Chapter 2869: The Stone Egg Hatches

The Stone Egg could be seen filled to the brim with Chaos Energy. The energy that Adrian supplied is waking up the creature that is sleeping inside the egg. He already knew that the monkey beast inside will at least have the Monkey King Strain in it which means it can evolve to that. What Adrian does not know is what other strain the egg carries now that it has changed to a mythical tier beast egg.

Mythical tier beast egg is incredibly rare and are only laid by divine beasts since all mythical tier beast will become divine beasts when they reach maturity. The monkey beast that is inside of Adrian’s Stone Egg is no exception. The only difference is that the monkey beast will definitely have fewer evolutions compared to when a normal monkey beast is trained from scratch.

This is the dilemma of summoner or beast master players as they can either get a strong beast at the get go with powerful eggs or train a normal tier monster to a divine tier if they get the chance. There are pros and cons with each set up because one would be having a monster with a dedicated evolution path while the other can become even stronger depending on how good the summoner or beast master are.

Adrian already has monsters that fall into this category and one of them is Saena since she already has a path laid behind her. She will become a Sarimanok in the end due to her bloodline and the only thing that Adrian needs to do is gather the necessary materials needed for her to achieve that. The monkey beast that will hatch from the egg will also be the same path as Saena but it might get other evolutions due to having another strain in it.

“Are you not going to form a contract with the egg while it has yet to hatch?” Old Man Pann asked.

“Actually, I already formed a connection or soul link with the egg as soon as I completed the energy requirement it needed. It actually refused my soul link connections earlier when I tried but it became automatic when I gave it the energy in my body.” Adrian stated.

“So, it is a sentient monster even though it is in the form of an egg. There are very rare beasts that have such understanding and most of them are divine beasts. Tell me honestly, brat… is this egg from the Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong?” Old Man Pann finally asked what he is thinking all along.

“Wow! You really are such a beast enthusiast, old man. You are correct in that sense but you can say that this egg is created from the fusion of all the remnant divine sparks present in the soul fragments of the Monkey King. The beast inside will not be the Monkey King that lived back then but you can say that it will be his descendant.” Adrian stated.

“Not descendant because what you did is akin to creation using the divine spark of a god as proxy. There are many monsters that actually came from broken divine sparks of gods. Some of the divine beasts that we have today are such things.

This is basically the same thing as what you have now. You can even say that this child is a brother to the Monkey King. The Monkey King back then is actually quite promiscuous and smooth with the ladies which is why there must be some people in the eastern continent that is descended from him.” Old Man Pann stated as it seems he is knowledgeable of the Monkey King.

Adrian is not shocked that a Primordial Beast has descendants and he had human descendants by how Old Man Pann phrased it. It is not out of the norm in the eastern continent as there are demi humans present there. Some powerful demonic beasts there are able to shift into human form and thereby conceive children with humans easier. Of course, these demi humans are far different from the beastkin or the Selvaggians.

These demi humans might share having animalistic features but they are not Asmodian Descendants. They are descendants of demonic beasts or divine beasts that took on human form. Adrian wanted to know where the descendant of the Monkey King is in the eastern continent but they did not even show up in the battle with the Yellow Emperor. One might say that they must have been purged over the centuries as the eastern continent is not peaceful in the olden times.

CRACK!

The Stone Egg that was consolidating all of the energy that was poured into it suddenly showed some movements. A small crack even formed on the surface of the egg as if to say that the time for hatching is upon them. Adrian and Old Man Pann looked at the egg in delight as they will witness the birth of a mythical tier beast. Both of their eyes sparkled as they waited for the egg to move another inch.

Old Man Pann liked Adrian from the start because he could smell a beast enthusiast when he sees one. Even though Adrian acts all nonchalant at the egg, he is actually incredibly curious and want to know more about it than anyone. In fact, he is one of the lurkers in the Monster Expedition forum in the game. He would often read about the detailed descriptions of monsters and even contribute some data regarding monsters in that secret forum. A forum only for players in Pandemonium that love to know about monsters and how they live.

CRACKKK!

A louder sound came from the egg which also made visible cracks on its shell. The first cracking merely broke through the tougher parts of the shell itself while the second one finally broke the egg entirely. The cracks on the egg spilled over light as if the being inside of it is emitting some form of light. As soon as the second crack was emitted, succeeding sounds of breaking happened.

The egg that looked like stone painted with gold and jade rings suddenly exploded in a powerful golden light and the egg shall that looked like stone suddenly became soft white clouds that had a tinge of gold dust on them. Adrian and Old Man Pann did not blink even though the light was extremely bright as they wanted to see what kind of monkey beast will emerge from the egg.

“I already chose a name for him.” Adrian stated.

“Why are you sure that it is male?” Old Man Pann stated as he looked at Adrian.

“I did not which is why I prepared two names and luckily it might like it. Your name will be…” Adrian stated as he was about to say the name he already prepared but the monkey beast suddenly gathered all of the clouds that spread and it formed a platform for it to sit on.

The monkey beast then gazed towards Adrian with a carefree expression and then circled around him while riding the cloud. The Sky Jade Monkey looked incredibly free and liberated as it is overjoyed in seeing the being that is his master and benefactor. Adrian then held out his hand which signaled the Sky Jade Monkey to land on it.

As soon as the Sky Jade Monkey landed on Adrian’s hands, both him and Old Man Pann marveled at the sight of the cloud that it sat on form into cute little feathery wings made of clouds. The pair of wings on the back of the Sky Jade Monkey were made entirely of clouds which means it cannot be used for it to fly but it can transform into a mode of transportation like earlier.

Adrian and Old Man Pann also observed that the Sky Jade Monkey is only about ten inches tall which is a drastic size change to its hulking Stone Egg. The Stone Egg that Adrian brought was at least two feet tall but the beast that came out of it was only ten inches tall. Adrian brushed off that change as he looked closely at the Sky Jade Monkey.

The soft fur on the Sky Jade Monkey is emerald in hue but there are some golden undertones. It has big cute eyes that are silver in color while it also has some golden bangles on its feet and hands. It also has a cute long tail that also has a golden bangle at the tip but the aura it is emitting is different from a normal beast.

“Lad… I think you just hatched a divine beast directly. The power in that beast’s veins is not normal energy but divine energy.” Old Man Pann stated.
