
“This is… one of the greatest items ever,” he muttered.
As expected of a unique special item, it was on an entirely different level compared to normal gear.
And now that he possessed two of them, he could clearly see how broken they were when compared to everything else.
He also understood something important: if he could obtain such items, then others might have them too, and depending on their effects, those items could be just as dangerous as his.
Still though, this [World Map] basically just solved almost every single one of Leon’s problems.
Not only was he able to teleport instantly to places he already visited, but he could travel between domains now.
In fact, he could test it right now.
He knew the [Lower Domains] where the [Shadow Assassin Guild] and [Church of Light] were in after all.
He saw the exit portal appear outside the [Spirit Monument] and rushed toward it.
“It’s time to test it out,” Leon said with a grin, excitement flashing in his eyes. “Here we go.”
