Chapter 2773: Ragnarok XI
Chapter 2773: Ragnarok XI
The arrows released by Hou Yiwei also has increased damage to beings of fire and sun. Hou Yiwei has the Godsoul of the God of Archery Hou Yi and they are actually 99% compatible. One would think that the consciousness of the God of Archery Hou Yi would inhabit the body of Hou Yiwei but that is not the case. The Godsouls are basically just a special race of Godkins that have assimilated the souls of gods that are no longer sentient.
Godsouls have the power of those gods minus the annoying being that nag or tries to takeover your body. Hou Yiwei managed to make a move now because the other soulbounds are pinning the World Boss Fenrir Unchained down and nobody is minding the Asuras and the Fomorians. The reasons why no one cares about the Asuras and the Fomorians is the fact that they are trying to create a protected zone in their area.
The remaining Asuras and Fomorians are creating a barrier using their divine energies to protect themselves from the flames created by the Flame Giant Surtr. This means that the Fomorians and the Asuras are locked in place since they cannot leave the barrier. This does not mean that they cannot attack as Hou Yiwei could easily launch projectiles from their current location.
The arrows that were supposed to reach the divine body of the Flame Giant Surtr is suddenly absorbed by a portal made of nether mist. Hou Yiwei immediately knew why this happened because the one that protected the Flame Giant Surtr appeared before them. As if he was a powerful being that is not afraid of even godlike entities that are defending themselves inside of the barrier.
“Why not stop the attacks for now?” Adrian stated which made Hou Yiwei’s ears perk up.
Hou Yiwei intended to partner up with the God King Odin in order to conquer the north and somehow get a large territory in this place but the latter has died. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki forced them to be allies but it was more of a threat that they will be killed if they did not stand with the former. To Hou Yiwei, the matters that he wanted to do in the northern continent has already been shattered and he is reduced to a mere laborer but he and his guild members cannot escape.
“Demon!” The Fomorians ad the Asuras shouted but they cannot do anything to Adrian right now or else the barrier protecting them will be destroyed and they will be engulfed in flames.
“Are you working with them?” Adrian added as his eyes became filled with killing intent.
“We merely boarded the same portal to arrive here. I did not know that this would be the fate of me and my guild members when we just hitched a ride.” Hou Yiwei stated which infuriated the Asuras and the Fomorians.
“If you are not working with then why are you attacking the one trying to bring down the being that is taking you as captive?” Adrian asked the question but his eyes were devoid of emotions and filled with bloodlust.
“My guild and I have no way to escape other than stopping that Flame Giant. We are just doing this to make sure that we are safe. Surely, you will not condemn us for that when you brought that Flame Giant here.” Hou Yiwei stated.
“Is that so? You want to escape. If that is the case then I will give you a choice.” Adrian stated which made Hou Yiwei’s ears perk up.
“Either you continue in attacking my ally over there and suffer the same fate as the rest of these dregs or I can send your guild away and return all of you to your territory in the central continent.” Adrian stated which shocked Hou Yiwei.
Hou Yiwei knew that Equinox is not giving him this choice as a favor but a transaction. He knows that his arrows can damage the divine body of the Flame Giant hence he is eliminating the threat. Even though Hou Yiwei can damage the Flame Giant, he knows that he does not have the upper hand here as his arrows were sent to who knows what dimension.
The only reason Equinox proposed this is to reduce the annoying beings lingering in this area. He did not want to deal with Hou Yiwei because it was troublesome. Hou Yiwei found this proposition as disgraceful as he was being treated as a minor inconvenience but he is also a guild leader. His guild members were having a hard time as of the moment just protecting themselves against the heat.
Hou Yiwei might be arrogant and thinks others as useless if they do not benefit him but he has respect for his guild members. They were the ones that believed in him when all he had was talent. They are also very loyal to him and would answer his call as long as he asked for it. In other words, he might be an arrogant prick but he is a good leader to his people.
“I agree to your proposal.” Hou Yiwei stated as he knows that his guild members can only last a few more minutes before some pass out or die.
“I am glad that we are on the same page. I remember this is the coordinates of your guild base, right?” Adrian stated as he blurted out the coordinates of Hou Yiwei’s guild.
It is not a secret that his guild is located at the territory that they own but the fact that the Demon can accurately say it worries him a bit. It means that Equinox will be able to launch a sneak attack on the territory if he wished. Then again, Hou Yiwei built his territory with anti-demon measures in mind as they have a barrier that prevented teleportation directly inside of their guild house. The coordinates that Adrian stated were those of his territory gates.
“You would dare abandon us when he helped you gain that Godsoul!” The Asuras shouted but Hou Yiwei sneered.
“I paid all of you quite the sum and even did all of you some favors. I have more than repaid what you owe me when all you did was point me to the location of the godsoul. You were even expecting me to fail and use my soul to feed it. I just happened to obtain it when none of your servants could.” Hou Yiwei stated as he can now openly say what he wanted to say since he cannot say his honest thoughts at the southern continent.
“Negotiation sealed. Thank you for your patronage!” Adrian stated as he clasped his hands and eight demon arms suddenly covered the area where Hou Yiwei and his guild members were.
The Asuras and the Fomorians thought that this was an attack which is why they enhanced the barrier but the large nether demon hands passed through the barrier. The next thing that they knew is that Hou Yiwei and his guild members were no longer in the area. All of them vanished as if they were abducted and all of it was done by the demon in front of them.
Adrian suddenly got deprived of his nether energy and most of his mana. He returned to his default demon form as a result of teleporting a large number of players to another continent. He thought that he would at least retain his Netheros True Form but it was not the case. He tried to remember the feeling of folding space and applied it to teleportation.
Adrian did not expect that it would take quite a toll on his body but he was successful. He wanted to get the feeling that he had when he folded space to destroy a god when he used his Chaos Pierrot. It seems that he is still needs to do things in order to reach that level but he can at least feel he is close to it.
“I cannot use it for attacks now but transporting allies or targets can be done.” Adrian muttered.
“What about us!” The Asuras shouted.
“We are victims of that trickster too!” The Fomorians added.
“All of you will die here as fate decreed. I merely took out the ones that cannot truly die from this place. Also, what made you think that I will save both of your groups when you dare to attack my territory. I would say that I will savor torturing your souls in the afterlife but everything will turn to ashes.” Adrian stated as he gave the grim fate that awaits the Fomorians and Asuras that arrived.

“It’s an attack!” One of Hou Yiwei’s guild member shouted as he saw large nether demon hands trying to crush them but he stopped screaming when he noticed he is back to their territory.
“It seems the Demon did not lie. We are back here safely and all of us are accounted for.” White told Hou Yiwei.
“I shall accept this humiliation for now. I will shoot you down when I get the chance, demon.” Hou Yiwei stated as he looked to the north.
