Omega Summoner
Chapter 3057: The Underground Prison
"So, this is a dungeon? Can dungeons just be created with a stomp of a foot?" Tala asked as Bunn Bunn could only shake his head from the naivety of the mistress that he serves.
"The dungeon has always been there but there was simply no accessible way from the world above. I guess I should thank those players that have monster souls another time since they basically provided us with the entrance to the dungeon where we needed to go." Adrian stated.
"Did you know that it would be a dungeon?" Apolaki asked.
"Not really. I thought it would just be an underground cavern that has a wide network but a dungeon is actually plausible as well. Let us go in to see what this dungeon holds." Adrian stated.
"We are really going in without a plan? We will also not wait for Solstice?" Maya asked as she knew that Solstice should be part of their activity but suddenly backed out because of something.
"If you mean my sister then she is currently tied up because her boyfriend has arrived in the country. She is basically helping him settle down on the apartment that she found for him. I also wanted to watch how that future brother-in-law is scared right now as our father came with elder sister. But we already promised to hang out in the game and I am the one that needs to keep that." Adrian stated.
"Why do I feel like you did not want to come with us?" Maya stated which made Adrian and Apolaki laugh.
"I am just messing with you because you are so serious about everything. You should know how to be less stiff when it is just us, cousin. You know that we do not judge people when we all hang out because that is only reserve for formal occasions." Adrian stated with a smile.
"He is right as the elders are not really watching us now. You already passed the simulated battle arena which means that we are free to do what we want now. You do not need to be so uptight, cousin." Apolaki stated as he knows just how much pressure Maya is in.
"Let us end the heavy talk already and go into the dungeon. Tala is practically excited to start exploring." Adrian stated as he pointed towards Tala and Bunn Bunn waiting for the others to enter.
"I guess so. Games should be enjoyed as they say so that it will be time well spent." Maya stated as she sighed helplessly as the logic behind her cousins’ words are flawless.
"Let us go then!" Adrian declared as all of them entered the cavern.
[You have entered ??? Underground Prison.]
"You said that it will be an enjoyable dungeon run but why is the dungeon name so ominous. It is basically an underground prison." Maya stated which made Adrian cough as he did not expect that the dungeon is gloomy and drab.
"Also, what is the case with the question marks in the name of the dungeon? This is prime horror movie material." Maya added as she seems excited despite her commentary.
"I honestly do not know why there are question marks. I just invited all of you to a dungeon that contains one of the items that I am searching for. I might not be able to share the quest but the dungeon is at least legit." Adrian stated.
"You really have uncle’s mindset of turning everything into something profitable for you." Apolaki commented.
"I have long accepted that fact even though I do not want to admit it. Anyways, going inside a dungeon that is not difficult would not be a good thing for us. Apolaki and me are demigods while both of you are on the verge of breaking through which is quite fast, I must say." Adrian stated.
"I guess your words are true as any ordinary dungeon will just be swept by us. What is the difficulty of the quest that you received?" Apolaki asked.
"Let us just say that it is the highest difficulty but that is actually considering the entire quest as a whole." Adrian stated with a smile but Apolaki’s smile could be seen vanishing slowly by the second.
"Dude! You are walking us to our deaths! We have no healer in our party!" Apolaki stated.
"I have Saena and we also have cousin." Adrian stated as he pointed towards Maya.
"You can heal?" Apolaki asked in shock. He knew just how brutal and precise Maya’s real-world killing moves could be.
"Why? Do you think that I cannot be a healer?" Maya’s eyes suddenly looked towards Apolaki with an icy and piercing glare.
"I am not saying that! I am just in shock that you can heal. I always thought that archers cannot heal as I have never seen a priestess that can wield a bow." Apolaki stated.
"She is not a priestess though." Adrian added which shocked Maya as she could not believe that their cousin is this sharp.
"I am very much in awe of your observation and deduction capabilities, cousin. You should really pursue a career where skills like those are needed. Like law enforcement or something." Maya stated.
"Pass. My mother says it is dangerous which is why she just wants me to pursue something that does not put my life on the line." Adrian replied as he began inspecting the area around them with Tala and Bunn Bunn.
"If you are still an archer then why can you heal?" Apolaki asked.
"Do you want to tell him, cousin Equinox?" Tala stated as she looked at Apolaki.
"It is something related to her job class and her body. If I am not mistaken, you are what the people of the world call the Moonborne." Adrian stated which made Maya laugh in awe and shock.
Maya did overhear that their cousin, Adrian, has a semi-photographic memory because he remembers everything with his body. This would be a great gift but it also became his curse on the first few months when he got into that accident. His body could remember how it got hit and got broken all over which tormented him even in sleep.
She only overheard it through passing but never really tested it but now she is confident that Adrian truly has that ability. It might also be the reason why the person before them is called the true number one player of Pandemonium. He did not achieve all of his feats just because of the race of his character but also due to the talent that he possesses.
"What he said is correct. I am indeed a Moonborne which is a special race that actually have healing abilities. The healing abilities are a bit quirky though as I heal more with more damage I output. I have dedicated support spells but most of them focus on purification. The healing is merely an effect of a skill that converts the damage I do into a healing lunar light." Maya stated.
"I see. I guess the game still has logic in it." Apolaki stated which made Maya glare at him.
"I cannot detect any enemies." Adrian stated.
"Bunn Bunn, can you hear any enemies?" Tala asked.
"I cannot hear them as if my ears are muffled in this environment." Bunn Bunn replied.
"This dungeon is weird, big cousin." Tala stated as she has never experienced a dungeon that does not have enemies greeting you.
"Sirius, check further in." Adrian commanded as Sirius got dispatched away and a lump of shadow darted towards the deeper area of the dungeon.
"Master, I cannot detect any enemies as well. I have not encountered any enemies in the area." Sirius stated which also puzzled Adrian.
"Something happened?" Apolaki asked as he wanted an out from all of the glaring that Maya was giving him.
"The first floor of the dungeon is just empty." Adrian replied.
"Really?! I experienced this once and the dungeon was incredibly difficult or has a concept." Apolaki stated.
"You can actually be useful sometimes." Maya commented.
"If we based it on the naming of the dungeon that has prison on its name then it must have a concept. The first floor a prison does not have any danger in it but the second floor down might be different." Adrian stated.
"Master, I have found the stairs that lead below." Sirius stated which Adrian told the others.
All of them went down but Adrian had to warn them to be ready as the next floor is definitely dangerous if they are based on Apolaki’s experience. The first floor is merely a cavern that is incredibly dark but all of them can see well even in darkness. They thought that the dungeon will be all cavern but the second floor proved them wrong.
The second floor of the dungeon is actually a place where vines, and thorny thickets could be seen scattered all over. The entire floor was covered in all of it but not all of them are healthy. More of the vines and thickets are already dead but they are still deadly since they are covered in thorns.
