Chapter 2772: Ragnarok X

Adrian saw what the Flame Giant Surtr has started and can only remember what they have spoke about. He was originally not the one that would summon the Flame Giant Surtr to end Ragnarok but circumstances of fate have pointed to him. The moment that Adrian appeared before the Flame Giant Surtr brimming with the energy of the Fates is the moment that the Flame Giant Surtr knew that it was already time.

The continuous interweaving and changing of fate that the God of Mischief Loki has done made the end of Asgard more tragic than before. It should not have ended with all of the gods dying but the God of Mischief Loki killed the Great Star Gazer and even twisted fate to send Adrian to the Void. The God of Mischief Loki that was immune to the whims of fate is no more which is why the Norns immediately went to work.

The god that they despised is finally no longer immune to their punishment. Still, the Goddesses of Fate are not beings that just punish just because they want to. One needs to have strings of karma attached to them and they were shocked when the God of Mischief Loki became vulnerable to karma. The numerous threads of hate, evil, and resentment have tangled all nicely to the thread of fate that represented the God of Mischief Loki.

The first weave delivered the Summoner that has the power to call upon a god. This is the reason why Adrian arrived in Muspelheim instead of another world that is closer to the main world when he exited the Void. The second weave solidified reality that the Flame Giant Surtr will descend unto Asgard when all of the conditions are fulfilled. The third weave is the end where the millennia old promise of the Jotunns for vengeance is fulfilled with Asgard burning in the last Jotunn God’s flames.

“I SHALL CLEANSE THIS REALM CREATED FROM THE BODIES OF MY BRETHREN! ALL OF ASGARD SHALL PERISH UNDER THE FLAMES OF THE LAST JOTUNN GOD!” The Flame Giant Surtr declared as what he said is true.

The beautiful city of Asgard which is made with metals and rocks that are all reactive with magic are made from literal bodies of Jotunns that the Aesir Gods have slain. This is the reason why the God King Odin can cast spells with Asgard as the medium and why this divine realm is no ordinary one. If not for the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki, the God King Odin might have defended it against the Flame Giant Surtr.

There is a hidden function of Asgard as long as the God King Odin is in it. The hidden function is that all Jotunn Gods will be weaker when attacking them. This is the reason why the Flame Giant Surtr cannot get revenge even if he wants to eradicate Asgard. This binding law only activates with the God King Odin’s power though which means it is eradicated once the god king was killed.

In a way by a twist of fate, the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki really did start Ragnarok and is the reason why it will happen. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki did not want to believe it but it cannot do anything to the Flame Giant Surtr. The divine soul of the Flame Giant Surtr is enough to prevent the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki from harming the divine body of the former.

The World Boss Fenrir Unchained cannot charge towards the Flame Giant Surtr because a Noblesse and all of Adrian’s soulbounds were fighting against it. In other words, the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki is now left with no dependable ally because all of the most power gods in Asgard have been killed. Some were killed by him while the others were killed by his sons. It is not false to say that the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki also orchestrated the fall of Asgard.

“NO! THIS CANNOT BE!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki shouted as he started burning his own divine soul to combat the divine soul of the Flame Giant Surtr.

Just as the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki lost hope, a golden arrow suddenly pierced the shoulder of the divine body of the Flame Giant Surtr. The sudden damage he received also translated to the divine soul which made it more transparent for a split second. The Flame Giant Surtr searched for the origin of this arrow because it is clearly divine in nature.

The arrow came from the group where the Asuras are located and it is fired by none other than Hou Yiwei. Hou Yiwei is unlike the other players as of the moment because he has already broken through his Third Job Class Advancement and also changed his race to a Godkin with a Godsoul. In terms of purely fighting power, the current Hou Yiwei is above Adrian when it comes to stats.

The golden bow with jade and black gold adornments is pulled back. From the bow itself, one could already see that it is at least a Mythical Grade weapon. The feathers that adorned the bow are made from a Dark Phoenix which is a Divine Beast which creates black flames. The arrows released by Hou Yiwei also contained such pure and piercing divine energy which can definitely hurt even the gods.

A flurry of arrows rained down on the body of the Flame Giant Surtr as Hou Yiwei knew that he along with the others will die if the source of these flames did not die. The Flame Giant Surtr started to divine his attention and it also proved quite the predicament. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki used this chance to stab the Flame Giant Surtr’s divine soul with his divine ice. The damage suffered by the Flame Giant Surtr’s divine soul is rather great but the arrows heading for his body is an even bigger threat as it could stop the channeling.
