Chapter 2768: Ragnarok VI

The glyph that contained the essence of the Titan King Kronus was smacked away by none other than Adrian. He appeared from a rift that he created but it was only small enough to bring him back to the main world. The demons that worried about where their young lord is suddenly rejoiced as their youngest Arch Demon has finally returned. The Daemos Elders were the ones that were the happiest as they could see that the youngest was not harmed or distorted in anyway but they did not know that Adrian’s Origin Energy has already transformed.

“Demonic BASTARD!” The World Boss Fenrir Unchained shouted as he finally saw the demon that killed him.

“I am still fighting with you, rabid dog!” Elder Ascalor stated as he pushed himself to create a powerful gravitational pull that sent the World Boss Fenrir Unchained back to the ground.

The other Daemos followed in the footsteps of Elder Ascalor and increased the gravity on the winged wolves which made them crash to the ground. Elder Koronn and Elder Bronx could not do this because the two divine wolves, Skoll and Hati, are not affected by shifts in gravity. They are divine wolves that were meant to devour the sun and the moon after all which makes sense why gravity does not affect them.

“Huh? I remember that I killed three of them already. Why are you back here in the living world? Did one of the gods of death abuse their authority?” Adrian stated as his eyes looked deadly as he looked above.

Numerous messages from the gods of death suddenly flooded Adrian’s divinity channel as we call it. It was all excuses and words saying that they do not know as the gods of death are terrified of the him. The Mediator of Death is known to be an amiable and agreeable being as long as one is justified but he becomes an entirely different being if you do something wrong. You can escape punishment if it is once and is an accident but the second time means punishments.

Some of the lesser gods of death were even complaining to their higher ups as they were punished by Adrian because they slacked off. The Mediator of Death was even more militaristic compared to the God of Death Abaddon. He also controlled Limbo which means he can hold off souls from reaching their death realms. If no new souls reach the death realms of the gods of death, then they will be weakened as their power is tied to their duty after all.

“I will ask that later. The problem now is the fact that beings that should be in the underworld are now roaming the mortal realm. This is breaking the delicate balance between life and death as we speak. It also means that the perpetrator of this fiasco would have to suffer the punishment for inciting the taboo.” Adrian declared as his wings came out and his nether energy swirled around him.

“Do you think that a puny demon like you can stop me!? I am already a Titan! Even demons fear our race! I have already changed Asgard into a domain where a Titan becomes more powerful! I have gained the ultimate power!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki shouted as he released a powerful blast of ice towards Adrian.

“Oh?! I guess the situation is already perfect. All requirements have been met.” Adrian smiled as he created a magic circle that he has never used before.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki did not believe what Adrian is saying as he still continued the attack but the large magic circle summoned by the latter did put him in a rather uneasy feeling. Still, the demon would definitely die from his attack since Adrian showed no signs of actually defending. Elder Ascalor instantly came in front of Adrian and planned to defend him from the attack but the latter told him that it is not needed.

“Kill them, my second child!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki followed up as he sensed that the demons were too confident.

The zombified World Serpent Jormungandr rose up from the ground and coiled around the ice beam created by the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki. The large body of the zombified World Serpent Jormungandr could actually reach the skies. Elder Ascalor suddenly felt that he would not be enough to defend against the two at the same time.

“The prophecy is set. A kingdom that is stolen from a king. A brother that betrays their brother. A land without its protector. A broken kingdom guarded by a monster.”

A voice from the magic circle echoed which made the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki shudder. He did not know why but the source of this voice made his body feel fear. The source of this voice came from the magic circle that Adrian has created. The voice made the mana in the air hot and turbulent as if the temperature is rising which made the icy battlefield melt.

“Divine Summoning: Flame Giant Surtr!” Adrian shouted as the magic circle suddenly burned like the sun as a large flaming sword came out of the magic circle and plunged downwards.

The large flaming sword plunged down and defended Adrian and the demons against the ice beam attack of the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki. Not only did the flaming sword protect them, the World Serpent Jormungandr also got impaled by the mouth and the wielder of the sword emerged from the magic circle. The appearance of the Flame Giant Surtr plunged the area in a powerful heat that even those that do not sweat are actually sweating.

“THE MASTER OF MUSPELHEIM HAS ARRIVED TO END RAGNAROK!” The Flame Giant Surtr shouted as he fully descended in the mortal realm.

The Flame Giant Surtr plunged down together with the World Serpent Jormungandr. When he crashed to the ground, a large crater could be seen and the ground became a sea of magma. The World Serpent Jormungandr that has been reanimated is burnt to a crisp. The only thing that remained from the World Serpent Jormungandr are the hardest pieces of its scales and its bones. The Fomorian that reanimated the World Serpent Jormungandr also suffered backlash as it is connected to their divine energy.

“Pity. I always wanted to try snake meat but it could not even withstand my flames.” The Flame Giant Surtr arrogantly stated as it killed a powerful enemy with one attack and made all of the beings around it speechless.

“My child!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki shouted as he created numerous ice spikes and launched it towards the Flame Giant Surtr.

The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki wanted to retrieve the soul of the World Serpent Jormungandr. The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki believe that the Flame Giant Surtr would have the ability to grab the soul of his child since the being before him is a High God. He did not know what the Flame Giant Surtr did to fully manifest in the mortal realm but this should not be possible since the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki have full control of the divine realm of Asgard.

“I shall take this.” Adrian stated as he grabbed a small snake soul that attempted to flee towards the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki.

“My child!” The Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki shouted as he tried attacking Adrian but the Flame Giant Surtr stomped his foot and the ground exploded in fire and magma which snaked towards the former.

“You shall play with this one. I always wanted to defeat a titan as they are inferior born of Jotunns that became gods like me.” The Flame Giant Surtr stated which made the entire world hear the insult that titans are inferior copies of Jotunns that achieved divinity.

The rift above Asgard suddenly trembled as if beings from beyond it were infuriated by the statement. Adrian instantly noticed this and felt that the rift above has connections to a place in the underworld. He did not notice it earlier because he was not close to the rift when he first came here but he is now sure that this rift is connected to Tartarus.

“Whoever made this connect to Tartarus is a nutjob. The connection is not even stable and it is crappy at best.” Adrian stated which made the Titan of Ice and Mischief Loki almost spit blood.

What Adrian said is correct as the connection was so weak that it is difficult to perceive. Either there is something missing or the one that created the connection is sloppy. Nevertheless, Adrian is actually happy that the connection is sloppy or else those old monsters trapped in Tartarus would have wrecked the world but it would have also shown another side.

“A pity though. We could have seen the gods of death arise to the mortal realm if they do escape. It would have been exciting to see those old bones move.” Adrian commented which made the gods of death watching back off even though they could not be seen by the mediator.
