Chapter 3061: The Underground Prison V

The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm actually destroyed part of its body and then connected the two separate parts together. This kind of tenacity is not seen normally in any other monster. The boss monster of this dungeon must be something that has immense regeneration to be able to pass it onto the monsters on the lower floors. After all, dungeon bosses and dungeon monsters cannot be completely unrelated.

"Should I use the skill I also used earlier? I can have it melted down and even turn it to ash with my sword." Apolaki stated.

"No. It is not viable to use flames on it. The only reason Kanlaon’s dragon breath is that effective is due to it having dragon blood." Adrian stated as Kanlaon told him that the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm actually has dragon blood in its body but it is not enough for it to qualify as a low tier dragon.

If what Adrian thinks is true, the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm might have evolved into this when it came into contact with a monster with dragon blood. The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm might have devoured the being with dragon blood and mutated to what it is now. The fact that its body has a sheen and scales points it to having dragon blood mutation and not hereditary measures.

"So, you are saying that it is resistant to flames? I have the scorching heat of the sun behind me. I can melt it easily with one swipe." Apolaki stated.

"You will also become weakened along with it. Do you think that this is the only Frigid Deep Scaled Worm here?" Maya pointed it out before Adrian could which stammered Apolaki as she was correct.

Adrian is very much glad that Maya is here to lessen his burden of speaking and explaining. Apolaki is by no means dumb but he leans more into practical applications of his body than the mind. He loves moving his body more than making his mind work after all.

"The only way to defeat it is to make it break its body like before." Adrian stated.

"You mean create pinpoint accurate attacks that makes its body bleed and have it no choice but to discard it like earlier." Maya stated.

"Yes. I shall be the one that binds its movements so all of you will need to destroy three different sections of its body. Can you do it?" Adrian asked but their time to chat did not become long as the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm turned towards them in rage and charged once again as it has become enraged.

"We can do it as long you stop it." Maya stated.

"We are counting you then." Apolaki stated as he also went into position.

"I can do it with Bunn Bunn. Leave this to us." Tala stated and also moved into her position.

The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm charged towards Kanlaon as its fury is directed at the latter for destroying a part of its body. Adrian told Kanlaon to act as the bait as he was already there in the first place. Kanlaon nodded as he was the most obedient among the soulbounds and the one that has the most trust to his master. If Kanlaon did not trust Adrian then the latter would not have been able to get small vials of blood for potions after all.

Kanlaon did not fire off his dragon breath as that would just make the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm coil in an erratic manner. Kanlaon did something different and used all of his six dragon balls to create chains of different elements that clasped on the body of the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm. Some of the elemental chains missed as they were slow but the faster ones grabbed at the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm tight.

With the sudden halt of its movement for a brief second, Sirius also launched shadow tendrils to latch onto the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm. Charon also released chains of ghostly metal and bound the other parts of the body of the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm that is not captured by Kanlaon and Sirius. Still, the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm is not a monster of a powerful dungeon for nothing as it could still elongate its head to attack the being next to it.

"Chains of the Void." Adrian stated as part of his face suddenly transformed into something that cannot be distinguished.

Rifts from the Void itself appeared next to neck of the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm. Chains that resembled the deep universe came out and bound the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm in place. With the enemy stagnated, Apolaki, Maya, and Tala made their moves immediately. Apolaki coated his blade with flames and plunged it directly to a soft part of the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm’s body.

The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm writhed in pain but it could not emit a sound since its mouth has also been bound. Maya also used her attack as the moon mark on her forehead suddenly became a crescent which also changed her bow. The bow that was only half her body suddenly enlarged to be larger than her.

Maya also floated in the air as she strums the bowstring with ease and released arrows that are bathed in pure moonlight. As soon as she dealt damage, a healing and gentle moonlight got released towards Adrian and the others. She really does heal when she deals damage and this is the first time that they are experiencing it for themselves.

Tala and Bunn Bunn are different as she finally released her weapons which are actually battle boots. Tala’s Battle Boots are incredibly durable and sharp with crescent moon edges to give off a deadlier capability. Bunn Bunn also has a sharp sword that can pierce the body of the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm.

Bunn Bunn would pierce the body or rather mark it and weaken it then Tala would jump high and kick it with all she has got. The impact of one of her stomps cracked the body of the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm. The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm could not handle the pain and actually turned rabid as it thrashed about.

The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm also exhibited another unique ability. All of the things that held it down were all destroyed when its body started to squirm. It actually becomes invincible when it sheds part of its damaged body. All of the restraints that were binding it have lost all their power as the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm shed three parts of its body.

The large Frigid Deep Scaled Worm suddenly looked smaller than before which made it less menacing but it actually moved faster. The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm slithered towards the easiest looking target and that was Bunn Bunn as the latter is a rabbit that moved awkwardly in the freezing area. The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm was about to devour Bunn Bunn as it needed a way to replenish energy but Tala is not someone that could be neglected.

Tala and Bunn Bunn are connected via one soul which means both can sense danger from each other. As soon as a heavy bloodlust was detected behind Bunn Bunn, Tala did not become reserved as she immediately jumped into action. She released a powerful roundhouse kick that actually hit the jaw of the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm which disoriented it.

"Nice job. Bind it once again!" Adrian stated as all of his soulbounds went into action again.

The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm got bound again and the others attacked its body once more. This occurrence happened multiple times until the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm no longer had any body to shed left. The Frigid Deep Scaled Worm became a pitiful moving head at the very end which became food for Saena as she actually devoured it happily.

"There are no follow up notifications which means we have yet to clear this floor." Adrian stated.

"Well, it became easy as soon as we created a plan. The most of the burden is on you and your soulbounds to bind the enemy down." Apolaki stated.

"It only became easy when we learned its movements. You can say that the way to get there has been difficult." Maya stated.

"Agreed! Still, it was fun!" Tala added.

"We should get a move on then while we are all in high spirts." Adrian stated but he soon ate those words as more Frigid Deep Scaled Worm actually popped out from the ground.

They dealt with three more Frigid Deep Scaled Worm but they did not defeat them simultaneously. They only faced one at a time but it was not as smooth sailing as the first one. The second one had a more potent mental ailment screech that Tala and Bunn Bunn became unable to move for half an hour. There are other instances of this as well but the Frigid Deep Scaled Worm were all defeated in the end.
