One Piece: I Upgraded the Strongest Man in the World
Chapter 106: Super Nuclear Blast · World-Annihilating Requiem!
Jozu finally couldn’t hold back any longer and spoke in a low voice. He knew he had already reached the limits of his body. If he continued, he might suffer irreversible damage.
At that moment—
Whitebeard burst into laughter.
"Gurarararara! Jozu, you’ve already done more than enough!"
His voice was filled with praise and encouragement.
He was extremely satisfied with Jozu’s performance. Although the result wasn’t perfect, Jozu had truly given it everything he had.
The acknowledgement warmed Jozu’s heart and made him realize that sometimes, giving it your all was enough.
Grinning broadly and flashing a set of gleaming white teeth, Jozu’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
" Ron, what should I call this move? I still haven’t come up with a name."
"Hm..." Ron tilted his head in thought. "Ten thousand focused beams became Myriad Paths: Nuclear Blast. Then two hundred thousand of them should be called..."
"Super Nuclear Blast · World-Annihilating Requiem!"
"Hahaha! That’s a great name! No matter who the enemy is, we’ll send them straight to the afterlife with this one!"
Jozu chuckled and, without caring about the condition of his arms anymore, thrust both hands forward.
Two dazzling suns shot out instantly!
Like colossal fireballs carrying endless energy and scorching heat, they flew from his palms.
Less than an inch in front of him, the two suns fused together once more.
Their flames intertwined, forming an even larger and more radiant sphere of light.
The stacked energies multiplied, and the terrifying power surged thousands of miles in the blink of an eye!
The gigantic sun tore through the heavens, dragging a brilliant golden comet tail behind it.
Its radiance illuminated the entire sky, as though it intended to devour the world itself.
Everything in its path was vaporized.
Whether clouds or air, all were instantly erased by the overwhelming energy.
In the blink of an eye, it plunged into the White Sea.
The massive sphere of light dropped into the sea like a meteor.
However—
To everyone’s astonishment—
Nothing happened afterward.
Not even a splash.
It was as if nothing had occurred at all.
Silence engulfed the scene.
It felt as though time itself had frozen.
A suffocating stillness hung in the air. The only sounds were faint breaths and Jozu’s heavy panting as his exhausted body trembled at its limits.
After a long while, someone finally muttered in confusion,
"What happened? That attack was insanely powerful. Why wasn’t there even an explosion?"
"Exactly! That was two hundred thousand attacks combined. The destruction looks weaker than Myriad Paths: Nuclear Blast. That doesn’t make any sense!"
"This is ridiculous. My brain’s about to burn out trying to understand it!"
"You illiterate idiot. Vice Captain Ron said that’s called your brain can’t handle it !"
"..."
Ron himself was equally puzzled.
He had expected a world-shaking explosion from the Super Nuclear Blast, but the scene before him left him completely baffled.
He had even prepared to draw his sword and split apart the incoming shockwave at any moment.
Yet the surroundings remained eerily quiet.
As though nothing had happened.
Portgas D. Ace and Marco wore similarly confused expressions as they stared at the perfectly calm White Sea.
Logically speaking, an attack of that magnitude should have caused catastrophic destruction.
At the very least, it should have stirred up some waves.
Yet the sea remained completely placid, without even a ripple.
Jozu was dumbfounded as well.
No one understood the power of that attack better than he did.
But...
Why...
Why was there no reaction at all?
Just as everyone was scratching their heads in confusion, something shocking occurred far below, above Jaya in the Blue Sea.
Usopp pointed toward the sky and shouted with all his strength.
"Look over there!"
His voice was filled with shock and unease.
The rest of the Straw Hat Pirates immediately turned toward the same direction.
There, they saw the small golden sun.
Suddenly, dragging a dazzling comet tail behind it, it descended from the heavens at incredible speed and crashed directly into the sea.
The sight was so overwhelming that everyone stood frozen in place.
Then—
BOOM!
A thunderous explosion shattered the silence.
The first thing they saw was an enormous column of water erupting from the ocean.
It was as though the entire sea had begun to boil.
The shockwave spread outward, launching unimaginable quantities of seawater into the sky.
A magnificent blue curtain formed between sea and heaven, making it impossible to tell where the ocean ended and the sky began.
However, the distance was simply too great.
Combined with the lingering mist, the Straw Hats could only make out vague outlines of the spectacle.
Even so, the scene was beyond anything they could imagine.
Everyone felt both excitement and fear as they wondered what would happen next.
Usopp’s voice trembled.
"W-What... what is that...?"
His words echoed through the air.
No one answered.
Every person aboard the Going Merry had been completely stunned by the sight.
Shock and fear were written across their faces.
More than ten seconds passed before they finally recovered.
Then they felt the ocean shaking beneath them.
The ship began rocking violently.
Chopper looked around in panic.
"What’s happening?!"
"An earthquake? No—it’s a seaquake!"
"That’s bad! Run! That wall on the horizon is a tsunami! Move!"
"Hiss... What was that attack just now?! That’s terrifying!"
"Some kind of weapon? A single explosion caused this much destruction and created a tsunami of this scale...!"
Before anyone could finish speaking—
The sky suddenly darkened.
Moments later, torrential rain poured down.
The raindrops hammered the deck like countless arrows.
Even more horrifying, the rain was mixed with dead fish blasted out of the sea.
They rained down onto the ship with endless splattering noises.
At that moment—
A massive shockwave, comparable to a violent hurricane, swept across the ocean from afar.
It slammed directly into the Going Merry.
The force was so overwhelming that the entire ship shook as though it were about to break apart.
BOOM!
Following a deafening crash, the Going Merry tilted nearly fifty degrees to one side.
It was on the verge of capsizing.
"Not good! Everyone run to the other side! The ship’s going to flip over!"
