Chapter 2819: The Fate of the First II

The Distorted God Katagma actually became able to distort space even with Arhizo present. The mastery over space of the distorted god is more powerful compared to the Asmodian Daemos that is battling it. Arhizo suddenly saw his wife and stopped the attack that is meant for the Distorted God Katagma. If he pushed through then he would have killed his own wife by his own hands.

The Distorted God Katagma smiled as it suddenly opened a cavity on its chest which released a piercing stinger. This stinger passed through the body of Iremia and Arhizo instantly as they were not able to create any defenses for it. The Distorted God Katagma laughed as the enemies that it had trouble with are now impaled. The life force of the two started to slip away but the Distorted God Katagma had other plans for them.

“Both of you shall be my nourishment for my evolution!” The Distorted God Katagma shouted as the stinger started to retreat back into its chest with the impaled Iremia and Arhizo.

Telos saw all of this happened as he defeated all of the apostles that gathered. The only problem is that Telos’ soulbounds are all heavily injured and can no longer fight. The only one left to fight is Vio but even his dragon scales have cracked due to the intense fight. Still, Telos charged towards the Distorted God Katagma as his parents are about to die.

“No! Escape, my child!” Iremia shouted as she pushed through the words even though she was losing her life.

“Run away, my son! We shall entrust the future to you!” Arhizo stated with a smile as he looked at Iremia with a smile.

Iremia immediately understood why her husband smiled at her. Arhizo wanted his wife to at least see his happy face before their end. The Distorted God Katagma did not stop in trying to devour the two but Arhizo is faster. Arhizo instantly created portals that swallowed Telos and the other survivors while he ignited his own core.

The Distorted God Katagma tried to take out Arhizo but Iremia suddenly took a seed from her pocket and forced it to bloom. The seed became vines that tightly wrapped around her husband and to the stinger that is piercing them. The Distorted God Katagma even tried to slice them into bits but Iremia burned her life force to forcefully grow a seed of a spirit tree. The vines that wrapped around them would need at least two gods with the Distorted God Katagma’s power to break.

“Farewell, our son.” The voices of Telos’ parents echoed in his ears as he vanished into the portal.

Once Telos was sent away, Arhizo’s core overloaded and finally exploded with all of the energy that it has and is built up. The Distorted God Katagma got swept away in the blast along with other apostles, dark gods, and distorted gods that was supposed to reinforce the former. In the end, the entire area where the fight happened was erased from the map. Only a large crater filled with nothingness remained as everything inside was vaporized.

Telos returned back to the location to see what happened but it was already too late. His parents have already died and there was nothing left to be reminded of them. Telos could only breakdown on the spot as his thirst for vengeance grew stronger than ever. Telos instantly changed his passive nature and became bloodthirsty as a desire for revenge. Still, revenge does not always make one’s heart full but only lessen the hurt that one feels.

“Such a heavy atmosphere. I do not even blame Telos for overworking himself as he joined the frontline.” Adrian thought as he stood up to check what is the current status of the war.

“You are alive! Thank goodness!” Bloom stated as she hugged Telos.

Bloom is showing concern to Telos because the latter just came from a large fight where only half of them survived. Telos processed grief by defeating numerous enemies no matter the cost. In fact, some of his soulbounds would willingly sacrifice themselves to defeat the enemy as their sign of devotion. Their master is clearly not in the best mental space but he is also fighting for the future of the world in his own way.

“I am fine as well. Thank you for the concern.” Boulder stated as his body could be seen bandaged all over as he was also present in the group where Telos was.

“I know you will not get hurt because you are sturdier than Telos. If you died then he will definitely die as well which is why you must never die!” Bloom stated as she playfully punched Boulder and the latter pretended to be hurt. The two stopped playfully fighting when they saw that Telos was not smiling which made them a bit solemn.

“So, why are you here? I thought that the Strategic Corps is stretched thin right now and need all the personnel that they can get?” Adrian asked since Bloom is important when it comes to relaying information as she could use the ley lines.

“The Asmodian High Council is calling for you. It seems to be very important that they even told me to come personally and not use the ley lines as some enemy god might be able to hear it.” Bloom stated.

“I see. I will just rest here then.” Boulder stated as he lied down on the bed.

“You are called upon as well. It seems that all three of us will be part of this mission.” Bloom stated.

“Let us all go then and not keep them waiting.” Adrian stated as he knows that this instance will only be finished after the war.

Adrian and the other two went to the designated area where the Asmodian High Council are present. They arrived earlier than expected but were stopped by the guards as it seems that the council is talking with others at the moment. The discussions suddenly stopped when a group of Selvaggians came out. Adrian and the others greeted the other group with a bow and they reciprocated in turn.

“Please enter now.” The guards stated.

“Kalu Luwa, Boulder, and Bloom, welcome. Please come closer to us.” The Asmodian High Council stated as there were representatives for each Asmodian Species before them except for the Jotunn.

“We have come to answer the call.” Adrian and the other two replied with a vow.

“First of all, we are thankful that all of you seem to be fine. In fact, we are thankful that there are still people like you even in these troubling times.” The leader of the Asmodian High Council which is Boulder’s mother stated honestly as a lot of the younger generation died because of defending or fighting.

“We merely done our duty as descendants of the universe’ protectors.” The three of them replied as they bowed their heads.

“What we will ask of you is not something that will be easy as it will put all of you in danger.” The Head of the Asmodian Council stated as she and the others created a powerful anti-scrying barrier that will not leak sound or even mana.

“The three of you will be given a task to guard the next generation. A way so that we will never die out but it will put all of you in grave danger. I am sure that all of you already know what happened with the Creation Relic of the Jotunns.” The Head of the Asmodian Council stated.

Adrian knows of this as this is information given to Telos. The creation relic of the Jotunns was destroyed. It seems that everyone wanted the power of the Asmodians which is tied to the creation relics of each race. The Jotunns have weakened and some were even forced to take slumber as their creation relic was broken. The sudden lost of the powerful gigantic Asmodians diminished the fighting power of the Asmodians.

“The creation relics are being targeted by the foreign gods and even some gods in our own universe. It might be a difficult pill to swallow but the Asmodians can only trust other Asmodians. We shall task the named one to guard the last creation relic.” The Head of the Asmodian Council stated as she presented Adrian the Eye of Chaos.

“Why me?” Adrian asked as the creation relic of a race is not something that you give to anyone.

Telos is not even purely an Asmodian Daemos but only inherited Asmodian blood. He should not be the one guarding the creation relic for the Daemos. Another should be more qualified than him as the Daemos themselves can guard it perfectly.

“Why do you doubt yourself? You are the worthiest candidate for this because you have the heart of someone that will never back down. This has been voted by your peers that have grown with you. Do not worry as we will only task you to deliver this to the expected location. Multiple phonies have been made to blind the enemies.” The Head of the Asmodian Council stated as the mission is only to deliver and not protect.
