Chapter 131: Using the World Map’s Teleportation, Power Makes The Difference

Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Using the World Map’s Teleportation, Power Makes The Difference

Fwoosh!

Leon stepped out on the other side of the [Farlands Gate], his boots landing firmly on solid ground just as the massive structure behind him emitted a low humming sound.

Its ancient surface was losing the faint glow it once carried.

Ding!

[You have lost your “Farlands Protection”]

The notification appeared quietly before him, but Leon barely reacted to it.

He had already anticipated that the protective blessing granted to reach the [Farlands] would not last long.

And in truth he had no intention of ever setting foot in that place again now, and also because he couldn’t, that he had conquered it and claimed its reward.

He turned slightly and glanced at the gate, noticing that the swirling spiritual energy that once framed its entrance had completely vanished.

Leaving behind only the imposing stone arch.

Click!

A deep metallic sound echoed through the air.

Leon’s gaze sharpened as glowing symbols began to light up across the surface of the gate.

Ancient runes activated one after another while enormous spectral chains manifested from thin air and wrapped themselves tightly around the gate, locking it in place with overwhelming force.

Ding!

[The “Farlands” will now be permanently locked.]

“Damn,” Leon muttered under his breath.

Much like a secret realm, it seemed like the [Farlands] disappeared the moment someone completed them once.

And it made perfect sense in this case because there was only one [World Map] available.

Meaning that the moment someone succeeded, the opportunity vanished for good.

He did not even have time to dwell on it, however, because another notification immediately followed.

Ding!

[A global announcement is about to be broadcasted through all 1,000 Lower Domains.]

Leon raised an eyebrow slightly, though he already knew what that meant.

“Oh.”

Ding!

[Player “Celestial” is the first in the history of “Eternal Ascension” to conquer the “Farlands”, permanently locking them up.]

Just like the announcement that rang throughout the world when he cleared the [Elemental Temple], this message echoed ten times in succession.

Its sound resonated across every single [Lower Domain] without exception, ensuring that every player heard it.

And more than anything… he knew that his enemies were also looking at this announcement right now.

’Hah… I guess it doesn’t matter at this point,’ he thought calmly.

There was no longer any value in attempting to conceal his identity, because everyone in the [Lower Domain] already knew the name “Celestial”.

Unlike before, however, the situation had changed.

Thanks to the [World Map], Leon was no longer bound by the domain’s rules.

And if he wished to reach someone, there would be very little stopping him.

Ding!

[You have managed to conquer the “Farlands”, a feat no one has ever achieved before, and you have been rewarded with 50 Reputation Points.]

[Your reputation has reached 350, you will now gain 50 additional attributes per level.]

“Nice,” Leon murmured with clear satisfaction.

Once again, Leon’s strength was improving, and he was extremely satisfied by it all.

After the system notifications faded away, Leon lifted his head and stared forward into the vast darkness that stretched ahead of him.

Because despite clearing the [Farlands], it seemed like the [Danger Zone] didn’t go away.

Plus, without the [Farlands Protection], even Leon would not be able to survive within that territory for long.

The [Shadow Demons] were simply too powerful, and he didn’t wish to try to fight them.

Which meant, once again, that the answer lay with the [World Map].

’It feels like a tutorial step,’ Leon thought thoughtfully.

Anyone who managed to clear the [Farlands] would naturally receive the [World Map].

And you couldn’t go back through the [Danger Zone].

In other words, the system was subtly guiding the player toward their next action.

Leon did not waste time reflecting further as he focused his mind on the unique item bound to his soul, and in the next instant—

Fwoosh!

A massive projection unfolded before his eyes, so large that it nearly occupied his entire field of vision.

Yet unlike the small map provided by [Appraisal], this one was expansive and detailed beyond comparison.

It displayed the entirety of [Lower Domain #1] with astonishing clarity.

Which included terrain, cities, landmarks, and even specific structures that he had personally visited during his journey.

He could clearly see [Hub City], [Moon City], and [Myriad Race City], along with dungeon entrances such as the [Undead Temple] and the [Star Magic Cave], all precisely marked and labeled.

Everything he had explored was recorded flawlessly.

As he studied it more closely, Leon noticed additional details emerging: names.

Small indicators representing individuals on his [Friends List].

Eleonore, David, Alice, and Aaron were all visible within the boundaries of [Myriad Race City], confirming that they had completed their second assessments and progressed as expected.

He could not see Tolkien or Merek, since they were not registered on his friend list.

Which suggested that the map only displayed information connected directly to him or to locations he had personally encountered.

His own position appeared as a small blue dot labeled “Celestial,” standing at the edge of the massive dark region representing the [Danger Zone].

Leon spent several minutes looking at the interface.

He discovered that he could zoom in and out, scroll across the domain, and even resize the projection to keep it partially visible without obstructing his natural vision.

Eventually, he felt satisfied with his understanding.

“Time to test the first ability,” he said quietly.

[Teleportation: The user is allowed to teleport instantly to a place they already visited with no cooldown.]

Without hesitation, Leon selected [Myriad Race City] on the map, and a prompt immediately appeared.

Ding!

[Do you wish to teleport to “Myriad Race City”?]

“Yes,” he replied firmly.

The moment he confirmed, his surroundings blurred as space itself seemed to fold around him.

The sensation was powerful, and within a matter of seconds—

Fwoosh!

Leon reappeared just outside the gates of [Myriad Race City], the towering walls standing before him exactly as he remembered.

“I guess it worked, as expected,” he said with a satisfied grin, “And that’s just one of the two abilities.”

Since [Teleportation] had no cooldown, he could theoretically move between known locations endlessly, granting him unmatched mobility across the domain.

It also meant that he didn’t need to bother with walking much anymore.

Of course, he first needed to reach that place first, but for things like quests, this was a game-changer.

He did not immediately test repeated teleportations though, because there was something else he wanted to handle first in here.

“They should be inside based on the [World Map],” Leon murmured as he approached the entrance. “Perfect timing.”

He intended to meet his companions, check on their progress, and say his farewells before moving on to the [Higher Domain].

However, as he neared the gate, the orc guards stationed there immediately raised their weapons and blocked his path.

“Damn…”

“Intruder,” one of the orcs growled cautiously, clearly recognizing him, “You are not allowed in [Myriad Race City] any longer for what you did.”

Leon understood the situation instantly.

He had killed Ghorak, the lord of [Myriad Race City], so it was normal his reputation with these beings dropped sharply.

Even with the [Reputable] title, he couldn’t improve his reputation with natives that despised him.

Technically, he could force his way inside, but engaging them would yield experience points.

And that was the last thing he wanted right now, since reaching level 50 prematurely would trigger his assessment before he wanted to.

“Can I at least get my money back?” he asked calmly.

Under normal circumstances, the orcs would refuse without hesitation, but this time was different.

They knew who stood before them, and fear flickered in their eyes.

If this human could defeat Ghorak, then what chance did they even stand?

And so…

Ding!

[You have received 1,000 Eternal Coins from Myriad Orc Guard.]

Leon smiled faintly, he knew that it wasn’t much, but it mostly showed him that power truly made the difference.

These orcs wouldn’t budge if not for his extreme combat power.

Regardless, Leon then opened his [Friends List] and sent a brief message.

[Celestial: Come outside of “Myriad Race City”]

Their responses were immediate, and within a minute, they emerged from the gate area.

“He’s here!” Aaron exclaimed, waving energetically.

“Brother Leon would never deceive us,” David said confidently.

“W-We were getting ready f-for the [Myriad Arena],” Alice added shyly.

“It’s good to see you,” Eleonore said with a warm smile.

It was the first time he saw such an expression on her face in both lives.

She was known as extremely cold due to her immense power across the [Higher Domains].

He observed them carefully and could tell that they had grown significantly stronger thanks to the items he had provided.

At least, stronger than they were in his past life at this stage.

’Good,’ he thought approvingly. ’But we’ll need more though.’

Because the challenges awaiting them in the [Higher Domain] would not forgive weakness.

And Leon was already prepared to give them exactly what they needed next.
