Chapter 118: Heading To The Lord’s Mansion, Fighting The Orc Guards

Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Heading To The Lord’s Mansion, Fighting The Orc Guards

[Forbidden Spells] and [Forbidden Skills] were so powerful they could wipe out an entire city if needed.

Only a level 3 stronghold or higher had a real chance of surviving such devastation, and that was only because of the massive [Barrier] placed around those cities.

Those barriers were designed specifically to endure catastrophic attacks.

Without them, the result would be simple: total annihilation.

And for a spell named [Oblivion Meteor], Leon did not need the system to spell it out for him.

The name alone suggested overwhelming destruction.

Even so, Leon could not act recklessly.

[Myriad Race City] was filled with players who had done nothing wrong.

Many were simply grinding levels. Some were preparing for their next assessment. And Emilia was there too.

He needed to be careful. He had never used a [Forbidden Spell] before.

He did not know how precise his control would be or the range.

He did not know how far the impact zone would stretch.

If he misjudged it, the consequences would be irreversible.

Leon took a slow breath and pushed those thoughts aside for now.

There was another way to achieve what he wanted.

He rushed forward toward the city.

[Celestial: I am here.]

After a few minutes of moving at full speed, he reached the gate entrance of [Myriad Race City].

The towering walls loomed over him as usual, guarded by massive orcs clad in heavy armor.

’The [Orc Lord Orb] will definitely help me get what I want,’ Leon thought.

That item was the true objective.

The only way to obtain it was by defeating the lord of [Myriad Race City].

Doing so would immediately place a target on his back.

Every orc guard in the city would hunt him down.

Bounties would also be issued. He would become an enemy of the entire city.

But the reward was worth it.

The [Orc Lord Orb] was an extremely powerful item with unique properties.

Leon could use it to obtain high grade equipment, equipment that would be useful even after entering the [Higher Domain].

’I will be able to get good equipment with it,’ he thought with a faint grin.

And with the [Blood Heart] fully recharged, he would also be able to bless whatever he acquired.

That combination alone made the risk worthwhile.

Leon was allowed inside the city without issue.

The guards did not recognize him as a threat yet.

In the main square, he quickly spotted Emilia waiting.

As he approached her, he activated [Appraisal] to check her current state.

[Name: Emilia Verdant]

[ID: Saintess]

[Level: 43]

[Title: Support Saint, Magic Saint]

[World: Verdia (High-Level)]

[Talent: Elven Saintess (SS-Level)]

[Sub-Talents: Agility Enhancement (D-Level), Poison Resistance (D-Level), Super Constitution Enhancement (B-Level)], Spirit Enhancement (D-Level)]

[Skills: Appraisal (Common Lv.3), Agility Enhancement (Common Lv.3), Divine Beam (Elite Lv.3), Strength Buff (Rare Lv.1), Spectral Flames (Epic Lv.2), Speed Buff (Lv.1), Silk Bind (Lv.1)]

[Combat Power: 236,614]

Leon stared at her [Combat Power] without changing his expression.

’I mean, every time she levels up she gains 100 points in every attribute and 100 free points,’ he thought. ’With her titles boosting Spirit and Constitution by five times, that alone is insane growth.’

On top of that, she had solid equipment and useful sub talents.

When everything was calculated together, her combat power made sense.

Still, seeing the number directly in front of him was shocking.

He was closing the gap between them quickly despite her massive multipliers, but Emilia’s growth remained monstrous.

For what he planned to do next, her strength would be important.

“Alright,” Leon said calmly, a faint grin forming. “Time to head to the [Lord Mansion].”

The lord of [Myriad Race City] was infamous.

He was powerful enough that almost no player dared challenge him.

Those who tried were usually crushed. And even if someone managed to kill him, he would respawn later, stronger and more prepared, sending waves of guards after the offender.

“I plan to get the item I want and then we will immediately head for the [Farlands],” Leon added.

“Alright,” Emilia replied without hesitation.

They left the main square and moved deeper into the city.

They passed by the square where the [Myriad Arena Gate] stood.

The last time they had been here, they had stopped. This time, they did not even glance at it.

“Why do you want to kill him this badly?” Emilia asked as they moved. “Is it really only for the item?”

“Not just that,” Leon answered. “But explaining it would not change anything.”

Players were not the only ones capable of submitting to gods and becoming servants.

Natives of [Eternal Ascension] could do the same.

The [God of Magic’s Disciple] in the [Star Magic Cave] had been a native, not a player.

That meant the threats Leon needed to eliminate were not limited to players alone.

Even if he removed every player aligned with hostile gods, countless natives could still exist in hidden corners of the world.

The situation was more complicated than it appeared.

Eventually, the [Lord’s Mansion] came into view.

It was a massive structure built from dark stone, guarded by dozens of heavily armed orcs.

Their armor gleamed under the daylight, and their weapons looked large enough to crush normal players in a single strike.

“What do we do?” Emilia asked, tightening her grip on her scepter.

“We attack,” Leon replied simply. “Do not slow down. I want this finished quickly.”

Emilia nodded and immediately raised her scepter.

Strength Buff! Speed Buff!

Warm energy surged through Leon’s body as the buffs took effect.

His muscles felt lighter. His movements sharpened.

The orc guards noticed them approaching and quickly formed a defensive line.

“A filthy human and elf,” one of the orcs sneered.

“What do we do?” another asked with a grin.

“Kill them,” a third responded. “The lord has ordered us to eliminate anyone who approaches too closely, even by mistake.”

The orcs laughed among themselves.

Orcs, whether players or natives, were known for their monstrous strength and durability.

They prided themselves on overpowering other races. They believed humans and elves were inferior.

And yet…

SLASH!

Leon’s blade flashed.

One of the orcs was split cleanly in half before he could even raise his weapon.

The body collapsed heavily onto the stone ground. The other guards stared for a fraction of a second.

“Huh?”

But they did not hesitate.

To orcs, dying to a supposedly inferior race simply meant weakness. They felt no shame. They felt no fear.

Leon activated [Appraisal] again.

The first time he had tried to inspect these guards upon arriving in the city, the system had prevented him.

This time, it worked.

[Myriad City Orc Guard]

[Level: 50]

[Talent: Super Strength Enhancement (C-Level)]

[Combat Power: 140,000]

[Details: The guards of “Myriad Race City”, orcs that like to fight other beings and consider all other races inferior.]

“Hm.”

Their combat power was extremely high. Years of training and their racial bonuses made them overwhelming opponents for most players in the [Lower Domain].

But unfortunately for them, they were facing Leon and Emilia. Two of the strongest players in this entire domain.

This was not a fair fight. Leon already knew that.

“I will be taking your sub-talents,” Leon said calmly, a faint grin forming as he rushed forward again.

His sword moved like a streak of light. Another orc fell.

Behind him, Emilia planted her feet firmly on the ground. Her eyes focused as she gathered spirit energy.

Light gathered at the tip of her scepter. It intensified rapidly.

And then… She fired a [Divine Beam].
