Chapter 2870: Sky Jade Monkey

Adrian knew that the egg would hatch a mythical tier beast because he increased its rarity but he did not expect that the monkey beast he hatches would have the power of a divine beast this early. Even if the Sky Jade Monkey is still in the infant stage, the divine blood flowing inside of it is real and is at the same level as Adrian’s divine beasts that has already reached adulthood.

“It might be due to the fact that I fed it Chaos Energy as an egg. I think you know what Chaos Energy does, old man.” Adrian stated and Old Man Pann looked at him with eyes that say that he knows.

The Daemos are not privy to Chaos Energy because that is the very energy that created them after all. The last created Asmodian Bloodline of the Creator God were the Daemos. The Creator God Chaos used parts of itself and even dipped its hand onto the Void to stabilize Chaos Energy. The Asmodian Daemos are basically beings that have been created from the fusion of Chaos Energy and Void Energy.

If the Daemos were not created via Chaos Energy and Void Energy then they would not have the power to defy time, space, and force. You could even say that they are an accidental creation that is also a spark of curiosity from the Creator God Chaos. Still, what Adrian gave the egg is pure chaos energy which could either go the aether route or the nether route depending on how the affinity is.

Thankfully, the Sky Jade Monkey seems to go into the route of life energy but there is still a trace of death energy in its body. It seems that Chaos Energy really does live up to its name as an unstable form of energy that was used to create all things. It seems that the Sky Jade Monkey’s bloodline is also affected as it has pure divine beast bloodline.

Description: A special species from the Simian Divine Beast race as they could be said to be the pinnacle of all Simian Divine Beast. They are known as the controller of heaven and earth as they have abilities that control both the Sky and the Earth. Unlike the other monkey species that are playful, the Sky Jade Monkey is said to be like a sage and has a gentle personality.

The Sky Jade Monkey beast is said to only appear once every epoch and they are not able to breed with other creatures. Their powers and abilities are said to have been granted by the universe itself. It has great knowledge and able to see the Karmic Values of all beings it encounters. It is said that they become excellent temporary judges for the afterlife.

Adrian was about to blurt out the name he has thought off but he suddenly paused when he saw the other monster strain that is unlocked. He has never seen a monster strain that is only unlocked when a beast reaches adulthood. He already expects the monkey king path as that is already guaranteed but he did not expect that the other path being blocked by adulthood.

“How do I increase its maturity? Do I just need to level it up?” Adrian muttered and a system notification appeared.

[The Sky Jade Monkey will become an adult once it has lived for six months. Make sure to protect it during such dangerous time period.]

“This is quite different compared to the others. It seems a divine beast is really different compared to a normal one. For normal beasts, one just needs to level them up to a certain point and they will grow but the Sky Jade Monkey needs six months for it to reach adulthood.” Adrian stated but he did not worry because that time will just pass quickly since this is in-game time not real-world time.

Just as his thoughts were trailing once again, Adrian saw that the Sky Jade Monkey was tugging at his sleeve. It seems that the little one craves his attention and also wants a name. A name is something that defines a monster and is very special when a summoner gives it to a soulbound beast. The name etches the soul of the monster into the summoner as a lifelong bond between the two.

“I did think of a name but that is just a common name used for monkey beasts. I wanted to add at least Wu to it since that is a way to honor your ancestor which is the Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong. Since you are flying without restraint, I have thought of a word that describes that perfectly as it is a rune that means unrestrained.

One of your names will be Chang which means unrestrained or free in one of the runic languages in the eastern continent. In order to honor the fallen Primordial Divine Beast Sun Wukong, you shall also have the name Wu added as a prefix but I will mostly call you Chang. Henceforth, your full name will be Wuchang.” Adrian stated as he did not know that the combination of those two runic letters had a different meaning.

Usually, the name Wu would mean martial in the eastern runic language and the Chang would mean free. If they are combined together then they will create another eastern rune that has been forgotten since time immemorial. Wuchang is none other than a runic letter that represents that all things are constantly changing and nothing lasts forever, specifically arising, dwelling, changing, and ceasing.

“What is this? A monster strain devouring another monster strain? Is that even possible?” Adrian thought but there were no negatives in this prompt and it needed immediate answer.

“Yes. Please proceed.” Adrian replied.

[The Unknown Monster Strain of Wuchang will now devour the Divine Monkey King Strain. The process for the creation of a new Monster Strain will be six months.]

“In the end, the new monster strain will just show up when Wuchang becomes an adult. That is no problem for me since I would have chosen the unknown strain path in evolving him anyways.” Adrian stated as he would have chosen that rare unknown strain even if the Divine Monkey King strain is present.

“Brat! What did you suddenly do?” Old Man Pann asked as the presence that Wuchang had slightly decreased but there is this underlying pressure that makes one shiver.

Adrian then proceeded to say what just happened to Old Man Pann since he asked nicely. The shock inside of Old Man Pann’s face could be seen as he did not know such a thing could happen. He always knows that a monster strain means an evolution path has been laid but he never seen a strain devouring another strain. The monster strain should be akin to genetic markers but the phenomenon of them devouring each other has never been recorded.

“Wait? What if such a thing is already happening in the world. Some monsters with the same parents usually have different strains but the dominant ones are often the parent’s species. If something different occurred then we call it a mutation but maybe that is not what happens

What if the strains already try and devour each other before the monster infant is born. Those with mutations are just lucky variables of the major strain not being able to devour it! This is such a big finding lad! Excuse me as I will test this theory and grab Aernas to wrote about this!” Old Man Pann stated as he vanished from his location.

“I guess master will be very busy because of Old Man Pann. I am sorry for the sudden burden placed upon you, Master Aernas. I did not think that the enthusiasm of the old man for such things will be ignited. I guess all those books inside his house back when he was still a kid were not for show. Maybe if the old man had a choice and there was still peace then he might have become a monster researcher instead.” Adrian stated with a bitter smile as he knew that Old Man Pann pursued strength because of what happened when evil and distorted gods invaded.
