Chapter 2851: Victory At a Cost
Chapter 2851: Victory At a Cost
All of the guild alliance members cheered when they were able to defeat the Greater God of Seas, and Rivers Yamm. All of the players that were part of this raid also gained divinity while those that were yet to become a demigod had a boost in their Persona. As soon as the players became demigods, the news about Persona became even more verified and players already know what it is.
This also made all the players that were just mindlessly roaming about to get missions that can increase their fame. After all, one way to increase one’s persona level is through fame. Human race players need fame more than any other races as their Persona level requirement is tied to this. Needless to say, the players are now rushing to become demigod level beings like the top players even though they are pretty much late to the race.
“We did win but the entire port city is devastated.” Frey stated as she could see that all of the buildings are destroyed.
The only buildings that did not collapse as much is the guild house of the Undertow guild but even that needs total fixing. Frey did not say that to diminish the festivity but it will take at least a month of building the entire port city to recover their loses. The Undertow Guild even told them that each of the guild members that participated will get some form of compensation but Adrian declined it.
“I do not need compensation since you let me keep the materials that I got from defeating the Lotan. That is enough compensation for the Pantheon guild and we do not need anything else.” Adrian stated.
“The Valor guild will only get the promised gold coins that is a hundred per player. We do not need the drops from the god that we defeated as we do not even need to use it. Use it to hasten the recovery of your territory. The recovery of your port city is more beneficial for the guild alliance than drops from a god.” The Valor Guild Leader Ain stated as he is friends with the Undertow Guild Leader Ahab.
“Our guild leader also agrees with that decision.” Alder stated as he was messaged by Anastacia.
“Thanks for everything. Do not worry as we will make sure that all of the members of our guild alliance will stay toll free if you use our boats to sail to other continents. We will also accept any missions with you if there are treacherous seas involved. Our doors will forever be open for all of you.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated as he bowed to the other guilds.
All of the Undertow Guild members followed what their guild leader did as they know that the reclamation of this port city would be impossible without the help of the other guilds. In fact, they can recognize that they would be throwing their lives around if not for their powerful combatants. The Undertow Guild only has their guild leader that can deal significant damage to a greater god since he has become a demigod.
“Also, I should tell you this but make sure to get a mage to create detection posts near the seas. There were other divine beings that were spying on the battle. I was trying to chase them but the sea is not really my dominion. We managed to chase them for at least two hundred meters below but they vanished after that.” Adrian stated which made the Undertow Guild Leader Ahab wary as he also gave some information.
“You see. We usually do trades with mermaids or other seafolks and they said that the oceans and seas are unstable right now. It is also the reason why the Samebito are now roaming parts of seas that they are not really a part of. The entire underwater world is very chaotic right now as gods of the oceans and seas are now fighting for territory.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated which made all of the guild leaders with territories near seas and oceans alert.
“Do you notice anything strange in the waters near our territory?” Adrian asked Altum as he is the one that roams the oceans and seas near Avalon.
“Not really. The oceans and seas close to us are rather free from foreign seafolk encroachment. Might be due to the monster that Old Man Pann is raising near the cliffside. Also, they do not dare to invade the waters where the Deep Ones are swimming.” Altum replied.
“Actually, about that… I have noticed that we are in need of your permission.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab stated as he looked towards Adrian.
“Yes? Please do not be shy since we are all friends here.” Adrian stated.
“Actually, would it be alright to have some of my guild members change their race to a Deep One?” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab asked.
“Why are you asking me permission for that?” Adrian asked in a confused tone.
“Huh?! I thought your permission is needed since we asked one of the Deep Ones when we visited your territory.” The Undertow Guild Leader Ahab replied.
“When did that become the case? I do not control the race change option for the Deep Ones. You should be asking him.” Adrian stated as Altum could be seen slowly going towards the sea as if he wanted to escape.
“Altum… what did you do? You hold the secret for the racial change of the Deep Ones race.” Adrian asked with a smiling face but his aura is terrifying.
“About that guild leader… I kind of got engrossed in my underwater travels that I told the Deep Ones that you should be consulted when it comes to important matters like that.” Altum stated with a dry laugh but Adrian could be seen glaring at him since the former knows that his guild leader hates more work.
“I shall educate my guild member but feel free to change your race. I do not forbid anyone to change their race as long as you do not harm my people or grumble after the fact.” Adrian stated as he grabbed Altum by the fin.
