One Piece: I Upgraded the Strongest Man in the World

Chapter 75: It’s Over—The Treasure Vaults Are Empty! Orochi’s Brutal End!

  • Next Chapter

Meanwhile,

The Whitebeard Pirates’ Division Commanders who possessed the power of the Glint-Glint Fruit (Pika Pika no Mi) had all transformed into beams of light.

They darted throughout Kaido’s territory at incredible speed, turning every corner of Onigashima upside down.

No hidden chamber, secret passage, or reinforced wall could stop them.

They only had one objective:

Find the treasure.

Some of the commanders were particularly clever.

They captured a few Beast Pirates and quickly forced information out of them.

Before long, they had discovered the locations of the treasure vaults.

The moment they opened one of them—

Everyone was stunned.

Mountains of treasure filled the room.

Massive chests were stacked like hills.

Gold coins, jewels, gemstones, and precious treasures covered nearly every inch of the vault.

Everything glittered brilliantly.

The sight exceeded even their wildest expectations.

"Brothers, we’ve hit the jackpot!"

"Hahaha! Take everything you can carry!"

"If you can’t carry it, move it outside and hide it somewhere for later!"

"Exactly! Don’t leave them a single Berries !"

Their efficiency was terrifying.

Within minutes, the vault had been completely emptied.

As for where all the treasure went—or how much had truly been taken—only the commanders themselves knew.

"Let’s go!"

"Next location!"

As soon as they left—

BANG!

The vault doors were smashed open.

The Flying Six rushed inside.

They had expected to see mountains of gold and jewels.

Instead—

The entire vault was empty.

Not a single coin remained.

"It’s over..."

Page One’s voice trembled.

"The vaults are completely empty!"

Disbelief filled his face.

The others were equally stunned.

For a moment, nobody could speak.

"This is bad..."

Ulti’s voice shook.

"If Lord Kaido finds out..."

She swallowed hard.

"Without that money, what are we supposed to eat and drink in the future?!"

Black Maria’s face had turned pale.

She knew exactly how important this treasure was.

Rumor had it that this was the fortune Kaido had accumulated over many years.

Now it had vanished overnight.

Just imagining Kaido’s reaction sent chills down her spine.

"Stop standing around!"

Black Maria suddenly snapped back to reality.

"Hurry up and catch those bastards!"

"Damn them!"

Ulti roared.

"If I catch them, I’ll tear every last one of them apart!"

At this point, Onigashima was rapidly descending into complete chaos.

To make matters worse, a few of the intruders had apparently wandered into the prison district.

Finding the situation insufficiently chaotic, they had simply opened all the cells and released the prisoners.

The Flying Six hadn’t learned about that yet.

Once they did...

They’d probably explode from anger.

Wano Country — Flower Capital

The once-glorious pleasure district now lay beneath a storm of lightning.

The entire building looked as though it had been cursed by an enraged god.

Scorch marks covered every surface.

The air was thick with smoke.

The smell of burning filled every corner.

Almost nothing remained intact.

The place had become a wasteland.

Kurozumi Orochi lay curled up on the ground.

Fear filled his eyes.

His entire body trembled uncontrollably.

"Y-You..."

"D-Don’t come any closer!"

As he spoke, he desperately crawled backward.

His clothes had long since been burned into charred rags.

Even his legs twitched occasionally from terror.

Step by step—

Izou approached him.

Nearby, Komurasaki stared in disbelief.

Her heart nearly stopped.

After looking repeatedly, she finally confirmed it.

The man standing before her really was Izou.

The swordsman she remembered.

Yet now he was so powerful that even she felt intimidated.

However, she couldn’t reveal herself.

Not now.

Because Orochi was merely a puppet.

The true tyrant ruling Wano was one of the Four Emperors—

Kaido.

As long as Kaido remained alive, Wano’s fate could not truly change.

So she suppressed her emotions.

To conceal her identity, she continued playing the role of an ordinary courtesan.

She deliberately trembled in fear and collapsed to the floor.

Weak.

Helpless.

Completely harmless.

Meanwhile, Orochi’s attention was entirely focused on Izou.

He noticed nothing unusual about her.

Right now, he only cared about one thing.

Survival.

"Guards!"

"Someone save me!"

His soul practically left his body from fear.

Izou raised a hand.

"30 Million Volt Thunderbird!"

Countless bolts of lightning gathered in the air.

They merged into a gigantic thunderbird and screamed forward.

The distance was so short that Orochi couldn’t even react.

The thunderbird engulfed him instantly.

Lightning exploded around his body.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"

"Save me—!"

His cries abruptly stopped.

Orochi’s head lolled to one side.

He lost consciousness immediately.

The terrifying lightning had completely overwhelmed him.

"Hmph."

"Trash."

Izou stepped forward and checked Orochi’s breathing.

Nothing.

No pulse.

No breath.

The Shogun of Wano was dead.

Without a doubt.

"This is merely a fraction of what you owe Oden."

Izou’s eyes turned cold.

"Kaido."

"One day, I’ll kill you with my own hands."

Just as he turned to leave, his gaze inadvertently landed on Komurasaki.

For some reason...

She felt familiar.

A strange sense of recognition surfaced in his heart.

Yet he couldn’t place it.

The feeling puzzled him.

At the same time, it made him slightly suspicious.

Komurasaki’s heart immediately tightened.

She lowered her head.

Avoiding his gaze.

If her identity were exposed now, not only would her own safety be endangered—

Twenty years of sacrifice would become meaningless.

She had endured for over two decades.

Until Kaido fell, she could not afford even the slightest mistake.

Otherwise everything would be lost.

I’m sorry, Izou...

Please forgive me.

The time hasn’t come for us to reunite yet.

Just as Izou was about to speak—

A deafening roar erupted from outside.

"Lightning brat!"

"Get your ass out here and face Jack!"

The thunderous voice shook the entire district.

Another one?

Izou quietly looked out the window.

In the distance, a colossal mammoth was slowly approaching.

Its body was enormous.

Thick fur covered every inch of it.

Massive tusks gleamed beneath the sunlight.

The creature radiated overwhelming pressure.

Izou slowly smiled.

"One of the Three All-Stars..."

"Jack the Drought."

His eyes narrowed.

"I’ve wanted to meet you for a long time."
