One Piece: I Upgraded the Strongest Man in the World
Chapter 74: Chaos on Onigashima — Kizarus Everywhere!
The other members of the Flying Six who arrived on the scene were equally stunned by what they witnessed.
"Whitebeard actually came! How dare he?!"
"Idiot, did you forget that Whitebeard isn’t the same as before?"
"Every Zoan user knows how ridiculous recovery abilities are. Lost vitality can be restored In an instant."
"Terrifying. Whitebeard was already a monster, and now he’s actually fighting Lord Kaido on equal footing!"
"I don’t think Whitebeard is even serious yet," Black Maria said, frowning as she analyzed the battle.
Page One clenched his fists and snorted.
"I think Lord Kaido hasn’t gotten serious either. Don’t overestimate the enemy, and don’t underestimate Lord Kaido."
Black Maria didn’t immediately respond to Ulti’s dissatisfied complaints.
Instead, she continued observing the battlefield.
However, a growing sense of unease lingered in her heart.
Something felt wrong.
Very wrong.
Ulti stomped around impatiently.
"Hmph! This is so boring! Whitebeard came alone, so there’s not even a fight left for us!"
Her voice was full of irritation.
The moment she said it, Black Maria’s eyes suddenly widened.
She finally realized what had been bothering her.
That’s right.
Given Whitebeard’s personality—and the style of the Whitebeard Pirates—there was no way he would come alone.
If Whitebeard was here, then others had to be supporting him from the shadows.
Immediately, Black Maria became alert.
She scanned the surroundings carefully.
"Everyone," she said seriously, "something is definitely wrong. Whitebeard wouldn’t come here by himself."
Concern was evident in her voice.
"There must be others hiding somewhere. A one-man operation isn’t the Whitebeard Pirates’ style."
The others immediately came to the same realization.
"Damn it!" Page One cursed. "We’ve been fooled by the Whitebeard Pirates!"
"What happened, Pay-Pay? Who tricked you? I’ll beat them to death!" Ulti shouted angrily, looking ready to start a fight on the spot.
At that moment—
One of the Three All-Stars, Jack the Drought, hurried over.
He looked up at the fierce battle still raging between Kaido and Whitebeard in the sky.
His expression darkened instantly.
Turning toward the Flying Six, he barked:
"Why are you all standing around here instead of helping Lord Kaido?!"
Black Maria nearly rolled her eyes.
Was this idiot’s brain filled with nothing but manure?
Couldn’t he see that Kaido was currently holding his own?
And since when had Kaido ever needed help in a fight?
Anyone foolish enough to interfere now would probably die without even knowing how.
Still, she restrained herself from saying it aloud.
"Jack, something’s not right."
Page One quickly explained their suspicions.
Jack’s face grew even uglier.
Just as he was about to explode—
Bao Huang’s voice suddenly rang out.
"Everyone! This is bad! There are Kizarus running all over Onigashima!"
"What?! Multiple Kizarus?!"
"Bao Huang... do you even hear yourself?" Ulti said flatly.
"No, no, that’s not what I meant!"
Bao Huang hurriedly corrected herself.
"There are lots of people with abilities similar to Admiral Kizaru’s moving all over the island! It looks like they’re searching for something!"
As Onigashima’s surveillance specialist, Bao Huang’s eyes were everywhere.
Very little escaped her notice.
Whenever something unusual happened, she was usually the first to know.
"As expected."
Jack’s expression turned grim.
"I knew Whitebeard wouldn’t come alone."
He cracked his knuckles.
"They dare target the Beasts Pirates? I’ll crush every last one of them."
"Where are they now?"
Bao Huang grimaced.
"They’re everywhere."
"Everywhere?"
"Those people move ridiculously fast. It’s practically teleportation. We can’t accurately track them."
She rapidly listed location after location.
"The warehouses."
"The prison."
"The orchards."
"The kitchens."
"The streets."
"...Even the bathhouses."
"There are sightings everywhere."
Bao Huang’s voice grew increasingly frantic.
"The entire island is full of glowing people!"
At that moment, another urgent report arrived.
"Wait!"
"A new intruder has been spotted near Shogun Orochi!"
Everyone immediately turned their attention toward the report.
"The intruder possesses lightning powers. A Logia User."
"And unlike the others, he hasn’t moved."
"He’s remained with Orochi this whole time."
Jack, who had been growing increasingly annoyed with Bao Huang’s reports, had nearly reached the point of stomping the talking mouse flat.
But hearing a concrete lead instantly redirected his anger.
’Orochi is useless,’ Jack thought.
’Can’t rely on that fool.’
"If that’s the case, I’ll personally go capture him."
Jack turned toward the others.
"You deal with the intruders on the island."
With that, he issued his orders and immediately departed.
The Flying Six remained behind, all wearing displeased expressions.
Ulti snorted.
"Hmph! Since when do I take orders from him? I’m staying right here to watch Lord Kaido!"
Page One immediately agreed.
"Yeah. Since when does he get to boss us around?"
After venting their frustrations, both of them looked toward Black Maria.
Black Maria’s expression remained serious.
"Regardless of what we think of Jack..."
"The intruders on Onigashima must be stopped."
Her voice was calm but firm.
"No matter what their objective is, it can’t be good for us."
Her words reminded everyone of the situation’s severity.
Sasaki nodded.
Although he wasn’t happy with Jack’s attitude either, he understood what mattered most right now.
Protecting the Beasts Pirates.
Black Maria smiled faintly.
"Let’s let that big idiot of an elephant enjoy himself for a while."
With that, she turned and left first.
"Let’s move."
Page One gestured to the others.
"We need to stop those Glint-Glint Fruit users."
"Hmph!"
The Flying Six quickly dispersed across Onigashima.
Meanwhile, chaos continued to spread throughout the island.
