He let a sigh leave through his mouth as he looked towards the exit once. ’Shall we make our way back now?’

Soon, Emil woke up inside the male dormitory. The environment had changed completely; the bright light of the moon stretched across the floor as a cool breeze entered through the slightly opened windows.

"It’s already night?" He shook his head once before he leaned his back against the bed support.

’Avatar.’ He said inwardly. Right away, a panel appeared in his vision, which was shimmering with bright light.

Emil looked at the panel and slowly started stroking his chin. He was thinking about what he should invest his stat points in. ’What should I do? I never fought alongside my summons, but I do want to fight... should I allocate them equally? No, wisdom is more important for a summoner.’

He let a sigh pass his mouth as he muttered under his breath. "Whatever it is."

"I’m all set for the time being." He muttered as he trailed his finger towards the [Log Out] option. Before pressing it, a thought appeared in his mind. ’I still have tons and tons of work to search up. It’d be best if I went to do it right away.’

He pressed the button; soon his surroundings turned all black. There wasn’t anything other than dark in his vision.

Slowly he took down the VR helmet and placed it on the bed as he got up.

The cracked walls of his room had started to leak water; drop by drop, it fell inside the bucket, which was there to prevent the floor from getting dirty.

His gaze drifted to the window. The scenery outside had changed. Rain poured from the sky, droplets streaking across the glass. By now, night had already fallen.

While he walked towards the table on which his phone was kept, he looked at the wall clock. Its glass was broken; cracks were spread across its surface.

Even its hands were frozen; most probably it had suffered from a technical fault, or the batteries had long died.

He picked up his phone and looked at the time, and it was already 7 PM. He had started playing the game at around 11 a.m.

By the time he looked outside, nearly two days and one night had passed within Elysia Online, even though only four hours had gone by in the real world. Every hour in the game was equal to just five minutes outside.

"Interesting concept. Now I definitely got to know why people of this world were so crazy about this game."

Without wasting any time, he walked back towards the bed and sat on it. He entered the passcode and unlocked the mobile.

He noticed that he only had 200 MB of data left. A frown crept onto his face. He hadn’t used his mobile data at all, so why was it almost gone? He glanced around the room before a notification about the loan surfaced in his mind.

A thought lingered in his brain that made him shake his head once in sheer disbelief. ’Yeah... this guy is so dirt poor that he couldn’t even afford a decent data pack.’

Instead of wasting time, he tried to search for an app that carried all the videos related to Elysia Online. He found something called ’MeTube’ and clicked on it right away.

The surface opened; there was a small search button. He typed the name ’Elysia Online Money System’. Multiple videos popped up because of that keyword.

But the one at the top had millions of views, so he decided to trust it and turned it on.

"In Elysia Online, there are three types of currency: copper leaves, silver leaves, and Golden Leaves."

"A single Copper Leaf is worth two real-world dollars, while a Silver Leaf is worth ten dollars, and a Golden Leaf is worth fifty dollars."

"Copper Leaves could be earned through ordinary gameplay, but Silver and Golden Leaves were much rarer. They were mainly obtained by completing Special Quests, Hidden Quests, and Event Quests."

"There was also another way to obtain higher-tier currency. Five Copper Leaves could be combined into one Silver Leaf, while five Silver Leaves could be merged into a single Golden Leaf."

By the time the video ended, Emil finally had a clear understanding of how the game’s economy worked.

He leant back in the bed; his brain cells were counting the amount of Copper Leaves he had in total. "I got 20 from the pouch Quest, 10 from the Sub-Quest. 150 from the Dwarven Quest and 45 from Sara’s Quest."

Silence spread across the room for a few seconds before he continued. "In total, I have 225 Copper Leaves. Which means I have a total of four hundred and fifty dollars."

His face lit up; a warm yet satisfied smile appeared on his face. "In just a few hours I earned four hundred and fifty dollars... Man, I want to Log Back in and play more."

"But not now. I’ll rest for a while, and Log In next morning."

He was about to lie back on the bed when a pop-up related to Elysia Online and several other topics appeared on the screen. Before he could click on it, his daily mobile data limit was exhausted, causing MeTube to freeze.

"Fuck it." He said out loud before tossing the mobile on the other side of the bed.
