Chapter 2818: The Fate of the First I

[Do you wish to save the current progress and exit the gaming pod?]

“Yes.” Adrian stated as he needed to rest after all of the quests that he did simultaneously.

Adrian already used up three days inside the game to complete up to the third instance of the Omega Sequence. The time for the quest is actually sped up by two times which is why it he managed to blitz right through the quests in a day. The only problem is that it also takes quite the mental toll which is why he exited the gaming pod.

Adrian activated the exoskeleton to make it easier for him to walk. The Pandelympics are actually delayed this year as there were lots of things that happened in the game. It seems that having lots of patches made the balance changes very difficult and that some players need to catch up compared to the others. If they held the Pandelympics now then Hou Yiwei might dominate all of the events that he will participate.

The news about the Pandelympics is actually quite detailed and that he is also being chosen to represent his country. Adrian did not really feel like participating in the Pandelympics as a representative. In fact, it is not just him but other players that participated once also did not want to participate again. The veteran players want other newbies to represent the countries in order to give exposure to them.

“I am still invited as a special guest though. A Mythical Tier Treasure Chest is something that I also want to get. They want me to participate in some sort of special match once again. Kyungsoo (Creepysoo) already agreed to be the Demon King this year but there seem to be something special at play for that event. I should at least agree since I will also meet with the others there anyways.” Adrian stated as he then started to exercise.

Adrian’s exercise is quite easy on the body as it is walking for at least an hour or until his body feels fatigue. While walking on a treadmill, he will have to wave his arms in different directions to check if there is part of his lower body that will react. He was told that he could take off the exoskeleton in a few months if the test results for two succeeding months are good which is why Adrian is fired up.

Adrian would not have been this fired up if he will not meet Frey in the real world. He wanted to at least look presentable and not look pitiful in front of her. Even though Frey would not look down or take pity on him if he appears in an exoskeleton, Adrian still worries by himself as anyone would want to look their best when it comes to meeting someone they like.

“Ok! Let us rest and do the Final Instance!” Adrian stated as he made sure to rest as early as possible.

After Adrian cleared the Third Instance of the Omega Sequence, he instantly got transported back to the special subspace where he will see all the events that happened. In this space, he is once again given all of the memories or the events that transpired since he is reliving the life of the First Summoner. After Telos created new Summoner spells, the other summoners discovered their fighting styles.

The three fighting styles which were the Support, Vanguard, and the Hybrid Summoners. The support summoners that stay behind the battle and supported their soulbounds were the most numerous. Summoners that wanted to support their soulbounds via spells are the safest option which is why they are the largest in number. It is also safest option for those that do not have confidence in their own battle capabilities.

The next type of Summoner which is the Vanguard Summoners are the ones that fight alongside their soulbounds in battle. These are usually the summoners that focus on synergy in battle with their soulbounds. They also have soulbounds that could transform into weapons or armors hence the confidence in the fighting ability.

The fewest in number are the Hybrids just like Telos as this would mean having both support and vanguard capabilities. Telos is the perfect example of this as he can support from afar but also join in battle using the armaments. These summoners are often the elites that had their talents blossom when they awakened. Still, the number is quite low as the ability to do both means more time and effort needed to be done.

Adrian then saw a scene where fifty years have passed but Telos still looks like a preteen as it seems he inherited the body characteristics of his parents. He is also a demigod which makes sense why aging also slowed down. Besides researching and teaching summoning magic, Telos also investigated the source of the incidents regarding the arrival of the dark gods.

The activities regarding dark gods that became quite suddenly started a resurgence after two decades. The appearance of numerous Apostles of Dark Gods in key places have started and the destruction of society is predicted to happen. Even the gods have started to actively hunt down these Apostles as they have started to become a nuisance.

For the first three decades, only Apostles of the Dark Gods have appeared and wreak havoc. Many lesser gods were tasked with dealing with them as a task force was created. Everything became slightly quiet again but everything changed after another decade. The sky that is littered in stars suddenly got cut and a large slash that leads to an endless darkness appeared before all beings in the world.

A large monstrous god that is in the form of a large worm with one large eyes and multiple tentacles eyes peered into the rift. This was actually just one part of the Distorted God Azathoth as it awoke and wanted to devour this world to claim it as its own. The normal citizens that peered straight to the image of the Distorted God Azathoth either went mad, sick, or died. The gods and the Asmodians immediately united to close the rift that appeared.

The Distorted God Azathoth did not find the gods and Asmodians charging towards it as enemies but merely troublesome beings daring to go against it. With a roar from one of its heads, the Distorted God Azathoth sent out the dark gods and distorted gods that came with it. All of the dark gods and distorted gods joined forces to claim this world that is full of life.

[The First War of the Gods.]

The War of the Gods that Adrian has only read in books and scrolls is now unfolding right before his very eyes. The world that was beautiful suddenly became a hellish landscape as the clash of titanic powers like gods literally changed the area. Numerous gods from each side fell in battle while even the protectors of the universe which are the Asmodians are also getting killed.

Even if the divine beings in the world were not fully allied with one another, the arrival of the dark gods and distorted gods became the catalyst for everyone to work together. The lands that were beautiful and were full of life became barren and broken. The gods that talked and guided the people were now dead while the mortals that could not fight have already perished.

Adrian could not believe that the world has been reduced to such a degree but there is some light. Some of the dark gods that were merely looking for a new home have sided with the Gods of Pandemonium. The Gods of Pandemonium accepted them as allies but also made some contracts in place to prevent betrayal. The War of the Gods that was in the favor of the Distorted Gods has come to a stalemate and this is the time Adrian is sent to the quest.

Adrian has possessed Telos’ body once again but everything felt different. When he entered Telos’ body before it was filled to the brim with energy and curiosity for the unknown. Now, Adrian only felt sorrow and exhaustion as if Telos is now becoming depressed. Then again, Adrian did see a scene that broke his heart and that is the death of Arhizo whom is Telos’ father.

Telos and his parents were evacuating the ones under their care but they were caught by a Distorted God and its numerous apostles. The Distorted God Katagma is a god that could manipulate space which meant that hiding in pocket dimensions were not ideal when against it. Telos also participated in the battle as he handled the apostles while his father battled the Distorted God Katagma.

The battle between the two is fierce as they were evenly matched. Telos would have been able to help his father as he took down most of the apostles in record time but everything changed when the Distorted God Katagma fought dirty. The Distorted God Katagma bent space with everything it has and even sacrificed a part of its body to suddenly teleport Iremia next to it.
